- timhibbard, on 10/12/2007, -1/+37I don't know...should I be worried? You guys seem nice.
- timhibbard, on 10/12/2007, -3/+37yeah...I went and had some mexican for lunch. back at the office for now.
- rastan, on 10/12/2007, -11/+35Look, he's masturbating now.
Bury me, I just couldn't resist. - stlcadet11, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15Tim's dead...
- retral, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Wow.. you're crazy Tim.. Aren't you afraid of insane digg'ers stalking you?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+15Looks like he's currently at a strip club. Hope his parents aren't online right now. ;)
- retral, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12You might... out of a few million users there's bound to be a few deranged ones.
- timhibbard, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12digg effect...sorry all. I'm working on it.
- timhibbard, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9haha...let's cross our fingers :)
- spiderland, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9On that subject, I'm sure Tim could bury you with this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdAIt4MgnHc - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Wow...we need a Where's Tim? tracker for his browser too so we know when he's looking at Digg. :-)
- Lostcosmos, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Hmm, I see Tim has gone shopping. Time to rob his house!
- alterself, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7anyone know HOW he did this? I have a GPS enabled phone (E911 mode only right now) and would love to get this working.
- jbestrom, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Tim,
What kind of phone are you using? - Daniel591992, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6That's not the safest idea ever =P
- crexor, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Looks like we killed Tim's server, and we cant even see if hes there fixing it... :/
- invader, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4that would be easy. just authenticate (username/password) before showing the map... the tricky part is setting up the GPS, which he already did
- dbr_onix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Handy-er/more interesting if/when his phone get's stolen.. Could end up with a slightly surprised theif..
- Ben - hisjap2003, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3you have to use mapquest to find that
- daveddd, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6Can't get there, Digg Effect, or Tim got wise?
- dickeytk, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4DEFINITELY very cool, this could have some very good applications as well
- Dingle, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Where's Tim's bandwith dammit.
- haochi, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Actually GEarthBlog is the officiall Google Earth Blog.
- thebman990, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3If you click on the location pointer, you can send him a message! His phone is prolly getting pwned with messages like z0mG I 1ik3s t3h pr0n!!111one!!11
- timhibbard, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I guess my $10 hosting plan at webhost4life can't handle the digg effect.
- modularsky, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4he's carrying a cell phone with him - that doesn't count as a 'vehicle tracking system'. I applaud your weak effort at pedantry, though.
- timhibbard, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3i have a bunch of details on my blog
http://geekswithblogs.net/thibbard/articles/61565.aspx and http://geekswithblogs.net/thibbard/category/2767.aspx?Show=All - timhibbard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1looks like only people using firefox are getting on the site. it's been working for me. I throttled back some of the automatically update intervals, that should help too. I'm still in meetings for a bit anyways tonight...
- timhibbard, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2we can actually get you setup for not that much cost. We're running a May special for Digg users :)
- timhibbard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i've gotten a few random messages. my fav was "hey fag", from some guy @ arizona.edu
- ninjapirate350, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1...until the battery dies.
- stlcadet11, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4This is pretty sweet, my girlfriend wants one for me though
- WeThePeople, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Tim, Most people don't even like it when people can type in their name to google and get address and maps, let alone their every waking move. I guess I commend your adventurous spirit. When are you going to strap a mobile web cam to your head so everyone can actually see what your doing as they track you.
How long before we get real time satellite images so we can watch traffic and people in real time, now that will be truly bizarre! - yatpay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1gahhhh i want to do this so badly!
- richardiscool, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4haochi, that is definately NOT a Google site.
For a start, it looks like *****.
Secondly, if it was Google, it'd be using Blogger, wouldn't it. - diecastbeatdown, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2they are well beyond that, believe it.
they just don't implement much high-end technology on grunts is the only problem. - Ihova, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If Tim were a female supermodel... this whole thing would be a dumb idea.
But since it is a fellow Digger, its all good.
Way to use tech in a new way. - samfrench, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Yeah...says unlimited bandwidth on the site though.
- apache2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1One word: Military
Imagine the possibilities of bugging your enemies, or keeping track of your troops - timhibbard, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1VERY COOL...i'd love to hear more about it...send me an email
- Zr970, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Do0d, turn it to Sat. image, and u can see his house :-P
- timhibbard, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1e911 is not enough. you need a nextel phone that exposes the gps api
- crsd36, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1or east quite a few...(MIZZOU)
- homerfink, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Link slow...probably farked...errr dug.....
- jefffm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1haha it especially rules that tim is on digg...
this technology could be both very useful and very uhh... easily abused... - 4degrees, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Would make a handy tool when Tim misplaces/looses his fone. after all its really tracking where his fone is...
- thehowdykid, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2If the site goes down, does that mean Tim is lost? Should we call for help? We can give the police his last known coordinates.
- Darthmalt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1richardiscool
I have two words for you "Google Video"
but yeah I agree about the blogger thing - timhibbard, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1nextel i265
