- TheTyPod, on 10/17/2009, -34/+1164That's great and all, truly ironic and humorous; I just think "greatest message I have seen" is a bit much.

- oyflaaaayvin, on 10/17/2009, -1/+68Got mine mid-fap today, too.
- dasunst3r, on 10/17/2009, -6/+71I think that the Firefox devs should rethink the extension installation system. It would be great to make it impossible to install an extension unless the user explicitly allows it. I fear that malware writers will start making extensions for Firefox exploiting this add-on system.
- tokiman, on 10/17/2009, -30/+89Microsoft sucks (?)
- Jooze, on 10/17/2009, -1/+54am I the only one who immediately tried to cancel the window to see the picture underneath?
- Fuzzyslippers, on 10/17/2009, -0/+51But would you want a blowjob from a computer?
You might get a virus. - larrimer7, on 10/18/2009, -5/+54Jesus did.
- fquednau, on 10/17/2009, -3/+52keyboard error. press f1 to resume is, for me, still quite elegant. It's also a message. Which this screen isn't. Unless every dialog is a message. Maybe every software has a message...

- TheBigDiz, on 10/17/2009, -1/+43I got the message last night, shrugged and clicked "Restart Firefox."

- drex8, on 10/17/2009, -4/+46It's good to see Mozilla proactively deactivation the sneaky MS extension which was installed without user knowledge and express permission.
Users probably wouldn't have mind if the extension was innocuous. But actually it introduced a bug and probably would have made Firefox unstable.
But I wouldn't get crazy on MS's case, because most of the time MS pushing bugfixes via Windows update, are usually good for the end user. - itsmoirob, on 10/17/2009, -3/+42:-D He must have some sort of "dull-internet" connection or something for this to be the greatest.
- MacBastard, on 10/17/2009, -2/+41I thought the greatest message ever on my computer was "Please come over right now. You like oral, right?"
- dholbert, on 10/17/2009, -3/+40> "make it impossible to install an extension unless the user explicitly allows it"
That's how it already works -- at least for extensions being installed from the web.
But if another program (or the *operating system*) that runs on your system wants to mess with your Firefox profile (i.e. install extensions), there's not much that Firefox can do to prevent that, aside from explicitly blocking known-bad extensions (which is what happened here). - Vade218, on 10/17/2009, -0/+36Dude, I just got this when I started up Firefox today, too. Wtf.

- SmokenJoe, on 10/17/2009, -4/+27Yea you really need to know the whole story. I was very proud of firefox. MS could not fix it after 9 months. I read about in the general news it and Firefox had it fixed the next day.
- Memnochxx, on 10/17/2009, -1/+23Yes I did.
