Hey, bring a gun. Think ahead!"
XD
Another iPod accessory: A 9mm handgun to ward off thiefs. - Squeegee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yea, like how many times do headphones get pulled off at one time or another? I like the device, but having the screen show and unprotected would be a reason for me not to buy it.
- bleutuna, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Ugh, stinkin Digg!
1) obviously, you didn't look at the design, cause it has a CLICK WHEEL on the side of the headphone.
2) i ALWAYS shuffle without looking. I'm riding my bike, I have it on SHUFFLE ALL, and I don't want to hear the song that comes up, I just click next until I like the song that appears
3) Yeah, these may advertise you have an iPod to theives, but then, so do WHITE earbuds :p - Wogna, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hey, make a playlist. Think ahead!
- Wogna, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Don't worry about thieves.
Hey, bring a gun. Think ahead! - Morph_Ball, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Clever idea, asides from the fact that you are blind to the display unless you remove the headphones.
I digg it, though. - gonzosgirl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0love it love it love it. when i buy my nano, this is the first accessory i'm getting.
- catullus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0that looks stupid. how are you supposed to change the song while you're listening to them? take the nano out every single time? or take the headphones off each time?
- pierre, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That has got to be the DUMBEST thing I have ever seen. Why would you want your iPod on your head. You can't control you iPod and you look like an idiot. Brilliant.
- orangetiki, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice. Although everyone will then be seeing what your listening to. But a nice toy. To bad I got a 3G 15 giger, it'd b sliding off my head thanks to the weight.
- bleutuna, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0>>>You can't control you iPod and you look like an idiot. Brilliant.
- Elfboy26, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wouldn't this be an even better tip off to potential thieves than the signature white headphones, since they can see the device itself. Kind of a neat concept though.
- bleutuna, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I want this for my 5G :D
- sayitaintjonas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I always liked big headphones....as long as I'm not in public.
- elShaggy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think its a great idea. totally hands free. and Earmuffs rock!!
- Infinity7388, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0haha yeah but it's still cool
- catullus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0okay, ModernTenshi, who, from your proclivity to name-calling, i can obviously see is very mature, answer this: how often is someone going to change the track without looking to see what track they're changing it to? the track-forward button? come on. it automatically moves onto the next track once the previous one is done
- Gardenhead, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"this would make more sense for the Shuffle.
You could probably duct tape a shuffle to lightweight headphones."
I think there was a mod for the shuffle where a guy put the shuffle in the headphones. Don't know how he could control it though. - Harlequn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this would make more sense for the Shuffle.
You could probably duct tape a shuffle to lightweight headphones. - kellie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Besides the non-control issues, it sure would make it easier for a would-be iPod theif to relieve you of your shiny nano. And if your headphones accidentally fall off, your iPod goes crashing and crumbling to the ground. Not pretty.
- koffeekan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0not to mention some ass yanking your nano while you are groovin to your tunes. sorry about previous comment, i had JUST read the story not 2 minutes before it was posted. i digg
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm kinda mixed on the idea. While it's cool to have this whole integrated headphone idea, I don't like the idea that people will be able to see your damn iPod. Ummm... target for Podjackers, anyone?
Yeah, maybe some will say you don't use it in public, but what the hell would be the purpose of having cordless headphones with a dock for an iPod Nano built in if it wasn't supposed to be mobile? - ModernTenshi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Catullus -- you moron. Don't you see that the click wheel is exposed on the earphone that the Nano docks into? You can still use the click wheel to go to the next track, pause the current track, and adjust the volume. I can see that it would become a pain if you want to switch artists or albums, but like Wogna said, make a palylist!
I like the idea, but don't think I would buy them, mainly because I want the new iPod and not the nano now. I can't wait to see someone walking around with a pair of these on though! - jk_baller23, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I found this one for the ipod shuffle. http://www.brookstone.com/shop/product.asp?product_code=530428&world_code=2&category_code=20&subcategory_code=405&search_type=subcategory&prodtemp=t1
- gorkon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0They have a pair called mTune (no N) coming for the shuffle and I am getting them when I can. This will be PERFECT for listening at work and around the house. No damn cables!
- k3n85, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wonder if these are marketed as "Jogging Headphones" :D
wait for outdoors and rain, ha - nihilator, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If you had this and walked around NYC, it would be stolen from you in 3.5 seconds.
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ugliest ipod accessory EVER!
- dimplemonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0HA! I see we're learning that the 70s actually had something to contribute! Did anyone ever see the headset that was modded for the shuffle? It actually hides the shuffle inside.
- duddman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Site's down...Digged again.
- Veloxi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice, y'all broke it. Damn digg effect. ;)
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0riiiight so i will put my cellphone up to my other ear and get double the cancer w00t!
- OriginalGamer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0COOL!... as long as your not in public then you just look kinda stupid and have "Please steal my iPod" literally on your head lol
- sonofa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Am I the only one that wears headphones at work? These would be great to not have a cord always getting in the way, plus, who's going to steal my iPod at work?
- Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very nice...
- Anekdoten, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If I cant see the display with ease then its futile utility for me.
- confusias, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0eek, wrong topic, please ignore my previous....damn tabbed browsing
- confusias, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This ship has been on several Discovery Channel shows...
- PeteyPye, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0man... they own :)
- stevey5036, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0dead
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0On the one hand, it's very cool.
But, the big headphones kind of defeat the purpose of the nano's small 'portable' size. And if you are somewhere where you can sit down and enjoy the full stereophonic effect and sound of large headphones like this, then you don't need to weight it down with the nano, and will want access to the screen and controls.
So, novel product, but I don't see it as anything more than a 'that's neat'.
