- keng, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1just hit the "block/report" link.
- marosnax, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Its funny since both of the comments are what he is talking about. I also agree to, I been on digg for a long time and it has gone down hill with all the bitching and moaning the noobs do...
- manoftheisland, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1while i am far from experienced (i got burned this week b/c i accidentally posted a story i found out later wasnt true *mucho embarrased*) i was told my 2 guys it wasnt true found out they were right and said so... other ppl came along and just trashed me after the fact. i didnt really appreciate it, but it isnt that big a deal to me, however i see this happening more and more just over the last month that i have been using digg, so i find this to be quite true.
- ju57ins, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Digg is up for the best blog community. So how bout them apples.
- supersteve, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0digg is a great site and people have their views, how does this effect your everyday life dude?
I love Macs, and if some guy says Macs sucks and windows rules, I don't lose any sleep over it.
Sometimes people do act immature on digg, just don't read their comments. - telecommer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"This community is now infamous for being imature and destructive. It's terrible. People call Digg the AOL version of Slashdot."
Ouch. The hardcores say 'love it or leave it', but maybe some suggestions are to make Digg better, instead of being overpopulated by crusty losers? I would say get rid of comments altogether and stick with diggs up or down. Back to basics.
Judge not lest...
(now here comes the same losers who will call me a pansy, right?) - andyshep, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i would have to agree with the previous comments along with thez's blog entry. digg users are interested in stories, not reading thru flames war and weak comments.
- chris_hale, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Set your comment thresold to 1... since nobody every rates anyone up... you won't see any of the stuff you hate :)
- piper999, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Feedback is what keeps the site going and what makes it interesting.
If you don't like some of the feedback then too bad. You don't have to use the site, its not like you are being forced to read it. - btipling, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Digg. This community is now infamous for being imature and destructive. It's terrible. People call Digg the AOL version of Slashdot.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0use the block feature

Also, i think the quality of discourse would be much improved if the commenting system didn't suck so badly. It's impossible to have anything approaching a real discussion, because nothing is threaded; which forces you to wade through a bunch of other posts to try and see if anybody's replied. This needs to be fixed if digg wants to have any hope of surpassing slashdot.
As for bitching and whining....well, if I think a story is crap, I say so. Don't hate because some people have the balls to speak their minds. - acceptab1euname, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0this is us not caring about your weblog
- AttroPheed, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Get lost ya whiny blog spammer.
- JudgeDredd, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Reported as lame. ***** blog entry. STFU thez and don't post here again. Worst story ever. No digg.
Just kidding. Why people feel they need to spend time to post things like that baffles me. If they don't like a story, they should just ignore it. I do have a peeve about most blog entries though. They usually are five sentences summarizing a linked article, when the article itself should have been posted. It is an annoyance. Blog entries that have an interesting perspective on an article or offer new material I have no problem with.
