- Deveak, on 04/16/2008, -4/+129I hope they win, I love it when artists upload their work on TPB. That and seeing it thrown in IFPI's face would be satisfying.
- Daggity, on 04/16/2008, -8/+87***** THE RIAA/IFPI/MPAA!

- jakash, on 04/16/2008, -6/+29***** the IFPI! ***** Tele2 for getting bossed around like that in the first place!
- say592, on 04/16/2008, -1/+20No. This isnt about pirates, or free music.
Its about encouraging artists to make their work available for free. There is a big difference between that and piracy.
TPB is trying to prove a point more than anything. They are trying to show that TPB has a legitimate usage, and that they are supportive of artists. I think both of those points are extremely valid, and there is no reason why people should be prevented from getting music that is legally uploaded by the artist or record company to TPB. - inactive, on 04/16/2008, -1/+17Yarr! come aboard matey we have plenty of wenches and ale!
- tj111, on 04/16/2008, -0/+14"The grant will give out money to Danish aspiring artists for making music and releasing it for free. And all will be sponsored by IFPI since they tried to ***** those people over. Poetic justice.” - Brokep. Long live TPB!
- CAPITALLETTERS, on 04/16/2008, -0/+14The 2 most common rick roll links, fail.
- KnifeOrSpoon, on 04/16/2008, -0/+12So does RIAA suing people to make an example of them
- Aensland, on 04/16/2008, -0/+11Somehow I doubt that's a minus point for some of them...
- Viral, on 04/16/2008, -0/+11The pelvic thrusting is intense...
- SLockhart, on 04/16/2008, -2/+11Pirates are also ugly and they smell bad.
- killbert24, on 04/16/2008, -3/+12I just think its awesome that they will be funding independent artists who share their music for free. Way to go Pirate Bay!
- say592, on 04/16/2008, -6/+15TPB FTW!
Way to show them that you are legit!
Best of luck! - karan1003, on 04/16/2008, -2/+11We'll see how this turns out. In any case, TPB's actions have been more in line with what they claim to believe more often than any other organization I've seen.
- inactive, on 04/16/2008, -1/+10And what do you think the IFPI business model revolves around?
- buddamus, on 04/16/2008, -0/+7It would be good if the piratebay had an unsigned artist button to search all the new bands
- inactive, on 04/16/2008, -1/+8***** off
- DontThinkSo, on 04/16/2008, -0/+7You are a pirate!
- LUElinks, on 04/16/2008, -3/+10And... the site did come back up within a few days?
What? - karan1003, on 04/16/2008, -0/+7They probably had to comply or they would have gotten arrested/shut down/heavily penalized for disregarding a court order
- bbliss17, on 04/16/2008, -3/+9That is freaking awesome!! Go Piratebay...kick some corporate anus!
I hope they win! - Krpano, on 04/16/2008, -2/+8This guys are making history on this matter.
Way to go TPB !!!
I wonder, who is diggin down the comments ?
Must be some idiots from IFPI.
***** You. - ninja0, on 04/16/2008, -2/+8I've seen interviews with these guys, they seem like the honest, true to their word type. I don't believe ALL of it will go toward artists, but I do believe some of it will.. if not most of it
- Aensland, on 04/16/2008, -0/+6They make profit... off of free torrents that anyone can download? Riiiight.
- KnifeOrSpoon, on 04/16/2008, -2/+7How? They claim to not know the whereabouts of their servers which are hosting the sites. (Heard a rumor their site is now routed through Tor network to hide the exact origin)
- mCanada, on 04/16/2008, -2/+7 the IFPI and their kind are notorious thugs that have used such tactics like DOS attacks on the TPB to stop the free flow of legitimate information. Google "mediasentry" and see what they've done. Some 18 year old with the same attitude would be in jail. But the IFPI and RIAA have congressmen on the take. OH were you talking about TPB? ***** no, those guys are far too smart.
- Chordinator, on 04/16/2008, -2/+6Win.
- marnaq, on 04/16/2008, -0/+4Hmm. Sexual undertones.
- mark076h, on 04/16/2008, -6/+10LONG LIVE THE PIRATE BAY ARRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- theaceoffire, on 04/16/2008, -1/+5I know several people who voluntarily uploaded music they created to PirateBay to share it with friends/family, random people.
- mllawso, on 04/16/2008, -0/+2You first.
- 9bpm9, on 04/16/2008, -8/+10Are these guys gonna go to jail yet?
- mllawso, on 04/16/2008, -0/+2Hey, you're welcome to your opinion; even if it is wrong.
- Tenoq, on 04/17/2008, -0/+1TPB doesn't host any illegal content, moron. :p
- adriaaan, on 10/12/2008, -0/+1If they win this then their pretty much guaranteed never to have to worry about this kinda stuff ever again. They will be untouchable.
BEST OF LUCK TPB! - AvangionQ, on 04/17/2008, -0/+1"The court case was initiated by the IFPI - the infamous anti-piracy organization that represents the recording industry. The IFPI later tried to use the "landmark decision" to force Swedish ISPs to do the same, but failed. In fact, it seems that filtering traffic to The Pirate Bay is actually illegal according to European law." ... I hope the TPB wins this one as another landmark victory for internet neutrality ... hopefully, it will force organizations like the IFPI, MPAA & RIAA to finally discard their antiquated business plans and adopt some sort of P2P plan, such a DRM free unlimited download access plan to their entire archive libraries for a monthly subscription plan with some kind of credit rebuy system to encourage uploading reciprocity, where they can still remain in business, but in harmony with the P2P users ...

Does that look up to you? - WoollyMittens, on 04/16/2008, -1/+2*****. Both are private companies. The ISP caved in like a house of cards at the slightest hint of trouble.
- thesonofdarwin, on 04/16/2008, -1/+2uuiU should have switched the two links. So sorry, please play again.
- lamiaconfitor, on 04/16/2008, -0/+1Its a circle F*ck, we all have our fingers in every pot.
- plytheman, on 04/16/2008, -0/+1Someone needs to shoop the Demonoid demon riding the Pirate Bay ship...
- cliffski, on 04/16/2008, -1/+2If you know a drug dealer who once bought a pint of beer, is he legit too? we all know 99.9% of TPBs content is stolen. don't delude yourself.
- AxsToro, on 04/16/2008, -2/+3LONG LIVE TPB! ***** THE RIAA! ***** THE IFPI! ***** MPAA!
- fkr3, on 04/16/2008, -2/+3Making as much money as they can from the people who voluntarily choose to be represented by record labels, in much the same way companies try and make as much money as they can from the people who work for htem. Whether you're an artist or not, if you work for someone you get less then the people you're working for.
- cliffski, on 04/16/2008, -1/+2agreed 100%. 99.9% of creative people want the retarded thieves running the pirate bay to be where they belong -> in a cell or six feet under. the fact that half a dozen stoned hippies think that they can pay their rent by giving away music for free does not invalidate the sensible attitude of the other 99.9%.
