I think that's all the evidence you need to bury this as innaccurate. - dave1021, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5The "new" media establishment looks like a bunch of the same, tired old whores from the "old" media establishment with a reference to "e-something" tacked on to their business cards.
ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... - littlebylittle, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4[From article comments]
"Obviously Digg should not be on there. It's just a link dump filled with apple/linux/anti-ms fanboy comments, posts. It's bias to the extreme, it's the Fox News on the internet."
Link Dump? Fox News on the Internet? Whoever wrote this piece of ***** copied and pasted it from a few different sources that were at least a year old. This thing is clueless. Glad another commenter recognized that early on.
"Yes, the list seems like it's a year old." - Razster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Have to love The Ze Frank.
Put my $25 duck in :) - BlogCruiser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This list might have more validity but remember this one was meant as a joke:
http://www.blogebrity.com/thelist/ - buellerdiggs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2where is DC on that list
- porkstacker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The really lame and assinine thing to note is that most of these self-proclaimed online "journalists" (read: bloggers) do not have any sort of university degrees in journalism. And as one would expect, they rarely bother to proofread before submitting their mental masturbation.
- polyGone, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2The only way Rupert Murdoch is "shaping" online news is by flooding us with his own conservative agenda.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Honestly I would like to think I am filling a niche with my personal blog.

Journalism in the form of free and open public education. Though I'm not writing to help people pass certifications, but I want to help people understand how the things around them work.
At least I think I have/had a good idea.
Either way it makes me feel good at the end of the day if I can reach one person. If they reply to me and say "Ahhhh I get it, that's so cool!", then I feel like I have accomplished something productive. Thats always a great thing! - Swift2, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Very Eurocentric list. Way too much right wing. Any list that includes Jeff Jarvis obviously needs its head examined.
- nopal, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Adrian Holovaty, of the Washington Post, co-creator of the Django framework.

Ze Frank http://www.zefrank.com/theshow/
His news commentary rivals The Daily Shows for acerbic, humorous analysis, and whilst he wouldn't call himself a traditional journalist, he does report the news in a "New Media" way that is original and creative.
I am sure he has a lot of interested/influential people watching his style evolve. - rajkota, on 03/01/2008, -0/+0Pressmart- ePublishing/ Digital Publishing at its Best! Its patent pending New Media Delivery Platform delivers newspapers, magazines, journals and catalogs over the new media distribution channels.
www.pressmart.net - polyGone, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1There's that "liberal bias", again, digging me down.
- Jack9, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1inaccurate. WAY INACCURATE.
- ghm101, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3It is top heavy with BBC and Guardian.co.uk guys. More than enough to address your right wing concerns I would have thought.
- sahadeva, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Pretty soon it will be all NewAssignment and DigiDave ; )
- DigiDave, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3Interesting that social bookmarking sites weren't included.
I wonder -- is what we are doing an act of journalism?
Even more curious: Myspace was on the list.
What does myspace have to offer journalism?
a potential reason: http://www.newassignment.net/blog/david_cohn/nov2006/16/the_top_thinkers - parthanant, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Pramit Singh wrote a good post adding 13 more names to the list. He wants to make it a 100 person list. http://mediavidea.blogspot.com/2006/11/100-people-shaping-online-journalism.html
