Well, if they're ***** undiscovered how can they have a Top 100 list? - ironeus, on 08/22/2008, -1/+75This list can quickly deem itself obsolete, useful collection.
- somespecial, on 08/23/2008, -0/+60The top 100 sites that should be popular, but arent
- jlpete9, on 08/22/2008, -2/+37I LOVE glassbooth, although it was definitely more useful when there were like 20 candidates to weed through.
- RockBandit, on 08/22/2008, -0/+26Damn Interesting is easily one of my favorite sites. Whenever I see a new entry from them pop up in Google Reader, it definitely makes my day. Those guys are a class act.
- LtDanP, on 08/23/2008, -0/+24***** I just found out that theres 15 sex offenders who live in my area code and 5 times more than that in the other county
- DaviDTC, on 08/23/2008, -1/+21That would mean the alphabet would have to start at T cause it is alphabetical order.
- roxgod666, on 08/23/2008, -4/+21the criminal search is awesome. i just found out my neighbor is a rapist
- vat0r, on 08/23/2008, -0/+13Screw the alphabet.

- IpHa, on 08/23/2008, -1/+10I see a flaw in the name of the article.

what a simply amazing site - ASSASSYN360, on 08/23/2008, -0/+7http://www.criminalsearches.com/stats/ethnicity.as ...
- StuartGibson, on 06/14/2009, -0/+6I don't know if it's the same in the US, but in the UK a drunken piss at 1am can get you on the sex offenders register. Not speaking from experience, but when sites like this make the hysterical angry mob try to burn people out of town to "protect the children"...
- netfool, on 08/23/2008, -0/+5Dugg. I have been a fan of DI for a long time, I just wish they didn't recycle some of their older content. I know all of their stories by heart now, so it's kind of a bummer when they do that. However, their article are always interesting and very well written. I highly encourage everyone to check their site out, it is definatley top-notch.
- ch1pm0nk, on 08/23/2008, -0/+5thanks. definitely.
- Straightlord, on 08/23/2008, -1/+6Nationmaster is a cool stats site. I discovered that the USA ranks number one in teen pregnancy among the 1st world nations, USA! USA!
http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/peo_tee_bir_rat- ... - tyzent, on 08/23/2008, -0/+5I just spent an hour on the site, and I'm not planning on leaving my apartment for a long, long time

- hammburglar, on 08/23/2008, -0/+3yeah i just spent about 30 minutes on that site. my area code is the same way. but the next city over........at least 3 per street. glad im not between the ages of 13-16.
- MidnightRIder77, on 08/23/2008, -0/+3I wish there was a way to turn off traffic offenses. Every search I do has hundreds of them.
- DaviDTC, on 08/23/2008, -0/+3Looking at their something tracker there are some things in there that look to be worth some value along with some really crappy items. http://www.somethingstore.com/somethingtracker.htm ...
Good luck! - mrloco, on 08/23/2008, -1/+4dont forget about Cuil
/sarcasm - Enigmocracy, on 08/23/2008, -0/+3Click the text link above the picture...
- betheturtle, on 08/24/2008, -0/+2Neighbor?
- alittleroy101, on 08/23/2008, -2/+4criminalsearches.com didn't have me listed.
- nlight, on 08/23/2008, -0/+2http://redtube.com
- VitaminD, on 08/23/2008, -5/+7Great searchme.com is an amazing search engine. Go the cover flow emulation
- MalDON, on 08/23/2008, -2/+4Most of those sites are fairly popular. I was expecting new sites, not sites some editor thinks are hidden.
- inactive, on 08/22/2008, -2/+4criminalsearches is such an awesome site. It needs to be more accurate but it's still pretty nifty...
- aaronoog, on 08/23/2008, -0/+2They didn't have a review for Showgirls starring Elizibeth Berkley. My conclusions?
1. This site doesn't cover every movie (most probably because of it's newness).
2. Showgirls is great for the whole family. - Charklii, on 08/23/2008, -0/+2Not so undiscovered before, either.
- grandinferno, on 08/23/2008, -0/+2Pretentious. Maimed and eviscerated.
- z0mb13, on 08/23/2008, -2/+4I went to criminalsearches.com, clicked on sex offender search, typed in my zip.... and the first person I see was in my grade in high school ROFL. What an ass hat.
- tastynuggets, on 08/23/2008, -4/+6Well, pcmag isn't going to list porn sites, can we get a list going here?
My recently discovered fave is http://pornzala.com - lowtolerance, on 08/23/2008, -0/+2Damn Interesting was well...damn interesting the first time I stumbled on it, but after I read all the articles, they were just too slow to come out with new ones for my taste.
- wilfordsy, on 08/23/2008, -0/+2Yes. Very typical of you Dilbert.
- Rocketbird, on 08/23/2008, -1/+3Mine didn't..
- kylethompson1, on 08/23/2008, -1/+3Why did you link to the middle of the list, and not the first page? I almost missed half the list.
- cheechman85, on 08/23/2008, -0/+2Anybody else take the quiz on glass booth and come up Nader as most similar?
- cheechman85, on 08/23/2008, -1/+3Just came from there actually... fap fap fap
- fearsofgun, on 08/23/2008, -0/+2same here, except about 5 houses down
- briantw, on 08/24/2008, -0/+1Thanks!
- M724, on 08/24/2008, -0/+1I spent some time in the Common Sense Media site, specifically in the games section, where I searched for some titles and read through what they have to say about them. Prepare to be amused:
Super Smash Bros. Brawl: "Parents need to know this title -- at its core -- is a fighting game, so those opposed to violence of any kind should not buy this for their kids." Yeah, keep them sheltered. I'm sure it'll pay off later in their lives.
Final Fantasy X: "Standard to mild fare for role-playing games--punching, kicking, etc. The surprise plot transformations can be somewhat wrenching." Two points: 1-It's plot twists, not "plot transformations." 2-It's a role playing game, so "plot twists" are expected from the get-go.
Wii Sports: "Players are represented by their Miis (cartoon-like customized avatars), and any other Miis stored on the Wii will randomly appear as teammates and spectators." This game was OK'd for children. The reviewer obviously didn't consider that children can make "Buttface" Miis.
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock: "The game doesn't shy away from the seedier side of the rock 'n' roll lifestyle, including sexual innuendo and alcohol references in the song lyrics. One of the game's venues is a bar, and several of the characters are in sexy bar garb -- some men go shirtless and women have exposed midriffs." Ah, rock. What many still call "devil music." How ye corrupt our youth even in their game time instead of having them kill hordes of enemies with a big gun.
Rock Band: "You can learn what goes into a song composition." No. You only learn how to play make-believe instruments really fast.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess: "Some of the action takes place in a bar. Bottles appear in the background." Which is why it should be banned!
Super Mario Galaxy: "Mario mostly stomps on enemies or stuns them with a spin attack." Spin attacks! BURN THE GAME OF SPINNING!
Haze: "Parents need to know Haze is a very violent first-person shooter. Players kill enemies using guns, grenades, and other weaponry." Yes, that's what First Person Shooters are.
Crysis: "This is a military game, so the player has to kill people, which is pretty much the most antisocial behavior imaginable." Are you saying soldiers cannot socialize?
Supreme Commander: "Families can talk about this futuristic, over-the-top premise of war. Do you think future war might be like this? What does playing this game teach you about the use of violence to solve problems?" Only ask those questions if you want to be terrified of what goes through your kid's head if he's playing this game.
Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars: "Does the large amount of video (90+ minutes) make the game more fun, or just slow down the action?" No, it just moves the story forward, dumbass!
Ninja Gaiden Sigma: "With some Internet research regarding Samurai and Ninjas, this fanciful game plot could spark an interest into real Japanese history." So can anime and hentai.
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune: "There is some shooting and some blood. Players can also aim at specific body parts, such as an arm, leg or head." Oh, really? As opposed to what, exactly?
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn: "Iffy words are infrequent and always mild -- stuff you can see on prime time TV." And that makes it safe. Go back to watching the Dr. Phil marathon, idiots! Also...iffy?!
Too Human: "Aside from female dancers in a nightclub, woman are portrayed to be as important and powerful as men." Alas! A game that feminists can safely get for their (male) kids!
Halo 3: "As with its predecessors, this game lets gamers shoot aliens from a first-person perspective with the gun seen on the screen at all times (unless you're riding in a vehicle or manning a turret). Blood that splatters can be alien or human. Weapons include shotguns, machine guns, bombs, grenades, turrets (for mowing down hordes of enemies in a flash), and special alien weaponry, including laser blasters." Laser blasters? OMG! You can see the gun! VIOLENT VIOLENCE VIOLENTASTIC! No, I'm not buying my kid a game with a laser blaster included. That's just wrong! /sarcasm
Gears of War: "Since the enemies are Extra Terrestrials -- essentially already de-humanized for you -- does that make it easier to get into the violence of the game? What if the characters were human instead? Would it make a difference to you?" No.
Resistance: Fall of Man: "You're the good guy, but you use very violent means to fight the aliens." They're not exactly willing to negotiate, are they? Also, it's unconfirmed whether they are aliens or something else. Until it is, do not make baseless speculation and just call them Chimera like the game does.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare: "Families can talk about war. What leads to war? Is war ever justified? Why or why not? How does the media typically portray war? How realistic is this particular game in its presentation of war?" And this is a better activity for your kids than playing games how...?
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time: "Some blood, usually 1-2 main fighting scenes per level. Zombies, fighting scenes, scary deaths." I don't remember any zombies.
Assassin's Creed: "Parents need to know that this game is very much about violence as you play as a hired hitman, of sorts, to take down key targets with cunning and strategy." I think the title pretty much makes it obvious.
Heavenly Sword: "the cut scenes depict some genuinely unsettling situations, like when a screaming Kai is pursued by a villain intent on stabbing her to death." You should have put on a spoiler alert!
Devil May Cry: "In order to advance the story, you must kill creatures, but you won't see any gory dismemberment, as has been seen in titles like Manhunt 2." Wait, waitwaitwait. You're comparing DMC with Manhunt 2? I call *****!
Grand Theft Auto 4: "This is a game that earned the ESRB rating of "Strong Sexual Content." While the game doesn't show women completely nude, it gets close, with women appearing in pasties, g-strings, and the like. You can get a lap dance at a gentlemen's club, where the woman is shown with her legs over her head spread eagle. You can gain "health points" by having implied sex with a prostitute in your car, where you hear what is happening and watch rhythmic actions of the couple from a distance, but don't actually see the act. Two scantily clad women can "entertain" you, and before they climb onto your lap, they gyrate provocatively and mimic the motions of having intercourse with each other. You can also have sex with your girlfriend at home, where you can hear but not see the specific act." No, it's not for Junior, but now Daddy's getting it himself. - emt1451, on 08/24/2008, -0/+1Also check out crimereports.com
Similar but it displays crime in your area (if your city participates) instead of where criminals actually live. -
