- ChaoticHavok, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1ironically digg is my main source of procrastination, for example, i should be doing a 10 page outline right now!
----
So true! I always read all of the digg stories when I should be doing my homework. - mojaam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's been a while since I have seen a popular digg on lifestyle/studyskills or something like that. Neat!
- clouder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1LOL savmac, agreed

Number two tip: Avoid Digg.
I'd know, I'm procrastinating right now."
Exactly what I wanted to say. Digg isn't the best place to help with procrastination. Moving from site-to-site is a very intensive-task. I've lost cups of coffee over it. - briguyd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, I'm definately reading that to procrastinate from doing my homework right now.
- Lionhart, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ok Enough of the god damn "i'll do it later" comments. We've heard it all a million times. And we've heard all this advice a million times too from.

Don't go on Wikipedia. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice title, I saved it for a read tomorrow.
- Florian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0There is nothing wrong with procrastination. Many times some issue that you think you should be dealing with will go away on its own if you just wait a bit.
- danio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i love procrastination
- CrispyMo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0well reading that article will give me an excuse to procrastinate on my english essay

- trooz1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0 I should be writing an english paper right now...
- frontbrain, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I need to do this too, I have read stuff like this before, a lot on stevepavlina.com, I can make it work for a period of time and then I lose it. If I have a clear mission I can do it. I wrote a shareware program in summer of 2004 and released it on my website, but other than bugfixes never really improved it. I thought about actually getting a good design on the site and reworking the program with plugins and such, but that hasn't happened. This is mostly because it doesn't seem all that interesting anymore, well it does sometimes, and I have other ideas of things I could do, but I am not good at finishing ideas.
I think that puts me in the perfectionist/over-planner category on that list.
I need to find people to work on a project with me, so that I have (as the article calls it) an "accountability partner". Hmm I think I'll add that to my TODO list.
HA! I have the most procrastinating comment because it is the longest, lol - Singee15, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0How about don't use digg?
- dlindberg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That's a bunch of fluff.
- Sixcolors, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Like many others, I am reading Digg and posting this when I should be reading and working on my story for my English class this Wednesday. Then there's the Anatomy drawings I haven't really started...
- Greg82G, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Procrastinators unite!!! ... tomorrow...
- buckdog05, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Distracted, thats a funny word. I wonder if anyone ever get's tracted. I'll call the Suicide hotline and ask!
- motionblur, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"My helpful advice:

No greater truth has been spoken. I've wasted soooooo many hours on Wikipedia just reading and reading and reading....trying to assimilate knowledge like a freakin' Borg! - FRAGaLOT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You know, there is a cure for apathy, but no one seemed to care for it.
- saggygrandma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah I think........ buh dont worry
- Akia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"ACT AFTER YOU PLAN"

"BE VISION-DIRECTED"
Vision: I see myself procrastinating
"BITE-SIZED PIECES"
Whoa! One procrastination at a time!
"DECIDE TO SCHEDULE IT"
Later is always good! =D
"GOOD ENOUGH IS GOOD ENOUGH"
Nah, not good enough is good enough too!
"JUST DO IT"
Hey, isn't that Nike's logo?
"PLAN AROUND INTERRUPTIONS"
Hmmm... maybe later.
"REMEMBER TO MAKE IT FUN"
Distractions are fun. =D
"STAYING MOTIVATED"
Yup, I'm motivated to procrastinate even more now! - digital, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i need this
- PickledMember, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Lionhart please procrastinate on your party poo-per posts. What did you expect in the comments from a digg like this? A psychological breakdown of procrastination from diggers?Lighten up dude.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Looked like a bunch of platitudes, no real help. There is lots of better productivity/antiprocrastination help out there, but this is just a lame article like your HR department might send around.
No digg. - 4z4z3l, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0read it later
why do today until you can put off til tomorrow - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Eh, I'll read it later....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
- MacGyver, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That first comment was hilarious savmac, I started laughing pretty hard when I read that. I think the large majority of people that spend time online are procrastinators. Nevertheless, it's a good article.
- jimma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That was helpful but, is there one for overcoming an "online porn" addiction?
- Xertion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I pretty much never procrastinate anymore. I don't use any of those things in the list really. All I do, since I hate being annoyed (more than anything else), is picture someone annoying me if I don't get something done. That's all it takes and I get it done fast and perfectly. Things that used to go days are now done the instant I get them.
Procrastination could be a great thing however. You can use it to great benefit! Say you're overweight and are watching what you eat. Say you really want to get White Castle. Well being able to let procrastination kick in would be a very good thing, right? By the time you get around to going it'll be just to late! It works for me :) - underburn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yeah thats what bookmarks are more.
+ +Bookmark and Digg - magicaltrout, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0hard work pays off later,
procrastination pays off now. - rnscwas123, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm suppose to be doing my english homework right now.
- innternal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Great digg! I'll read it later...
