- raz3000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19This is especially remarkable considering how cumbersome it is for people to put content on the internet in light of paltry upoad speeds. There's a lot of dedicated people out there who want to be heard. Can you imagine the magnitude of user-generated content if the telcos would offer more upload speeds through their...um....networks?
- pegisys, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17c'mon you know you wanted to say tubes ;)
- RichPowers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Web 2.0 bubble: delivering user-created content at high bandwidth costs with no solid business plan.
Cool stuff though. - dawgma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11You were going to say tubes, weren't you? ; )
- dawgma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11uncanny pegisys!
you even added a wink. - mrsark, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8digg isnt generating any content, they are just indexing promoting content that other sites generated.
- karmakanic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Not without the "h", no...
http://www.digg.com - Yez70, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Makes you wonder if groups of people are manipulating the content as well?
- cody50, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I hope this isnt a fad. its pretty cool that lots of the content on the internet is being submitted/moderated by the people who actually have to look at it!

"other than digg users"
(you don't get it, do you?) - w0rd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@Yez70
In light of recent events it does seem likely that there are moves here and there from interested parties on the user-generated-content sites. - adjustafresh, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2who, other than digg users, are generating the content on digg?
- vinoal, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2If only I could find one of those sites!
- pcdave79, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Alot of big names in this article . . . MySpace, YouTube, Google, Wikipedia . . .
is it really a suprise that the sites that let you publish your own content are the sites most visited . . I visit my MySpace profile everyday to check up on my friends . . . YouTube I check that @ least weekly to see what new content has been posted . . . Google I use daily . . . Wikipedia . . I use that one whenever I need to look up information on something . . . Image Shack is used alot by MySpace users to publish their photos . . . Heavy.com is alot like YouTube . . . . all of these are nothing though to my Digg.com usage . . . lol . . . Digg rox . . . . - Tbobx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I like the article and agree with the content. But my "dig" on Digg is that the poster should find a better source that KSBI TV in Oklahoma. What do the reporters there know about web content?
- karmakanic, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2@mrsark
So, I guess that text you just typed was content-free, huh?
(I think not.) - gd007, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1ttp://www.digg.com/ doesn't work for you?
- spanishcarlos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@ karmakanic: I think it would be more accurate to say that we are the dreamers' dream. A multitude of people (like us) is really what is making these companies' valuations go through the roof.
- gd007, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1sorry, typo.
- barnaclebarnes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Here is a link to original source http://netratings.com/news.jsp?section=new_pr
- Bozster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1RichPowers, you nailed it! All these new web sites popping up including Digg as well, that are being skyrocketed with imaginary values. I mean every company that jump to be estimated at values in hundreds of millions of dollars without solid business plans means only one thing. Another huge market crash.
I guess people never learn and greed peaks again. Hold your breath boys, it's interesting to see how will internet survive this one. - karmakanic, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0We are the content-generators. We are the dreamers of dreams.
WE are the ones who will ultimately make the folks at Digg rich. How? By just doing what we do: putting up postings, adding comments, and yes, clicking the ad links occasionally. - elastikos, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Are the digg comments the content or the article that is linked too? Or are they both part of the package, a combo of user generated content/news org generated content?
- BicBall, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2does digg count as user generated content? if so i would have thought it would be on the list

What is Digg?
