to install: download file, and save to - C/windows/fonts - kkbeach93, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1How do you install them?
- philovivero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Free fonts. Wonderful. 99% of them are useless because they only define A-Z,a-z. Sometimes 0-9. Seriously. Go click a few of them and look at the characters they define.
Many free fonts, when it comes to the special characters, if they define them at all, just copy from Times or Arial or some other well-known font. So "{}()+=" all look just as boring on one font as any other.
I understand this is a "free thing" and a "proof of concept" and all, but the designers put their names next to the fonts. If I were hiring a font designer for a project, I'd put these people on the blacklist: "Clearly cannot follow through." - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1No google font
- Arkitan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Gotta love dafont, I've been using it for a while now, but +digg for those who havent.

- kkbeach93, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Thanks 703!
- GFXman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Dafont is great, but technically, they aren't all 100% free.
If you plan to use them for a commerical project, be sure to check the font license. - Nowheredan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, is there somewhere that I can download them all without clicking 100 times?
- Diggnified, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0free fonts kick ass
- jeff1943, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0They need a download all button ^^
- ajbarnes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I love the Evanescence font
- xerves, on 10/12/2007, -0/+02202 diggs? I lost some faith in this website if this is the story of the week. I threw this up on my podcast if anyone agrees with me.
--Josh wehatetech - mitsuogs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0A free font is always a good thing. As for usability, unless your going to use these as design elements in a composition (a-la David Carson).. these are so stylized that you really can't do much with them.
But on that note.. with proper manipulation of the typography and a little creativity.. the can be used to make some awesome tee's, posters or skate board graphics.
+digg - JRMillion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Many of those and others are here http://www.fontface.com/top25/
- dbpigeon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I found this once, while using the stumbleupon extension in firefox, but I never thought to put it on digg. But this is a great site

- saysaknow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I want a San Andreas font.:(
- jodamiller, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Champignon? Mmm...mushroom font.
- Gambit-gyouza4, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0SWEET!!! (^o^)y
- capndan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think the idea isn't to make fonts that people can write letters and whatnot with, these fonts are great for making images for websites. I've been downloading fonts from AcidFonts forever to have interesting designs on my webpage, but I would never do something like post a blog with these (thus no need for anyhting really past a-Z and 0-9)
Great link, methinks - saysaknow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I found my San Andreas font. :)

- Venkman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"pdaphreak is right. How useful can the 'PS2' or 'Coca Cola' font be? Its not like you can use it on anything... minus maybe a parody of one of those products."
Totally useful to a graphic designer given the task to come up with an ad for one of those branded company for class.
"TOTAL DUPE
lame"
how is it a dupe when the other story isn't even anywhere near getting dug to the first page? - tmcpheeters, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Here are a couple hundred more fun fonts:
http://www.tyworld.com/download/other/pc-all/ - gambl0r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0pdaphreak is right. How useful can the 'PS2' or 'Coca Cola' font be? Its not like you can use it on anything... minus maybe a parody of one of those products.
