- Shuk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+21Buried for blogspa..... oh wait.
- NJank, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12no, not blogspam... brilliance!
1) generate arbitrary rankings list with personal appeal to particular audience.
2) directly mention: think differently, come discuss...
3) host ads
4) Profit
heck, I should come out with a randomized "top list" generator. People can't stay away from these. I'd be rich, with no further effort. As long as I don't tip my hand... oh wait. - jdkludge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I think you meant "redundant".
- Thorin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5They missed out Tech Crunch, which is essential reading for me.
- hiPpymIck, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5i get my regular geek news.. (for the un-technical) ..from TWiT
..(and Digg of course)

This guy is very inventive. - vypergts, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3No love for Ars Technica either...
- dggeek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3No slashdot?
I realize it may have moved on from blog status into news site, but it should at least get an honorable mention. - SamKellett, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4They are:

- achoi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I read digg for all the latest news,
slashdot for the dialogue
fark for the photoshops
twit for the podcasts - ortucis, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Calling your news site a 'blog' means it's people friendly. That means that every 13 yr old out there can go and post retarded comments after every news post. That means that THAT site is now automatically people friendly. That also means that webmaster don't really give a ***** about the comments and is just waiting to put more ads until he realizes that everyone visiting his site is using ad block plugins (host file?). That means it's a 'website', but in a more 'bloggish' way.
I am confused. - mjesales, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I gotta say - its a decent list - but tech crunch I feel is kind of essential...
- Codename, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Why have blogs when there is Digg, and Diggnation.
- n8r0n, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Remember when these sites were just called websites?
Now everything has to be a blog. - hifiDesign, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I can't wait until he releases his Compact Flash adapter for regular iPods. I have so many that could be brought back to life.
- eradicator, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Suspiciously Gawker-centric. I mean I like Gawker blogs too, but 4 out of the top 6??
- conradovina, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1He. Sorry, I know my comment deserves to be dugg down. I just couldn't resist the urge.
- lamestory, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1wow, no Digg, TechCrunch or Slashdot - the highest traffic sites in the category.
Great list, moron! - JoshA, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2One of the worst and most blatantly biased lists I've ever seen. This is where it pays to have friends in the media (Gawker) and not to make enemies (TechCrunch).
- milk93rd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1So what's dvorak.org/blog going to think of THIS top15 list?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm sorry, but this is by far the nerdiest website ever:
http://kishcom.com
Not so much in terms of content, but in terms of interface.
It's command line! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"i get my regular geek news.. (for the un-technical) ..from TWiT
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/This_Week_in_Tech"
A friend of mine (who also posts occasionally here at Digg) did the redesign/relaunch for the TWiT site. Did a hell of a job, too. *thumbs up* - goettel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1...geeks don't read blogs, even.
- opiv421, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1perez hilton?
- gelopz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I like your blog, but not even top 500
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Blog site?
- strider009, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Where's QJ.net? It's way better than Kotaku.
http://www.qj.net/index.php - bassman777, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Kotaku owns!
- kylekalman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I check out http://www.smorgasbord.net EVERYDAY. They have all the news you want and support digg feeds!
- strider009, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Where's QJ.net?
http://www.qj.net/index.php - 369view, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0have you checked www.freemarketresearch.co.uk - a good blog to search market, industry and executive data
- jdkludge, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1oops again... [reply] ain't working for me...
- jdkludge, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1oops
- n8r0n, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1BURN!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Digg alone already accounts for 1% of all Internet traffic and it isn't on the list? Seriously, and they have the guts to submit it here? These people are just trying to piss us off. They even left out Technorati.
- Retrospekt, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Am I the only one that thinks engadget deserves a much higher spot than #11?
- conradovina, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1According to Google: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=the+best+geek+blog&btnG=Search
the best geek blog would be http://www.MeTheGeek.com/
But, to be honest, I am not sure that is fair. Maybe I just did a good SEO job. :-P - JackQuack, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1Isn't Geek Blog kind of rhetorical?

What is Digg?
