- Half-Fast, on 03/31/2008, -0/+2The first computer I ever used at home was an Osborne 1 that my Mom brought home from work in 84 or so. I was 17 then. Man have times changed.
- dhughes, on 03/31/2008, -0/+5 My uncle likes to tell a story about when he got his cell phone in the early 1980's, it was one of the brick phones. Rare enough at the time in a large city even more rare in a small Canadian rural town. He said he was in K-Mart when he made a call but felt foolish so he leaned up against the wall in the entrance/porch of the store as if he were talking on a pay phone. As he talked he noticed a older lady standing quite close behind him looking in her purse, she got out some change and he realized she intended to make a call on the pay phone. When my uncle was done he left and the woman looked around in shock since there wasn't any pay phone there.
