- digg it
- jonbeckett73, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Interesting stuff - it's a pretty clever hook to draw people to a site too - giving a direct (and measurable) return in response to taking part in the site...
- masamunecyrus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11I think it'd be a fantastic idea for digg to do something like this. For instance, digg has three different boxes for Google ads in every story. One is a horizontal banner style at the top, one is a vertical banner style at the right, and then there is one to the right of the story description that is in the shape of a square. Perhaps a user could insert their Google Adsense ID into their profile, and then the small box-shaped ad could be replaced with an ad credited to the user who submitted the story?
I think it would encourage the submitting of links to digg, and, coupled with better duplicate checking and encouraging users to digg down stories that are dupes, could make digg a more effective website.
Kevin, if you're reading this -- I'd consider it. :-D - tweekgeek, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2They're out there.... http://www.kepty.com
- silverfires, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0Adsense is dead.. http://www.thedeathofadsense.com/cgi-bin/go.cgi/24647
- jriley101, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2http://www.techtagg.com is a digg like site that is already doing this since their launch. It gives 100% of the adsense revenue if you submit news stories. If Kevin was to do this then it will be copying. Kevin will find something else to pay back their users.
I thought what techtagg did was a good thing for diggers like us.

- Keloran, on 10/12/2007, -12/+5is it just me, or since the change to the algorithm it seems to be taking less and less diggs to get to the front page now
- jasepower, on 10/12/2007, -7/+3it's just you.
- csonic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Now we all know about link-baiting anti-sandbox tricks shouldn't we stop pandering to them?
top 10's getting pretty old. - vx69, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5They forgot to put on their adsense filled website; "Submit to Digg.com"
- realsurreal2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Buried as spam. Spreading the article over three pages just to get more ads as well.
- waz67, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Most of those are pretty vacuous. I mean on your own personal social bookmark page? Come on, who's going to get the number of hits on such a thing to make it worthwhile?
A content-based site is better, as long as it doesn't promote too much abuse and spam. For example, if you create a business account at http://www.tripdiary.com, you can create travel blogs completely branded as your own, with your own adsense (or whatever ads you want), which could be great for travel or photo freelancers to show off their work, and if they can get traffic, they can make quite a bit of cash.- humblepatience, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i agree, I don't see how you can make enough off this so it's not a waste of your time.
- TwistMyArm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I went looking for other forums like Digital Point the other day, and came across a directory of these sorts of forums. Admittedly, there's not many there, and most of them are skewed towards IT, but I've joined a few from there. My theory is that if I'm going to be helping people then I may as well have a chance of getting a few cents for it.
Anyway, the site was revenuesharingforums.com. Thought that might be of interest to someone (though it seems to be a little 'flaky' at the moment!). - josegutz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1my GOD! The inhumanity of it ALL!!! I am shocked that everyone here is just so condescending... It's not right.
- spstrings1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Here is another site to earn Adsense dollars - http://www.mybidlist.com/
Basically, you create an online auction list to sell all your stuff and you can also have your own adsense id to display ads that will generate revenue even if you don't sell much of your stuff. - drmonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Do we really need a more articles on how to spam?
- PappyD, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Buried as spam.
- ghost18988, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3do any of you guys even click on Adsense ads? I know i dont...
- dose, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3do any of you guys even see Adsense ads? I know i dont...
- silverfires, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What Adsense? I use Adblock filterset G - I don't get ANY ads.
- greenblogger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Puhleez... on Digg, one of the most trafficked sites on the net, I can't get more than 7 diggs on any story I've ever submitted. How would I get a decent click volume from these no-name sites?
I have text links on approximately 186,000 pages. Only about three of them have enough traffic to consistently send traffic. And, those links are not listed as "sponsored". The fact is, there are not that many sites that have enough traffic to generate meaningful revenue for ad-sense. In fact, if you take all of the sites that make "living wage"-like money from ad-sense, I would bet my last dollar that nine out of 10 are driven by either click fraud or domain parking.
Oh... and while I'm at it... there is a free link building E-Course at www.viralinks.com.
:-) - grimfandango, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2the arse-end of the internet. spam.
- mtoigo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1After finally getting my second check from google, I switched to adbright and love it. I didn't realize that they will still display ads even if no one has specifically purchased ads for your website. I got damn tired of google displaying ads that had absolutely no appeal to my users. Adbright blows adsense away by miles.
- DieZine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You can also use the Triond publishing service:
