The most interesting thing is the window that pops up after you’ve submitted. It shows one column of the recently popular stories from the WSJ.com on Digg and another column of upcoming WSJ stories on Digg. - verge, on 11/15/2007, -0/+5Care to read the tea leaves?
http://www.news.com/8301-13577_3-9816582-36.html?p ... - ReinMasamuri, on 11/15/2007, -0/+4Well it's kind of a moot point right now.
Just manually set firefox to have your refer page set to digg.com and you're in without paying. - Nattybumpoe, on 11/15/2007, -2/+5I'm hoping that this is a good thing. Although it's just a matter of time before the 500 journalists that Murdoch deems unprofitable get fired, and the credibility of the WSJ goes downhill, I think that this may allow the lesser viewed articles exposure, thus allowing those journalists to keep their jobs.
- dankCIA, on 11/15/2007, -2/+5Rupert Murdoch could really ***** up digg.
- coldman, on 11/15/2007, -0/+3digg is not a safe haven for people jealous of kevin rose's success. do you still get paid by the hour, short on cash, and thousands of dollars in debt? is this why you're angry? you spend copious amounts of time on digg and feel you're entitled to a large sum of money? i'm sorry, but that's not going to work, especially from someone who can't even take the time to add a profile picture.
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -2/+5This is good news, especially since many Digg members can benefit from having something other than Rawstory to read.
- seks03, on 11/15/2007, -0/+2look what happen to MySpace...their news page is ***** so how about they aquire a already thrieving News source that the people trust. First they'll build a relationship then there will be talks of buying and soon when its to late to do anything about it NewsCorp will take over and there you go, this is how it happens. Just look around and see all of the internet companies being bought up....
- elcaminos, on 11/15/2007, -0/+2I can Digg WSJ stories for FREE now?? What a sucker I was, paying for that ability...
- skunkman62, on 11/15/2007, -0/+2i have no idea what your comment means.
- MajorD, on 11/14/2007, -1/+3With this new revenue stream, does that mean we can finally drop the Flash ads on Digg's front page??? Please?
- ReturnToFreedom, on 11/17/2007, -0/+1Wall street journal integrating with digg?
That's it. I no longer trust digg at all. I'm contemplating if now would be a good time to abandon digg or if I should wait long enough to try and sway people to go along with me. - 0crabby0, on 11/15/2007, -0/+1It would be awesome to see Kevin and Alex interviewing Ben Bernanke for the WSJ/Diggnation episode #542.
Alex in high-pitched voice: "What the ***** is this?"
Drunk Ben Bernanke.: "It's a stock symbol."
Kevin with tie headband: " I guess it's pronounced ***** or something?"
Drunk Ben Bernanke: "Yeah probably - Hey, who's up for a beer bong?"
*Spills beer on couch*
RTA: It's not an exclusive deal... - drodecker, on 12/06/2007, -0/+1Its a wise move for WSJ. Newspapers have been significantly trailing (by 20%) in online sales growth compared to other online publishers.
See article:
http://media-monopoly.blogspot.com/2007/12/newspap ... - metapop, on 11/15/2007, -2/+3this could be a disaster... expect heavy censorship and a mass exodus from digg if news corp were to buy it.

http://media-monopoly.blogspot.com/2007/12/Newspap ... - vanzan, on 11/15/2007, -1/+2Nice move by DIGG and WSJ. It really seems that Robert Murdoch is more on the tech side, he acquired myspace, now playing with digg, we'll see what's ganna happen next
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -2/+3And tell me how many of those sites suffer from the Fox News' propaganda. Oh? None of them.
- skunkman62, on 11/15/2007, -1/+2and kevin rose is laughing all the way to the bank.
- Chickenlip, on 11/15/2007, -0/+1and why aren't you using adblockplus?
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -1/+1i can't wait for the day everyone turns against digg and kevin rose, it'll be spectacular when digg turns against itself.
at the moment everyone loves digg and everything kevin rose does, but i feel this is still the honeymoon period and if the general public decide to destroy digg they can.
how can digg be destroyed? in many ways. because digg relies on trust by its users to submit and digg stuff that people want to read.
however, users could start digging random stuff to the frontpage, and commenting badly against digg in the comments section to screw the site up, yeah can't wait for that. - RollFizzlebeef, on 11/15/2007, -2/+2Murdoch has already said he intends to take the paywall at the WSJ down; it's just a matter of time:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071113/ap_on_hi_te/ne ... - inactive, on 11/15/2007, -2/+2I really do not want to see digg owned by a terrorist organization
- phryday, on 11/16/2007, -0/+0once they blocked foxnewsporn.com they showed their true colors. well, theres fark and reddit, the latter tends to feed digg it seems since their top stories usually are top before digg.
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -0/+0vulnerable*
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -4/+3This kind of rampant stupidity runs deep here at Digg. Bottom line - Digg would go up in arms and revolt if we were no longer allowed to pick what content went on here. That's what makes this place popular. We've done it before, we'd do it again. Now, don't you have a tin foil hat to build to keep the Military Industrial Complex from hacking into your brain and turning you into a monkey?
- lazyink, on 11/15/2007, -9/+8Agreed, if News Corp get their claws into DIGG, i'm gone from there.. love the site .. hate the man !!
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -1/+0gonna*
- Error601, on 11/14/2007, -2/+1I guess they've never actually read anything about finance and economics on digg. Second in worthlessness only to political discussions.
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -4/+2lets wait now for youtube and cnn to join the show...
- invasi0n, on 11/15/2007, -5/+3You make WSJ more popular and Kevin Rose takes the money.
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -3/+1Just another way for Murdoch to spread his propaganda.
If you can spread your disinformation to the public wide enough they will believe it all. Thats why they bought out IGN, MySpace, GameSpy, ... - HolyCrapYo, on 11/15/2007, -6/+3I really do not want to see digg owned by a terrorist organization.
- airj1012, on 11/15/2007, -5/+2DUPE: http://www.digg.com/tech_news/DIGG_View_Wall_Stree ...
It was on the front page yesterday.
BURIED!!! - fiorenza, on 11/15/2007, -6/+2Digg the Digg Blog:
http://digg.com/tech_news/DIGG_View_Wall_Street_Jo ... - khpmli, on 11/15/2007, -8/+1The Wall Street Journal is owned by Dow Jones & Company Inc. which is of course the center of black soulless evil corporations & digg is slowly joining in their ranks...this warms my black, dead, cold heart
