- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Needs growth, but could be nice once it gets it.
- AdamskiAirsoft, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Great place, could out do Digg if it had it's population.
- nights0223, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7I joined digg when it was basically a text only site, with a small userbase. I didn't think it looked impressive, it was the content that mattered. Look at it now.
- pwallroth, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Doesn't have a pictures section either, wah wah.
- tollidigg, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5The user base is definitely an issue, but it will grow over time. I love how it shows the stories that are interesting to you, and the stories summaries can be improved. But, It lacks some features that digg has, such as commenting on articles. It is good now and will get even better with time.
- zephc, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I think "Thoof" is the sound of a potato cannon firing.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6i just dont like the "iframe" layout.
- benanzo, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Give it time - I like competition. I hope Thoof succeeds.
- boonecafe, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2the never ending homepage
- san1ty, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Just search for "photos". Soon we will allow you to create your own tabs from searches, but for now just bookmark the search in your browser.
- PhillipL, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Looks like a google aquisition waiting to happen.
- san1ty, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1You'll get used to it
- Disconnect, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1It'd be a lot better if it didn't keep going to "Page has expired" every few seconds....
- ngmcs8203, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I don't like the name. When talking to my friends about whether or not they dugg a story or a saw a story on digg it's easy to say. But now I'm going to have to say did you "thoof" that story today? Doesn't quite roll of the tongue.
- popothebright, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Like ALL web startups -- it would be cool if it had a zillion users.
Critical mass is everything. - tazx, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Please. Have you noticed this comment system lately?
- san1ty, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Or an arrow hitting a target
- salvage, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0well yeah, nice!
- pwallroth, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1no
- abdulmueid, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1*THOOF*.. site down.. All Hail to the Digg Effect..
I'm just kidding. Digg me down - endsounds, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0If anyone wants an invite to FeedSlice.com, it does similar things with RSS items. FeedSlice is not 100% open to public beta yet, but if you would like to test out its fully functionality in private beta send an e-mail to diggduggdougg@feedslice.com for special consideration (e.g. you’ll get an invite).
- driverdave, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0i hate that never ending homepage crap. sweet idea, let's break the functionality of the scroll bar!
it annoys me as much as the stupid ajaxified "view reply" link on digg, where i can't open up the view more link in a new window. - mishsquish, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1The design has nothing on digg. Much less intuitive to use.
digg 2 thoof 0 - Sarawanan, on 10/11/2007, -10/+2Doesn't look that impressive at this point. I'd rather stay with Digg which has the pre-existing LARGE userbase.
