- pbaehr, on 11/13/2007, -2/+100In the future wars will be fought on Facebook by joining your country's Facebook group.
- smacksaw, on 11/08/2007, -7/+58Why do I want my RL friends and acquaintances to know I'm on Digg? I might as well join the 4chan /b/ and FARK.com groups while I'm at it.
Aww...f*ck it. I'll join. Joined. Man, Major Ed Dames is a Digger! - Harbinger67, on 11/13/2007, -5/+37It's official, Facebook has jumped, had sex with in mid-air, and then bought breakfast for, the shark.
Hell, as soon as I clicked the link to the "fan" page, I was greeted with a Phillip Morris ad. - jspegele, on 11/08/2007, -2/+26The Vampires will totally own that war.
- jspegele, on 11/08/2007, -2/+26Don't worry, those spambots don't care how much of a nerd you are.
- ripstuntz, on 11/11/2007, -9/+28Joined =D (like I need another reason for my e-girlfriends to see how big of a nerd I am....)
- TeMerc, on 11/08/2007, -4/+22Yeah, THAT'S what we need, another way to get gamed by the scumbag spammers on Digg who no doubt have created tons of fake profiles and will be adding everyone as fast as you can say 'spam-spam-spam-spam'.
No thanks.
Facebook just ruined themselves. - jspegele, on 11/08/2007, -1/+17netarded and rot funny
- ToastPop, on 04/17/2009, -4/+19Sorry, but I don't need all my real-life friends seeing how much of a nerd I am :)
- sovereign3, on 11/13/2007, -2/+16Before I add this, can someone tell what a "product" is? I don't want to join this and wind up spamming all my friends with my "product," or finding ads pasted all over my profile.
- presidentjapan, on 11/08/2007, -2/+13I don't know about this, I mean it makes sense for Facebook to go in this direction, obviously. But I feel like this sort of thing is like getting a tattoo of the Zune on your arm. Too much product placement in my personal, and social life.
- kevlarbaboon, on 11/08/2007, -7/+16doined and jugg.
*****. - kurrent, on 11/08/2007, -0/+8/mumbles "I will not digg this just because kevin submitted it."
- rach, on 11/08/2007, -0/+8man, what a sausage fest.
- mikito238, on 11/08/2007, -0/+6Are you kidding me? Why would I want to shill for digg just because I like it? For that matter why would anyone want to be a shill for any company if they are not receiving financial compensation? You really want facebook and partners to profit off of you without getting a cut?
- paperbacklizard, on 11/11/2007, -0/+6I am disturbed by the fact that to become a "fan" you have to add the page to "my products".
- mojaam, on 11/08/2007, -1/+7Initiating the spam pages already I see. I don't see any difference between this and the old useless Groups.
- Buzzby, on 11/08/2007, -1/+6What about Kevin Rose himself?
http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=7171368295 - whistlerpro, on 11/08/2007, -1/+6I joined and then I unjoined, I don't want the remote possibility of Facebook saying that I "joined digg, join today!" all over my friends pages.
- kingkilr, on 11/08/2007, -1/+5I refuse, apps were annoying, this is over the top, I'm removing all info. Jesus, it went from being good because it was simple to, lets see how much ***** we can throw at people.
- seraph582, on 11/08/2007, -0/+4the acne medicine advert? Targeted advertising? =D
- xTRUMANx, on 11/08/2007, -4/+8Ok, this is getting silly. I like digg, but I think I've done them enough favors by clicking on their links and digging stuff. Now I'm supposed to advertise for them? There already is a social aspect in digg, this is just giving digg free advertising on our expense.
- dustin32, on 11/08/2007, -1/+5I have good reason to believe that Chuck Norris will win. And he doesn't even have internet!
- guentherishere, on 11/08/2007, -0/+4Good concept.
Could be good....
Could be bad....
Guess we'll have to wait and see.
Either way I don't care about adding a companies product to my groups on facebook... I could care less... - Nateon, on 11/07/2007, -0/+4A lot of people including myself use it as a way to keep in touch with old friends who live far away. It's a very easy way to see what they're up to and to communicate. Sure some people may use it to make "pretend friends" but it really is a great way to keep in touch.
- Idrive, on 11/11/2007, -1/+5Title should read: "The new Facebook [99% male] Pages - Join The Digg Page Now"
- fuzzmeister, on 11/07/2007, -0/+3Since you have to accept a friend on Facebook before they can, say, write on your wall, it wouldn't be great for spammers. I think most spammers stick to MySpace.
- MikeonTV, on 11/08/2007, -0/+3It's a great new service. I quickly added my shop and sent out an ad to everyone in my area. Now I wait for step three....profit.
- jspegele, on 11/08/2007, -0/+3That's because the Internet gets its information by begging Chuck Norris.
Ah, 2006 was a great year. - AmICoolNow, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2Thank you for the PUNishment.
- sovereign3, on 11/07/2007, -0/+2I agree. I am amazed at how many people I met in Japan during my study abroad semester that are currently on Facebook. I am now able to keep in touch with them and see how they are doing, despite my friends being all over the world. This would be impossible without Facebook.
- LtXenodite, on 11/07/2007, -2/+4So they removed the Weighted Companion Cube for no reason at all? :'(
- suxmonkey, on 11/07/2007, -1/+3ROTFLCOPTER! TY!
- Chris24, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2I like the new Fan Pages on Facebook, except for some reason, if I were to search for "Digg" on the Facebook search, I don't get this profile. It seems like I always need a direct link to these "fan pages". Is this just me? Either way, I'm now a Fan! :)
- goodkidyo, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2I reported the Facebook page.
- ultrafez, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2Is it the ad on the left hand side? I hope so because if it's not, I'm dumb because I didn't see it...
- volksport, on 11/08/2007, -1/+3Diggnation Facebook Fan Site:
Digg: http://digg.com/tech_news/Join_The_Diggnation_Face ...
Direct Link: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=5905643188 - ultrafez, on 11/08/2007, -1/+3Just, no. Digg is not a public advertising site.
- markmayhew, on 11/11/2007, -0/+2The page for FacebookEconomy.com has 24 fans!
http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=8431870131& ... - ultrafez, on 11/07/2007, -0/+2In just under 12 hours, it already has 1,970 fans... that's pretty impressive!
- PathDaemon, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2You form a network of all your real life friends, and Facebook makes it easy to keep track of them, share photos and information, and pass messages.
- chix0r, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1I already have the Digg application on my profile. That's enough advertising how much of a geek chick I am.
- dcsears, on 11/08/2007, -1/+2I refuse to advertise for someone and not be paid. Endorsements are an evil idea.
Fight the good fight – resist being a tool for marketing campaigns - Cr00kie, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1Don't we all?
- tzon, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1For both Nateon and sovereign3---Maybe it's an age thing, but email works for me.
- Okari, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1Pic section and new comments now please.
- MikeonTV, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1So is there no way to see who started this page ...uhh product??
- jessechan, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1Does this make Facebook worth $15b? http://digg.com/business_finance/Facebook_Valuatio ...
- PathDaemon, on 11/10/2007, -1/+2HOLY ***** THAT'S THE WORST WEBSITE ON THE INTERWEB. How did you even FIND Digg?!?
- blackmagician, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1I don't get it. what's the point of this? how is it different than the groups we already have?
