    The Rubik's Cube is actually one of the most geeky toys I can think of -- but if you never tried to figure out the Fridrich system during the 80s you might disagree. Anyhow...

    If this was made out of cubes, then there would be a negative effect on the other side. The x-axis would be reversed of course, but that's about it. Opposite colors for US cubes are white yellow, blue green, and red orange, so it wouldn't even look that bad when reversed.

  • jhuebel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Seems like it's fake. Consider that the green blocks in the top-left, bottom-right and middle areas all have the same brightness. That's highly unlikely in a room with only natural light, as this seems to be.

  • TomClements, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0as the cube face that creates Mona Lisa only uses 9 of the 54 colored squares there are TONS of possible combinations for the back face. That being said, it probably would be possible to invert your palette for the back sideimmage.
    If i had that many cubes i'd try it.

Better yet, take a closer look rather than just skimming over the picture. It's easy to think they cheated, especially since the light from the window has blown out a good part of this images indicators.
