- Audacitor, on 02/15/2008, -3/+75Every time I look Web Sheriff's "badge", all I can think of is You Suck at Photoshop.
- jakash, on 02/15/2008, -1/+40this seriously sounds like my worst nightmare: ABBA, The Village People, a 'Web Sheriff' and the mention of The Pirate Bay going down! Ahhh, it's alright its only a nightmare and could never become true because it's too ridiculus and far fetched :)
Long live TPB! - NoCt1, on 02/15/2008, -0/+31The village people should be happy people still download their *****..
- entrophize, on 02/15/2008, -4/+34***** WAAHHHH.
These self-righteous 'bands' have no idea how ridiculous they look, trying to defend music that was popular 2 decades ago.
I MIGHT be more apt to side with them if they were say, Coldplay or Tool. But come on...ABBA?
The VILLAGE People?
Ridiculous. - zero01101, on 02/15/2008, -0/+28i sort of expected this to link to the onion.
- evanct, on 02/15/2008, -1/+28I love the Pirate Ba
- wolfboy2883, on 02/15/2008, -0/+26People actually bother to pirate Village People music? News to me.
- coheedcollapse, on 02/15/2008, -1/+25If the Village People think that internet piracy is the only reason their crappy music isn't selling they should sit down and contemplate for a bit. It might also help to remind them that disco died ages ago.
- lpmiller, on 02/15/2008, -0/+22Add in Boy George, and you'd have the power of some serious gay going after Pirate Bay.
- Typhoon2009, on 02/15/2008, -0/+21I hacked the Sheriff! But I didn't hack the deputy!
- inactive, on 02/15/2008, -0/+20Isn't it a crime to impersonate law enforcement, eh, Mr. Web Sheriff?
- bscene, on 02/15/2008, -0/+19you're burying the story because of someone else's comments on it?
i could understand if the story itself was homophobic in tone, but it wasn't
why not respond to the homophobe instead? - TripcodeMel, on 02/15/2008, -0/+19I thought the Village People already HAD a police officer?
- cr0m, on 02/15/2008, -0/+19if i become a web sheriff do i get a six shooter and a shiny badge?
- gannondork, on 02/15/2008, -1/+18Young man, there's a place you can go.
I said, young man, when you're short on your dough.
You can stay there, and I'm sure you will find
Many ways to have a good time.
It's fun to stay at the Piiiiiirate Bay. Piiiiiirate Baaaaay! - PleaseJustDie, on 02/15/2008, -3/+20TPB has dealt with Web Sheriff before...
http://thepiratebay.org/legal.php - o2sk8, on 02/15/2008, -0/+16"Protecting your rights on the internet" ...with blinding lens flare.
- normanwall, on 02/15/2008, -0/+15I lol'd. I seriously thought the title was a joke.
- stix213, on 02/15/2008, -0/+14Nah, but you do get a .JPG of both!
- stix213, on 02/15/2008, -0/+13Buried as inaccurate - No one would ever pirate a Village People song!
- mark076h, on 02/15/2008, -4/+17Raise the battle flag prepare the cannons and draw swords!
LONG LIVE THE PIRATE BAY AARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - inactive, on 02/15/2008, -0/+13NO WA
- hakr89, on 02/15/2008, -2/+14The reason The Pirate Bay ignores and makes fun of the Cease and Desist letters is that, every one that has been sent to TPB has been based on U.S. law. TPB is in Sweden where U.S. law DOES NOT apply. If Web Sheriff brings a lawsuit against them in Sweden, I'd bet that TPB would be more then happy to fight them. TPB ignores and ridicules Web Sheriff because they can.
- dsmx, on 02/15/2008, -2/+14As we all know the wed sheriff has had so much success shutting down the pirate bay so far...
- Shawnshank, on 02/16/2008, -0/+10Work on your delivery and get back to me
- getbusyliving, on 02/15/2008, -0/+10I can't believe anyone ever listened to that ***** in the first place.
- edgeofreason, on 02/15/2008, -2/+11***** the Web Sheriff
- nonsequitor, on 02/15/2008, -4/+13Buried your comment for being Homophobophobic--sorry.
- greekgoat91, on 02/15/2008, -0/+8the Web Deputy is much cooler
- TheBigBentley, on 02/16/2008, -0/+7Is it just me or are the only artists who team up with web sheriff the one least likely to be downloaded? What are they suing for, the 4 people who downloaded their CD's?
- Maddoktor2, on 02/15/2008, -0/+7Dear Village People,
http://youtube.com/watch?v=TZXaOcYB3X8
FOAD, you bastards. - gswarriorfan, on 02/15/2008, -6/+13whoops...bury please.
- theaverageidiot, on 02/16/2008, -0/+7Hey!!!!!
(look at my name) - lordmutt, on 02/15/2008, -0/+7Who here also thought this was an Onion article?
- rswelling, on 02/15/2008, -1/+8Disco still sucks.
- EarlOfLade, on 02/16/2008, -0/+6"Web-sheriff" - Only in America... The guy look like your average idiot.
- VaporBro, on 02/15/2008, -0/+6EPIC Faaaaaaaaaail
- inactive, on 02/16/2008, -0/+6The *****?
- bwebb, on 02/15/2008, -2/+8Know how I know you're gay? You like Coldplay.
Lol...oblig. - josseph530, on 02/15/2008, -0/+6Heck, I would strongly agree; however, I'm surprised anyone would even still be interested in these has-beens period!
- 15thPD, on 02/16/2008, -0/+5Barney Fife carrying an unloaded revolver with only 1 bullet in his shirt pocket comes to mind.
- Ryosen, on 02/16/2008, -0/+5Since you're determined to be a prick, I'll be one back. A person's right to free speech protects them from being impinged upon by the government, not other individuals. So, we can sit here all day long and tell you to STFU, and it's perfectly legal. Hell, we can even shove a 2x4 in your mouth to keep it from spewing any more uninformed garbage about the law and being "UNAMERICAN!!" and still would not run afoul of the 1st Amendment.
As for the assault charges, I'm sure they would be worth it. - jawagas, on 02/15/2008, -1/+6Wait a minute, who's illegally downloading Coldplay?
- niceyuk, on 02/16/2008, -0/+5Its fun to sue you with the D. M. C. A.
- peestandingup, on 02/16/2008, -0/+4Its that the 4 signs of the Apocalypse??
- Atomic1fire, on 02/16/2008, -0/+4Newest member of the village people?
(Had to say it.) - PopcornDave, on 02/16/2008, -1/+5Come on now, give the Village People a break here. There's only so much revenue you can bring in playing the county fair circuit dressed like that.
- coheedcollapse, on 02/16/2008, -0/+4What a horrible publicity stunt. "Hey, let's alienate the only people left in the ***** world listening to us!"
- getoffmybridge, on 05/05/2009, -0/+4Publicity stunt to acquire new listeners.
