- DigDugDigger, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Why was it removed?
- cds0528, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I thought Digg NEVER directly editorialized things, only allowed users to bury stories and even then the story was still available if you looked for it. I guess that was definitely a unique situation, but to totally remove a story via moderation has got to be a first, hopefully powers like that will continue to be reserved only for posting other people's usernames and passwords
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1all i know is that the original poster was IAMCITIZEN or Real Name Paul
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1If you copy and paste the url, remove the SPACE... this was on the front page but immediately removed.

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1yes. a ton of naive people saved the files. Now, they are in
"Possession of Stolen Property" FEDERAL Property. since it crosses state boundaries. Not Fun. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2 SMOKYM1Y, if you still can... erase that above comment for YOUR protection. this is serious stuff

I re-registered as exiamcitizen
I posted the original story, not to encourage leet hacks, but to show how dumb MySpace users are, and to show what phishing can do. No, schoolfun is not my server, smoothweb.net is my server. Check the WHOIS, I'm reg'd with GoDaddy.
I do not encourage phishing, illegal hacking, or anything of that nature. As you could see in the description of the article I posted, I wrote "Not encouraging anything..."
I understand that it was probably a bad idea to post that story, but it was deleted very soon after. I emailed the Digg staff to try and get my account re-enabled. None of my other previous posts, 7 of which were on the front page, were about hacking of any kind. Most of them were about Linux, or offbeat news.
