- Snakedal337, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Personally I think digg should be implimenting a "duggmirror" link somewhere..
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Digg is gonna have to implement some kind of "oh ***** here it comes" handle for webmasters
- darkixion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12Why don't you hope I'm a white republican while you're at it?
- VaamYob, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13It's based off of a picture

- bobasaurus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12Hmm, second one is super fine.
- ghm101, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11This is the results of that competition.
The announcement of the winners is a different story.
digg - lowerlogic, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12Yes, she looks really nice. The first one looks really realistic with the hair, and the refraction in the glasses.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9blog of the artist of the french maid #2
http://www.cgarena.com/freestuff/tutorials/photoshop/lukx/index.html - ghm101, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11The second one is the one most like porn.
The others actually try to look like people. - h4ppydotcom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9The second one is based off a picture, here is the artist's explanation of the method used:
http://www.cgarena.com/freestuff/tutorials/photoshop/lukx/index.html - NSMike, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Hmph. No Aki Ross, no Digg.
- yidali, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10very nice, very interesting to see the 4th place for using Greek / Roman influence.
- darkixion, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Are there CG guys somewhere too?
- sakuraz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I DEMAND VIDEOS
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6hand painted... yeah, that's what we in the biz call it when we use the original as a semi transparent overlay to paint in the lines and color match. Fraud!
- acespades, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Enjoy your heart in http://www.graphis.ne.jp/. Her pics are there. ;)
- qwame, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Oh my god, did anybody spot this one:
http://www.3dm3.com/competition/cggirls/Boracay_Venus.jpg - mlkmnz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Not bad. Little freaky, but not bad.
Hehehe. They have CG Boobies on that site. - bitcloud, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5CG is thrown around a little liberally... Two of these are digital paintings, thus are not "computer generated" as the 3D modelled ones are. They are "computer aided" at a stretch, but their correct term is simply "digital painting".
This doesn't seem like any kind of real competition either. Stahlberg has far more striking images that these, though they are some of the most recent. It seems like a forum comp to me.
Beautiful as they are, they shouldn't even be in the same category - hammerattack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I'm sorry, I still think Dr. Aki Ross is the hottest cgirl around.
- acespades, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8I've been modded down for saying that #2 is a real girl. But she is. I personally have a set of her pics. One of her pics has been PS to look like artificial to a certain degree. I wouldn't be surprised if the others were as well.
- 8177, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Or using one of the two mirrors.
- MOJIRA, on 05/17/2008, -1/+5This is FAR from a good list. I've seen at least 30-40 other CG women that were more realistic thatn no4 and were way more attractive (less fantasy like too)...
The Moonkey one is my favorite - she's actually stunningly beautiful - here's the man behind it: reiv.cgsociety.org/
He's probably the best at this IMO, maybe Steven Stalhberg too (he's on cgsociety also fyi). - gagravaar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+43rd one is best imho. There seems to be some thought in the colour scheme and lighting. The others simply look like airbrushed illo's from the 80's.
- echeese, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Actually, it was hand painted in Photoshop, based on a photo. It's not just a filter.
- thestorey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Heh i want a model of myself so i can totaly corrupt these files :D
- tehnico, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Pfft, those boobs are sooo fake.
- ubhe, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5i demand pics or be dugg down!
- skunkman62, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5@codenexus - "and what does CG stand for per say??"
well CG stands for Computer Generated there for vector art is not CG because it is generated on computers. So...ergo...What? - avesik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It's hard to see the point. The "CG" version is almost identical to the photograph.
- Jeebugorn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3that 2nd one looked real to me. even if it is a photoshop image it still looks real.
- bitcloud, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Also, tracing a photograph to the pixel, sampling the colours and re-applying them, *does* take some level of skill, though not a fraction of the skill required to model, texture paint, rig, pose, light and photograph a digital model.
This competition is judged by amateurs. - abouthere, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Dugg to death? Being told to go away and come back later. Shame :-(
- Surefoot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=399499
- HyperX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Ahahahahaha as usual hit by digg and... server is too busy at this time please try again later
- h4ppydotcom, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4They are not vectors... the second one is a photoshopped photograph, the first also looks like it's had a similar treatment. See the artist's explanation of his method (link on my post at the top of the page).
- Mazgazine1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Damn, all of them are CG? #2 looks like they have had clothes photoshopped over them... That stuff is real cool...
- dimplemonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I thought she looked most realistic but that's just me.
http://www.3dm3.com/competition/cggirls/Beauty_Monica.jpg - j00fek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2http://www.duggmirror.com/tech_news/The_most_beautiful_CG_girls/
- Soniti, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Oh hell ***** yes- I thought I was the only one who remembered that.
Anyone else remember those nude pics that were floating around the web- Apparently Square's Studio in Honolulu wanted to know what was going on under that space suit of hers.
It looked real too..!
~Soniti - zetsurin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Anyone remember Weird Science? :)
- sremick, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3NSFW!!!!
- zwilliams, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6Lame. Taking a picture of Japanese Idol Yuka Haneda from Graphis and running it through a Photoshop/Painter filter is not what I call CG artwork.
- CypherXero, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3@blutkind
Apparently, you don't know what vector art is, and you don't seem to think that vector/2d/airbrushed/photoshop counts as CG (aka Computer Generated). Don't comment if you don't know what you're talking about. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3dugg underground within seconds of frontpage.
- themastersb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+22nd was way better than first.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I always thought that elf gal on the cover of the EverQuest box was a hottie. Mentioned it to one of my buddies and he said, "Dude, she's got pointed ears." I was like, "She has ears?" Oh, yeah...
As if women don't have enough image issues to deal with in the media, now they have to compete with completely fictional representations and digitally enhanced images of women who were already in the top 1 or 2 percent of the population in the looks department. I think if I were a woman I might be tempted to think oh screw it and dig in to the Haagen Dazs. No matter what they do we manage to keep raising the bar, even when we have to CG the next level. -
