- Kuanyin, on 07/25/2008, -0/+2I tried to leave a comment on your Smithereens blog...but didn't have the time to add profile. What's that? Anyways---added ya as a friend on Twitter, so ya know, add me back! :-) The REPLIES is my biggest gripe, and you made some excellent suggestions to a more friendly, easier to use Twitter.
- smithereensblog, on 07/31/2008, -0/+1lol a Failwhale MUG? Oh wow, that would be killer. Except it probably comes stock with a minuscule hole in the bottom eh?
I am hoping that we can get enough buzz around this post to get the Twitter team's attention. It's starting to pick up on StumbleUpon now too:
http://www.stumbleupon.com/url/smithereensblog.blo ... *fingers crossed* I -really- would like to know where these features are on the road map, wouldn't you?
One good thing though: The newest version of Tweetdeck, the Twitter client (http://tweetdeck.en.softonic.com/%29, automatically lumps all @ messages into your replies, no matter where in the Tweet the @ appeared. One down, nine to go!
Daniel - islander1592, on 07/30/2008, -0/+1Excellent post, I agree wholeheartedly with all points. Let's hope they are implemented in the near future. Twitter is good, but those changes would make it pretty much unbeatable. That, and uptime :) but I'll not go there.
If this post helps, we may owe you a coffee.. maybe in a failwhale mug. - smithereensblog, on 07/25/2008, -0/+1Hi Kuanyin and thanks for the Digg and comment. As for commenting on my blog - you shouldn't have to create a profile, just select from the drop-down menu Name/URL or Anonymous, then you can post right away. Let me know if that's not working for you. Oh, and I've followed you back on Twitter too - look forward to your tweets!
The replies are a big one for me too, it doesn't even make sense that they've designed it the way they did, with only @-at-the-start replies being filed under the Replies tab. I'm glad you thought my suggestions were helpful- are there any you would add? - smithereensblog, on 07/25/2008, -0/+1Hey Diggers: I'm interested to know if other Twitter users agree with my feature wishlist, or whether I missed any doozies. Let me know in the comments of the post (or here).
Cheers,
Daniel
