- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+25Dude, that's so very un-web2.0-like to list a ton of sites like that without tagclouds.
- jiminoc, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14web 2.0 is a new buzz word that will allow startups to get funding again if they can tag themselves as web 2.0
If your website has gradient colors and uses ajax you're already web 2.0 baby!!! - SilentBobSC, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10"Web 2.0" = Snake Oil
Anyone with any sense should forget doing any business with a company that uses the term "Web 2.0" in their sales pitch. There is still no firm definition of what "Web 2.0" consists of and for the most part it's using technology that we've had for years.
AJAX != Web 2.0
CSS != Web 2.0
If anything is threatening to bring back the .com bubble it's the over-use of this annoying term... - crapiolio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I hope this is the last list.
- Tank71, on 10/12/2007, -6/+14It's a big list, that's for sure.
Some of the sites listed are just crap or useless, though. - Thorpe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Wikipedia has a tonne of information:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_2.0 - canucksin2006, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6If I see another word on that website followed by "2.0" I think my head's going to explode.
- vvvv, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I'm waiting for Web 2.1 myself. It will be exactly like Web 2.0, only the site names won't consist of words that sound like the names of Teletubbies.
- bill.clark, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Ok, since Web 2.0 is such a pain in the ass to type, I have a suggestion to shorten it. Let's just call it gay.
- manatee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5haha...never thought of that. Web 2.0 kind of shocks me - Why does everyone have to make a site that looks almost exactly like every other web 2.0 site? Why do they have to put "beta" by every site? Pastels. Launch dates? Why not just launch the thing? Web 2.0 has crash written all over it. I hope I'm wrong..but my gut feeling tells me its like a bunch of lemmings about to fall off the cliff.
- jiminoc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5dudeeeeeee this list was just posted last week, and the week before and the week before that. geez
- adizzle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3dude, digg has ajax coming out the butt. Ever dugg a story/comment?
- j0rd4n, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6What exactly is Web 2.0? What kind of features can I expect? I keep hearing about this buzz, but I'm not sure exactly what it is.
- SilentBobSC, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3once again AJAX != Web 2.0
- enumerated, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I thought web 2.0 was dyed black hair...
Is it just me or is there very little original content on the 2.0 sites? I don't see the value of "bloggers" just collecting links from other sites, posting them and getting recognition for no work done. I hope the fad passes soon. - rubicante, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Web 2.0 is just a marketing tool. I've never heard another programmer call something "Web 2.0". I wish I could anti-digg these stories.
- KiltedMile, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3If I see one more site that either tells me if my site is Web 2.0 or lists other people's 2.0 sites, I'm going to burn this place down! That's it, I'm registering www.ISMYSITEY3KCOMPLIANT.com and yes there will be tag clouds and freaking bright colors! Hallelujah. Holy snikeys. Where's the Tylenol?
- Angostura, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It's marketing rubbish that usually means that it contains a dash of AJAX (itself more a marketing term than anything else) and perhaps some 'folksonomy tagging' the sooner the term falls into disrepute the better.
- Kebie, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Web 2.1.01 beta was released last week.
- brhad56, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yes. I myself am sick of seeing "Web 2.0"
- Inkling, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Why isn't Digg.com on the list? Can someone create an Ajax gradient header for digg.com so we can get on the list?
- pixelwerx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I was getting ready to bitch about "another ***** list" but this is actually pretty decent. Dugg!
- dkarlson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2A big part of the "2.0" craze is spelling things out phonetically.
Stupd trendr. - Dolemack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I don't care what the list is about, I just want check them out and see if I have been missing out on something
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Designtechnica's best of Web 2.0: http://reviews.designtechnica.com/guide46.html
- ripter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This isn't a list of web 2.0 sites. Its just a list of social type websites. Gmail and Digg are not listed!
No Digg! - compuguy1088, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1hmm...was it coralized by chance or mirrored?
- skabyss, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I personally don't see anything special about web 2.0, I call it web design.
- benthere, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I thought it was the opposite. Tiny, barely legible fonts, often gray on a similarly toned dull background, huge borders wasting space on the sides, your name in huge font at the top, and pretentious writing to fill in the rest.
- BlueBlade, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Dugg just for listing a pr0n section.
- transpot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1lol. Thanks for your advice!
- coding, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1haha, 30daytags actually says patent pending on the top right of their website. Geez the last thing we need these dumbass companies (the bad ones, not all of them) is to patent *****.
- aantix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1He missed RunFatBoy ( http://www.runfatboy.net ) It's an easy to use workout site that aims to give beginners a simple starting point for getting in shape.
For people who don't have a clue on where to start, RFB should be a good solution. - Thorpe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thanks for that other list.
- arturobandini, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3right... This should keep me busy until web 3.0
:) - shovel10, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://www.listible.com/list/complete-list-of-web-2-0-products-and-services
are clear yet wat is 2.0 and what isn't , everyone seems to wannebe an AJAX 2.0 ... - jetta421, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Shweeet. Tons of stuff to digg through. I like the QuickToons site. I love the web.
- aThing, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Since when is Web 2.0 text/html?
- norick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You need a list? Listible is for that. It does it very well, accurately and it's quite beautiful.
Looking for web 2.0 websites list? Here you go:

http://www.listible.com/list/web2-0-beta-programs-you-just-have-to-be-in - smarusich, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Article not found. I guess it's been dugg.
- manatee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Wow...GMAIL is NOT listed...no digg
- shinynew, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1get this on listable someone. there needs to be a basicly rerelease of listable, its a good idea just not quite right yet.
- psor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Great summary about Web 2.0 here :
http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/oreilly/tim/news/2005/09/30/what-is-web-20.html - manatee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1BETA...was digg ever in beta? surely they didn't miss the boat. It's such a catchy thing to add to your logo
- manatee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1map didn't load...will it ever not be beta? lol
- bpapa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1ahhh that's *****, web 2.0 is a very valid term, just overused.
- opnotic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Holly COW! I just found one. www.dimewise.com ... there are more too it looks like. http://frugalbetty.com but it's in beta right now. OMG ... I've wanted this for a long time.
- Tahir, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Why don't all these people making new sites just stop and start helping the current websites and create super great web2.0 sites. I cant see more 5% of these sites actually making a lot of money and being around for a long time. I think too many people are getting caught up in the hype and forgetting about the all important business plan!!! This is just my thought and I'm not knocking any web developers but stop dreaming of being bought one day and use your skills properly towards a proper business.
But if making sites is a hobby then I guess my comments are just irrelevant. - manatee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1BETA...hmm...regarding frugalbetty... do i really want others to know what i'm spending my money on? why would anyone be so willing to share such information without hesitation?
- blizake, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Any ideas for web 2.0 replacement names? The social web? Slick website? Cyberspace 2.0? The Information Super Interstate? Okay that last one went too far...
