- unloud, on 10/11/2007, -18/+175"Where are we launching youtube too?"
I don't know, but I'm wondering where we are launching it TO.
/grammar *****> - kevisazombie, on 10/11/2007, -7/+147These guys have huge ***** balls.
- HyperJack, on 10/11/2007, -3/+124Okay. I think that, if this is true, then YouTube are going to have some VERY VERY serious competition.
I would choose to watch full length feature movies over amature singing videos any day of the week. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -6/+118How many streaming video sites feature uncensored, pirated video content?
- onionizer, on 10/11/2007, -1/+70if they're going to do a youtube clone with illegal stuff in video streaming (TV episodes, Full movies etc) and setting fire to all the million copyright complainings they'll receive, that is going to be popular, FAR more popular then youtube itself.
- Crispuk, on 10/11/2007, -7/+67Go Pirate Bay!
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -3/+44"p0rn please"
yeah, because it's so hard to find everywhere else. - morbo47, on 10/11/2007, -2/+34"The Pirate Bay to Launch YouTube"
You mean ArrTube? - insinuate, on 10/11/2007, -1/+32woohoo. Viacom is gonna be pissed, and glad to hear so.
- KineticShampoo, on 10/11/2007, -0/+31Ok I'm all for it.
I just hope that all the idiots who post the "post this to 7 people or your mom will marry a leprechaun"-***** get banned ON THE SPOT.
Seriously, it was funny the first 2 times; after that I wanted to choke the ***** and watch the light escape their eyes. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -3/+34"do what you want cos a pirate is free"
- AcePup, on 10/11/2007, -5/+35Finally someone who has the balls to not only stand up against the MPAA and RIAA and do their own thing and not worry about the consequences.
- tizz66, on 10/11/2007, -0/+27Um, thevideobay maybe? I dunno, I just read the ***** article.
- Babel33, on 10/11/2007, -1/+27If this is from TBP, I highly doubt it will be just "another streaming video site."
- ilovethissite, on 10/11/2007, -3/+27I agree.
The Pirate Bay is about to become one rich site,
Advertisers take note. - thenativeraver, on 10/11/2007, -0/+24Google has a cache:
http://72.14.253.104/search?q=cache:0YA4Gsd9Ei4J:thevideobay.org/recent+inurl:thevideobay.org&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=2&gl=us - JuliusErving, on 10/11/2007, -2/+25What a horribly inaccurate title. Do you really want to get to the front page that badly?
- taintedzodiac, on 10/11/2007, -5/+28Buried for inaccurate title. Interesting story though.
- demigod, on 10/11/2007, -3/+26Actually, no. Youtube was supposed to be for personal video's like video blogs and replies to video blogs and *****. What it is now is filled with commercial video's.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -7/+29Try PornoTube.com
Actually, don't. The only people who use it are overweight men who upload videos of their own ***** because they want the world to watch them jerk off. - iluvatar, on 10/11/2007, -1/+21this can be used to preview movie quality before you torrent it. It could actually be quite useful.
- ElbridgeGerry, on 10/11/2007, -0/+20"You mean ArrTube?"
They NEED to call it that. - Salgat, on 10/11/2007, -4/+23Don't dis youtube man, they have great content(and try to defend their users when possible), they only delete copyrighted material because if they don't they have to pay billions from lawsuits.
- PhilH, on 10/11/2007, -0/+17You mean Y'arrTube.
- M4v3R, on 10/11/2007, -0/+17From the comments on TPB blog: http://www.thevideobay.org . Probably this will be an address for the site.
- unloud, on 10/11/2007, -1/+15I hope the quality is like ABC.com quality rather than youtube quality.
- MercedRocks, on 10/11/2007, -5/+18interview with Brokep about it> http://digg.com/tech_news/The_Pirate_Bay_to_set_up_video_streaming_site
- KibibyteBrain, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12How will they get advertisers though? Surely advertisers could hold some liability for a youtube that wouldn't play nice with the law, even if the danger advertisers will face isn't exactly legal itself.(last time I checked, Gonzales was still around...) The pirate bay works right now because running a BT tracker isn't too expensive, but a streaming video site is about as expensive as it gets.
- loconet, on 10/11/2007, -2/+14These guys have balls the size of Sweden
- xroman, on 10/11/2007, -3/+14blah, the title is so confusing... cool nonetheless.
- cloudedice, on 10/11/2007, -7/+17"I don't know, but I'm wondering where we are launching it TO.
/grammar *****>"
If you were really a grammar *****, you would have corrected his use of a preposition at the end of the sentence. - bsdfree, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11How are they going to get the bandwidth!?! Even YouTube, with big corporations advertising loses money. How is TPB, which no major company wants to touch with a 10 foot pole, going to get the dough?
- Synthetik, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11"p0rn please"
Umm, it's pronounced pr0n. Geez - Jammie, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8I found a working video. It's Serbia's entry in the Eurovision song contest.
http://www.thevideobay.org/53 - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9You DO remember youtube was bought out by the Google corporation (tm), right?
How DARE those goddamn corporations try to defend themselves against lawsuits and violations of their terms of service! - sirkism, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10if they host this in the same place as the torrents, does that mean they can stream the videso without any problems from the law?
- NikoKun, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10youporn.com
- kevisazombie, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10Try spankwire.com really good uploads on there from well respected sites and classic videos. has a digg kinda voting format as well.
- SpinMonkey, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Depends how good the quality is.. if its as ***** as youtube... Id rather just download the movies/tv programs via torrent anyway... can watch them on the tv then...
good on them though.. - scabbers, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7"we're going to do a video streaming site. It's true. It's in the works being done right now and as usual we put a bit of Pirate Bay mentality behind every project we do"
Posted Today 12:55 by Brookers - MercedRocks, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8INTERVIEW WITH BROKEP:
The site will be modeled after YouTube in that content will be user generated. What will set it apart however, is that there will be "no censorship," that The Pirate Bay "will not be the moral police" and determine what content stays or goes as is oftentimes the case with YouTube. He then hinted that that the community will instead be the censors, that "the community will have to do that."
http://digg.com/tech_news/The_Pirate_Bay_to_set_up_video_streaming_site - Myonosken, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Since when is providing a world wide service fighting for US rights?
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7I love TPB and everything they stand for.
What's so funny is how complacent and apathetic everyone inside the US is that people FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY have to fight for your rights and spark controversy.
USA has fail. - TimDigg, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7This is such a great idea! This way I can watch videos I've legally purchased when I forgot the disk at a friend's house. Or when I'm traveling and don't want to worry about having my media stolen.
/sarcasm - AkshayGenius, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7I smell full lenght DVD quality movies, music videos & hell lot of tv shows
Pirates rock!!! YARR!!!!! - pictureDIGGER, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5The pirate bay has a following that likes videos, MySpace has idiots who don't like real news.
- YagLana, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Wasn't aware that DailyMotion had a gender. But yeah, they do lose a lot of the popular stuff fairly quickly. Sucks.

Ok.. well just to save you time, all those clips suck. however they might be a clue as to the quality of the clips we'll be seeing in the future. - NatieB, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4The whole point of torrents is that the data does not exist on a centralized server. TPB's servers do not host any videos. Just torrents.
