- ericof, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1In the Photoshop/GIMP era it's hard to believe in images like this, but... dugg anyway. Seems a pretty good job.
- kevinmoore, on 06/13/2009, -0/+1They're called Rubik's Cubes, not "Rubic's"
- markperia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I wish i had that much time in my hands.
- MasterSharma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i wonder if you look on the back side if you would get the negative effect (if someone actually did it with cubes that is)
- cprior, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0In a rare moment, I actually do /not/ think this story is misplaced here.
The Rubik's Cube is actually one of the most geeky toys I can think of -- but if you never tried to figure out the Fridrich system during the 80s you might disagree. Anyhow...
Still, digg++ for me. - mddigger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I wonder who got the job of playong with all of thoes rubic's cubes to get them in the right orientation. That took a while... :)
- nucleocide, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is retarded. Please do not digg this crap.
- c0dek, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1two seconds later, the Predator destroyed Ms. Lisa...
- J0nnyB, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I wonder if that toom a while or not depending on if the guy who did this happen to of been looking at a realy crudy pixled Mona lisa or not. But good. I'll digg it.
- ILL_Robinson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0And she's smiling too!
(c: - Matt-lars, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Thats pretty cool
- Nu_Metalz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0making one face of the cube isn't hard...but dugg for effort;)
- Cerberus047, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0muy kick ass-o
- molecool, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Seriously - how geeky does it get? LOL - dugg for effort though...
- Breadstick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I wonder what the back looks like...
- rnelsonee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0mastersharma-
If this was made out of cubes, then there would be a negative effect on the other side. The x-axis would be reversed of course, but that's about it. Opposite colors for US cubes are white yellow, blue green, and red orange, so it wouldn't even look that bad when reversed. - Barlo_Mung, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Look at the edge of it. It's not even full cubes. I looks like slices of cubes.
- jhuebel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Seems like it's fake. Consider that the green blocks in the top-left, bottom-right and middle areas all have the same brightness. That's highly unlikely in a room with only natural light, as this seems to be.
- DNABeast, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm having flashbacks to owning a CGA monitor.
- TomClements, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0as the cube face that creates Mona Lisa only uses 9 of the 54 colored squares there are TONS of possible combinations for the back face. That being said, it probably would be possible to invert your palette for the back sideimmage.
If i had that many cubes i'd try it. - Carlsb3rg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://www.digg.com/deals/Mona_Lisa_s_Rubik_Smile
97 days old - navinjohnson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Dan Brown's new sequel "Cracking the Mona Lisa Rubik Code"
- Digisurfer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You guys that think this has been made out of cube slices need to get your eyes examined. Better yet, take a closer look rather than just skimming over the picture. It's easy to think they cheated, especially since the light from the window has blown out a good part of this images indicators.
- alterself, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0looks like they took the cubes apart. its not made from WHOLE cubes, rather the disassembled pieces of many cubes.
- raindog469, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If it had been made out of *intact* Rubik's cubes, I'd have been a lot more impressed.
- TheCheeta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0^^^^ GREAT eyes... and a really good point. What gives? Did someone do the label cheat?
- Genericity, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0lame-o
- billizm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I actually hope this is computer generated rather than someone acutally spending the time to create that out of real rubics cubes.
- perseon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Whatever.
- DKasler, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0digg effect
- capajc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0That chick's ugly. Wish they'd've used more cubes to improve the resolution.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Ack, this has the look of a 1990 ANSI graphic ;)
I miss those days, the Ice and Acid days.. - Nathanjrb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0someone has a lot of time on there hands!
