Dear Twitter,
***** off and die.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter. - Cannonballkid, on 03/25/2009, -2/+11Enough with the Twitter. Is it possible to have one day where 100 useless twitter posts don't make the front page?
- LordSkywalker, on 03/25/2009, -1/+9My guess is that it's dead in a year or so. Or at the least, going back to a niche market.
- laserpilot, on 03/25/2009, -0/+8***** THE T.W.I.T.T.E.R.!!!
- offon, on 03/25/2009, -1/+9Google should remove them from search results. We don't need 140 characters results.
- raynar, on 03/25/2009, -1/+8yes. i care about what you did in 144 characters.
No, twitter is for celebrities, and the wiener-spankers that follow them. - ifonly, on 03/25/2009, -0/+7WHO THE ***** CARES?
- krustie, on 03/25/2009, -1/+6Probably the lamest twitter post to hit digg yet.
Like even twitter users care about title tags. It's not like with the dozen of apps around they would actually visit twitter.com anyway. - inactive, on 03/24/2009, -1/+6I think this is already done:
stalker.twitter.com - pod6isblowedup, on 03/25/2009, -1/+6I work on search engine optimization for my company and I don't even care about this.
- inactive, on 03/25/2009, -0/+4Way gayer.
- gailkim, on 03/25/2009, -0/+4Now this is news. Anyone else getting tired of hearing about Twitter everywhere?
- alias747, on 03/25/2009, -1/+5I have never even been to twitter. Tell me, Is it as gay as it sounds?
- netneutrality, on 03/25/2009, -0/+4List of people who care:
- sadisticmind, on 03/25/2009, -1/+5no. to me, twitter is just myspace, with personal "updates" shown over time. instead of an updated webpage.
- roadtripper, on 03/25/2009, -0/+4Google Juice?
http://businesswired.files.wordpress.com/2007/10/g ... - SmackAttack42, on 03/25/2009, -1/+4that's painful alliteration
- whiledo, on 03/25/2009, -0/+3FTA: "Anyone still think Twitter is peaking, or even headed for the deadpool?"
This seems like a bizarre comment. So now it's super easy to find someones twitter even accidentally when you google them. You apply to a company. Someone at company googles your name. Your twitter page comes up, with all your many and mundane updates through the day. Do you think you are now more or less likely to get the job? Assumption: you are not applying for a job at twitter.com.
Alternate scenario. Twitter becomes the next great spam platform. When you register a twitter name for something, that makes it one of the top google hits. I would think this would have the spammers salivating to infest twitter just like they do blogs. Multiple accounts all linking to each other, scraping twitter updates from other pages and reposting as their own (or hell, just taking random one word sentences out of a dictionary - you think that's really going to be any less recognizable as being written by a human than most tweets?).
Neither of these scenarios really sound all that good for twitter not heading toward the deadpool. I'm not claiming it IS heading in that direction, but this change hardly warrants such a statement. - strictnein, on 03/25/2009, -0/+3I used to read TechCrunch, but this is another example of why I don't. Articles on things that matter so very very little.
The first comment there sums it up nicely:
"Holy cow! Is this TwitterCrunch.com?" - WhaneTheWhip, on 03/25/2009, -1/+3Nice touch, now if they can upgrade to a faster server....
- smindsrt, on 03/24/2009, -5/+7I'm guessing the folks at Twitter are going to be making lots of changes this year as they try to make a social network that is profitable, unlike some others.
Personally, I would like to see a http://dating.twitter.com/ where people can look for conversations and meet people in their area that want to date. - hetharocks5, on 03/25/2009, -0/+2140 characters! :-P but seriously, is it a crime that i DO own a Twitter account? because i feel like it is.
feels super gay, by the way...but how else am i going to "follow" Christopher Walken?? - natesnotjewish, on 03/25/2009, -0/+1oh wow twitter changed their title tag wow lets write and article about it how ***** fascinating
- jo42, on 03/27/2009, -0/+1Twitter farts. Twitter fanboiz inhale deeply. Proclaim "Twitter is Great!"
- strictnein, on 03/25/2009, -0/+1Twitter is already a spam/bot platform. Tons of Twitter's current growth is from bots.
- hammadmemon, on 03/26/2009, -0/+1this guy missed this one .. I liked it a lot - http://tinyurl.com/dktvm3
- LiquidIse, on 03/25/2009, -1/+2Dugg for truth

- ChelseaBlacker, on 03/25/2009, -1/+1Any type of geographical search would be a great feature.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uL0k_Ub1oDs - BSweezy, on 03/25/2009, -0/+0dug for trochaic hexameter.

- BowlingStone, on 03/25/2009, -2/+1Ah but alliteration is like the soft singing of spanish sparrows.

- theheiminator, on 03/25/2009, -5/+2Fark Twitter, if I have to Digg a bit deeper into Myspace for a cheezburger, it will be worth all the time that I Reddit. I want to /facebook when I read about del.icio.us twatting. : /
- ChelseaBlacker, on 03/25/2009, -5/+2Has anyone noticed a changing navigation bar in Chrome? Sometimes it has a search box, but then the search box runs away again.
- NexusV2, on 03/25/2009, -12/+2Yes. Yes it is.
