You're from the USA huh? Immediately, think of the possible litigation!! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+31http://duggmirror.com/tech_news/Top_10_Naked_People_on_Google_Earth/
- SineNomen, on 10/12/2007, -5/+32Worst. Nudity. Evar.
C'mon. you can barely tell they're naked, it may be "fun" to find someone, but once you do, big friggin' deal. - TopherT, on 10/12/2007, -9/+33What do you mean, that people should sue google for posting nude photos of them or that they should be sued for contributing to the delinquency of minors and public indecency.
God this country is stupid. - sdoownek, on 10/12/2007, -6/+28Sued for.....what, exactly?
Sometimes, I tire of digg because of dealing with like you. - BigManOnCampus, on 10/12/2007, -4/+26Google? Sued? ahahahahaha... Silly digger... Google didn't take the pictures.
- rofflcopterr, on 10/12/2007, -5/+24as soon as you can identify them by those pictures...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+22http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=evar
- aschapm, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15i don't think it counts as nudity if you can't even tell the freaking gender.
- jonvdveen, on 10/12/2007, -3/+16Who spends their time looking for these things? Seriously! My aunt (in Holland) may just be one of the pictured people. However, I'm not too keen to find out for sure.
- JWallsID6999, on 10/12/2007, -6/+19Bet Paris Hilton's out there somewhere...
- MrTea, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12Oh yeah, show me those pixels! *fap* *fap* *fap*
- jalenack, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13Great title!
- RickySan65, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11"That doesn't mean the Dutch are going to sue Google about this. We are just going to make a few lame jokes at parties and move on with our lives."
Finally someone who gets it ;) There is no "sue your ass off" culture in the Netherlands, and sunbathing is perfectly normal and legal. It still puzzles me that in the states you can buy guns, violence is normal but the whole nation gets their ***** in knot when there's a spot of nudity.. - SimonDonkers, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9You all seem to be forgetting that these are Dutch people on the photo's. Not American people. The worst that could happen is that somebody could recognize the location and make a joke about seeing a person in the neighborhood of there house which might perhaps have been female which might have been topless at some point in history.
That doesn't mean the Dutch are going to sue Google about this. We are just going to make a few lame jokes at parties and move on with our lives.
Note: I'm Dutch
Note2: I'm not on these photo's - fubes2000, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9I think it'd be entirely futile to sit on GE looking for naked people or other weird phenomena. [but that doesn't mean people don't do it xD]
I'd wager most of the discoveries are people checking out their neighbourhood who stumble onto something amazing and share it with the world.
Also, I think there are 7 pixels in #4 that positively identify the person as your aunt. :D - Aliarse, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9I'm sure the government has MUCH better cameras then any of the company's producing the Google images have.
Meaning, its ok for them to spy on us, but spying on them is a big no-no. - mcduarte2000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I live in Portugal and topless is quite normal around here also... So, what's special about this? At least they could have tried to get pictures from naturist beaches...
- LogicBomB, on 10/12/2007, -1/+71. Nudity is no big deal - realy.
2. Don't want naked pictures of you to show up online? Don't go outside naked. - jamesspelt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Um... it's not Google
- DoorFrame, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Lying on her stomach, as opposed to lying on her back. Why was it confusing?
- fatherspud, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Better yet, where isn't she naked.
- MrSunshine, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6> so who cares
The prude US people do apparently. - crashflow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4i too like 50% of women who walk topless. maybe even more.
- Eliminator, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8I doubt you would be able to see her anorexic ass. . . err front.
- Paulstar, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6I live in Scheveningen (beach of The Hague), and like 50% of the women walk topless on the beach. That's normal and nog big deal. Besides that, most people on those pictures are naked in there own balcony, so who cares.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I would have never thought that it would come to this. A map service that's NSFW. The universe is about to implode.
- jejones, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3<div serious="no">Gee, Google should get the image manipulation software they use on CSI. Then those sunbathers would have something to worry about!</div>
- Gronkk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Why are you picking on us poor Dutch people?
Isn't there a global top 10 or something? or is it that easy to spot the Dutch?
G - TheReport, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5"i guess this could spawn a new age of hi-tech voyeurism"
Yeah if you enjoy trying to make out a pixelated boob then yes. - jeffness, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4ah, the lovely living language that is english. :)
- Dog_Paddle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Wow I got dugg down to hell.
I was just asking wether or not they could get sued for this, I guess I should've worded it differently.
And as some people pointed out, it's as much as Google's fault for providing naked pictures without their permissions, as much as it's Torrentspy's fault for giving us free porn. I must've been pretty tired when I posted that comment :P - 2shae, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Great I am Dutch and I live in The Hague !!!
Nice to know you Americans are spying on us :P - TheBigShovel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2We need to point that hubble thing at earth .
- dontlookdown, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7Guys, I'm pretty sure he's just saying that Google COULD get sued for this because of all the stupid law suits in the US (yes, I'm from the US as well), he's not saying they should (and no i don't think they could but that is merely what he is saying). So I don't think you should be instantly ridiculing him for his post.
But weird lawsuits like that CAN happen. - drilldown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I must admit, there are apparently far more interesting things under skirts than overhead. Until one of them bumps off the Earth whilst one looks up a skirt. It is fun in the meantime, though.
- sxtxixtxcxh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2it's unreasonable to be naked OUTSIDE and expect privacy.
- Dunce, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Trust you guys to find this article...some people have too much spare time!
I feel like sunbathing on my roof... - zerodotcom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2whats your latitude and longitude ?
- Drunkenfool, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4who cares about finding these things. if you really want to 'see' nude sunbathers, just look up some nudist colonies or nude beaches.
- zeno60, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2All the technology, advances in HD, bandwidth, speed, etc. to google at pixelated buttcheeks on earth ... ironic?
- thomashallock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's a scam. There's only nine naked people; the last one is a "do you have a better one?".
- RadiatedAnt, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5time to whip out the magnifying glasses? how about whipping out a real server it already kaiboshed itself
- NegroSuave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Google only has trademars for the locating software... maps of the earth however are usually free.
- blurrie, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2blah
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4it's unreasonable wanting to be naked on your roof without the whole internet viewing?
i guess it's hard to get a date nowadays. - Adriano, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Maybe not.
- drilldown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Awww come-on, I don't believe you. The bandy rooftop dead right center top wasn't it?
Looked like a chimney hanging off of ya! Unless it was a chimney, in which case apologies. You could stoke it a few times just to let people know for sure :) - bass0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1FYI, the Hague happens to be one of the few places on Google Earth with the best resolution (they've used aerial photos), that's all.
- lamestory, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1its TM infringement when you name your lame little fan-boy blog "googleXXXX". dude needs to get a life.
