- ThsGuyRightHere, on 02/17/2009, -1/+22I can't remember a single time I've experienced any downtime on LinkedIn in the past year. Maybe I'm just lucky.
- inactive, on 02/17/2009, -4/+20I LOVE Twitter and have used it when the Metrolink train crash occurred here in my area to keep people informed about it. Yes it has downtimes, but I will remain loyal to the service as well as the people who use it.
- sten0257, on 02/17/2009, -2/+10LinkedIn needs a re-design. Please!!
- StuWendall, on 02/17/2009, -2/+9LinkedIn will be OK. It's getting to be so popular in the professional world that they'd have to be trying to let it fail entirely. Give them a few months.

At first I thought I was being tricked... - inactive, on 02/17/2009, -0/+5Wow, taking server log files and making news articles out of them. Way to milk it Twitter.
- AmyVernon, on 02/17/2009, -3/+7I've been fortunate not to have experience any Twitter downtime, as I'm a relative newbie. But I've used LinkedIn a long time and have never experienced any downtime there...
- Philbert, on 02/18/2009, -0/+3The only thing that bothers me about LinkedIn is the "I don't know this person" feature. They show me people that I would like too know or might already know, but if that person picks the "I don't know this person" response to my connection request I get penalized. What if I do know that person, but they just don't remember me or something. Why should I get trouble for that? Why would they taunt me with people I'd like to know then potentially penalize me when I try to contact them? It doesn't seem like a very good way to expand your business network.
- dualaudi, on 02/17/2009, -1/+4Should be using the word social networking loosely when mentioned LinkedIn ... but that's my opinion
- JackGrinnan, on 02/17/2009, -1/+4I've noticed more errors (ie not being able to search for someone)/downtime with Facebook compared to all of those sites.
- Philbert, on 02/18/2009, -0/+2That reminds me of when I was in school and the whole school (all two rooms) shared one 56k modem. So if you tried to get online and it was impossibly slow you knew someone else in the room was checking their email. Then I'd go home to my cable hook up and surf all I wanted.
- jamesthewineguy, on 02/19/2009, -0/+2Linkedin is a site I rarely look at anymore--last year I made great contacts but overall the attempt at community is diluted and non-dynamic; I struggle to even to remember to log on. Linkedin is a concept that sounds great but has none of the bells and whistles of Facebook or the simplicity of Twitter. It takes forever to load--the group's focus are not helpful.
- thewoodgnome, on 02/17/2009, -1/+3I think they need to define what kind of downtime it was. Ie (Planned? or Unplanned?). I don't mind planned downtime for maintenance if it aids the smooth running of the site once in a while and 40hours per year? It's less than 1 hour per week. I personally have never had a downtime issue within linked in in the years I have been using it and it's not an essential service so who actually gives a *****?
- ZMerlin, on 02/17/2009, -2/+4Ever tried to update your photo on Twitter? When you try that, 9 times out of 10, it says "Too many tweets"...
Anyone else find that? - gilgamesh23, on 02/17/2009, -1/+3Wow, I have a ton of friends on Tribe and it didn't even make the list of sites worth mentioning.
- jhails, on 02/17/2009, -6/+8Buried cause I'm soooooo sick of Twitter
- bobburn1, on 02/17/2009, -0/+2Linkedin is horrible, a re-design is a must.
- DenverMadMax, on 02/18/2009, -1/+3Twitter is definitely a great way to network and get information. I'm graduating from college this may and I'm using twitter to connect with people in my industry and I've even gotten a few job leads out of. Definitely worth looking into twitter for the simple fact you can network with it.
- erics4, on 02/18/2009, -1/+3dugg for link that looks like "Making a C for Dummies"
- Philbert, on 02/17/2009, -1/+3Yup, my dad was just saying it's about time he signed up.
- Philbert, on 02/18/2009, -0/+2Like Facebook for business professionals. Here's mine:

- SwabTheDeck, on 02/18/2009, -0/+2Digg has comment threads, you know. Try replying instead of hijacking the main thread.
- aljamiat, on 02/18/2009, -1/+3twitter is a great service, you have to take time to build the right people to follow, but the community there is incredible.
- state08, on 02/17/2009, -1/+2I still remember my freshmen year (5 years ago), when facebook would come to a crawl after dinner time.
It sure has come a long way. - illestlyrics, on 02/18/2009, -1/+2Everybody is twittering it up these days. Even the no-name guys on CNN at 11:00pm on the weekends.
- xCIone, on 04/15/2009, -1/+2i dont use Linkedin. Twitter are doing great this year
- directories, on 02/18/2009, -1/+1I would say twitter is definitely improving but apart from one major glitch, linked in is improving as well.
- cozinator, on 02/17/2009, -5/+4Rails doesn't scale?
- diggduggDOOM, on 02/17/2009, -5/+4I thought Twitter already received their venture capital money. I was hoping we'd see some relief from these Twitter stories.
- nullzero, on 02/17/2009, -5/+2dualaudi: what are you gonna call it? Networking networking? :D
- abajaj2280, on 02/18/2009, -5/+2my mom tried using LinkedIn yesterday and the servers were mad slow.
boo servers. - jamesartre, on 02/17/2009, -4/+1I've never really experienced downtime with either Twitter or Linkedin. Perhaps this is because I post at regular intervals, with relative content for my group of friends & followers; as opposed to someone who may just use them to post away about whatever and whenever.
- paloooz, on 02/17/2009, -9/+4What the ***** is LinkedIn?

What is Digg?
