- 10goto10, on 10/10/2007, -2/+63It's only a matter of time before we get Richrd, MyChael, iRene or Ludwigg.
- SwissCamel, on 10/10/2007, -2/+48I called my son bangbus.com
- AriaStar, on 10/10/2007, -0/+43With a last name like "Pankow," I'm pretty sure everything is still available.
- danwallace, on 10/10/2007, -1/+38Yeah, I bet everyone was just scrambling to grab bennetpankow.com.
- diggface5000, on 10/10/2007, -7/+42step 1: name your child something technical sounding
step 2: wait for someone to invent something by the same name
step 3: ????
step 4: college fund - cfd339, on 10/10/2007, -1/+22Quote from 2021....."Daddy, what was a 'dot comm', and why did you make me one?"
- vonskippy, on 10/10/2007, -2/+22Thanks for the heads up - I just bought BennettPankowISGAY.com
I expect to make a nice return on my investment right around the time the little dumbass starts highschool. - Diata, on 10/10/2007, -5/+25im buying bennettpankow.org and selling it to his guy
- Narwaffle, on 10/10/2007, -2/+18Last time I checked domain names weren't case sensitive.
- Lennalf, on 10/10/2007, -5/+19No ***** the infant can't run a website. The dad is reserving the domain name ahead of time so nobody else will take it.
I can't believe I just explained that. - WilliamDavis, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11lol. I thought you were joking, but someone really regged it.
- bipolar, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Umm..... why not just register one domain.... Pankow.com
then you can assign tertiary domain names to all their kids (Bennett.Pankow.com) and not have to worry when naming their kids.
Maybe then they could worry more about what the name *means* instead... although I think Bennett is a pretty meaningful name. - bonexaw, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Tip:
Save some money and just register:
pankow.com
and make subdomains - Typhoon2009, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6What about poor .name?
- radioraheem, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I registered my son's domain name when he was almost a week past the due date. Our house was all set up and ready days before, and setting up the site gave me something to do.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3well, speaking for all the kids named Dusty Rhodes, or Starr Light... I feel for you.
- EclipseAgent, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3What is so new about this? Alot of people have their names .com'ed.. I have benkevan.com, and by golly my name is benkevan.com .. nothing major about this, and by FAR from "news".. Just an idiot crying for attention..
- gak001, on 10/10/2007, -3/+6Hmmm, well I've been thinking about naming my kid Goatse...
- IShouldBeWorkin, on 10/10/2007, -7/+10Im not sure if telling that kids father 'go daddy!' would be an amusing pun, or a tragic commentary on how lame this idea really is.
- WilliamDavis, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Neither, really. There are a ton of reasons to have the domain if you know what to do with a website. It also makes a convenient email address. Maybe the kid will want it someday, and it's a cheap gift considering it's $160 to secure it for 20 years. Using it as a naming criteria sounds a little wonky to me, though.
- jlgosse, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4I was thinking the exact same thing.
- squegie, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3http://bennett.pankow.isgay.com/
- sxtxixtxcxh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2i am indeed. :P
- sxtxixtxcxh, on 10/10/2007, -9/+11awesome... i'm the proud father of a 9month old and proud owner of http://maeby.net
- eecue, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5my brother's kids have strangely spelled first names, and i bought them both their own dot com domains years ago. i host them and someday (soon) they'll be stoked to have them.
- MrFisty, on 10/10/2007, -4/+6Here's the thing. Parent names kid after something he thinks is cool. Kid grows up with natural genetic disposition of "anything my parents think is cool is immediately not cool". Kid changes name and tries to repress the story of their parents crazy baby-naming ways.
Either that or they'll just hit the drugs. - ultrafez, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3@Lightspeed2
They were capitalised for effect, idiot. I think we all know capitals mean nothing in domain names. - mlr263, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2They should be assigned a IPV6 address!!
- df12, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1It's highly likely that a domain using just a person's last name will already be registered. I know Mine is and has been for years by someone other than any of my family members. I wouldn't be at all surprised if your's is as well.
- JesusDeluxe, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Arrested Development fan? if so, awsome
- youdlike2know, on 10/10/2007, -4/+5here's another brilliant idea.. you're a moron!
- df12, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1National ID anyone?
- cojerk, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3I'm not seeing why anyone would be motivated to do this.
Is it a matter of having another hole to throw money down or is it all about spoiling your kids? - Metasquares, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Why not just grab yourlast.name and give out subdomains to people in the family? :)
- SuperCujo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Your wife does. You don't. Unless it is a new procedure to make the male feel some pain and disability too?
Go natural, the missus gets back on her feet faster. - CanoeBuilder, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Afternoon Delight
- mrminty, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1If only he hadn't reserved it...
...we could have turned it into the new Goatse. - lordatlas, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1That's "Panko", not "Pankow"
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3wow.. naming your kid after Asian breadcrumbs...
- regtweakerchris, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Great criteria for naming a kid. I'm naming mine Windows Vista Sucks.com. Then I'm going to buy the domain name, get sued by Windows, and get a lot of press. And somehow I'll blame it on Digg.
Don't steal my idea. - ShannaraFan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Choosing the kid's name based on available domain names is a bit much, but I really don't see what's wrong with registering a domain for your kid. I've purchased domain names for both of my kids - if they decide some day to use them, then they're available. If not, it's a small expense.
- Shoogle, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0What about Buttuglia and Chlamydia Champagne?
- leet455, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0billy-bob-joe-ann-sue-hickey.com

- joshf52, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3Maybe Tonight
- Lightspeed2, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2what i meant was theres no difference between iRene.com and irene.com, it would be the same site, owned rofl
- MrPig, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1Why is he getting dugg down? That was funny; I mean ***** ***** must be taken too.
That was a rather interesting book... - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0I never thought of that stupid idea before.
- aroundtown, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1Please name your next child "Gottas Pankow"
thanks. - Onyxblaze, on 10/10/2007, -4/+3Why don't you check instead of being a smartass.
