- jiub, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Copy it into C:windowssystem32 and it will show up in your screensavers.
- nhurtley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What a riot!
- dmr182, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You can also install it on Windows by extracting the file, then right click > install.
- Bonobo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1how do i set this as my screensaver?
- FlyingToaster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I was so excited about finding a workable version of this awesome AfterDark SS and guess my dissapointement when it's not the original (or at least how I remember it).
The Toasters use to go from top right to bottom left.. toast actually popped out from time to time and the theme song.. the THEME SONG!!!
"We pop up to save the daaaay."

- reggiedarden, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm so diggin this. I was just thinking about this screen saver. After dark was so cool. Flying toast is really the only screen saver I could ever keep on my system for a long period of time. Even out lasted the Matrix code. Too bad I can't get to the site, darn digg effect.
- Sixcolors, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Damn, overDugg. But some are saying it's not the original? *checks it out*
- Sixcolors, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It is a knock off of the original. That stinks. But super kudos and Diggs because it unearthed a link to the REAL flying toasters.

Now I just need to find an OS 10 version... and flying toilets. God, I used to love those! Oh, oh, and Voyeur; the one where if you watched, you'd see the silouette of a guy either choking a chicken or spanking a monkey. And who could forget the clock guy? "Hey, wanna know what time it is?" *flash* "Heh heh heh!" *gyrates* - jamester, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Anybody have a mirror? :P
- nifu3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i love after dark but this is a cheap terrible knock off

-mpm - MikeZila, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Dude, Acrophobia. I would play that game for hours. Get the Picture, Cosmic Consensus, aw man does this bring back good memories. Those were the days...
I'll digg it just for the nostalgia that just washed over me.
+digg - FlyingToaster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Last comment.. promis.. I just love my toasters...
Here's a commercial product that actually seems to be the real deal.
OS X only..

- FlyingToaster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nix that last post... it doesn't have the theme song :(
- FlyingToaster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Thanks for the link to the "real" AfterDark screensavers. The free version is "ok" but where's my theme song? Can anyone confirm that it's available through the payed version?
*link is a few posts up* - locohozt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm not sure what the problem is on your dual screen systems but on mine (geforce 6600gt on wxp pro sp2) it works fine.
and i wrote this screensaver based on a couple images and a description since i don't have a mac. i had no clue to a soundtrack :-/ - WtrGOddess88, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I saw some people talking about missing Cosmic Consensus. I, too, miss that game, but they have a new version out now. It's called Discordi and it can be found at www.discordi.com They are relying on people like us to play the game and spread the word. So if you want this classic to stay alive this time then you should sign up, play, and spread the word as well.
- SirBriggs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think I have that on my Linux Box, dunno if it's the same one.
- dbpigeon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sweet. I like it. And if anybody didn't see the other post about it, extract, right-click > install.
- williamhelms, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0here's a link to the original version: http://www.screensavers.com/afterdark/
- goldenratiophi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I still have my old After Dark CD... but it won't work on Mac OS X. But now at least I have Flying Toaster back... Digg!
