The Digg Council Has Spoken
tinypic.com — No longer will "But will it play Doom" be used to describe the power of a rather powerful gaming computer. It is now replaced by "But will it play Crysis". Those in violation will be beaten with a wiffle ball bat.

- mhockey14221, on 11/07/2007, -0/+2Thank you for your service. I salute you.
- frenchy64, on 11/05/2007, -2/+1***** no, will it play doom is awesome.
- marksmayo, on 11/05/2007, -0/+3"Will it play" I think has been interpreted as "will it run" in the past. I move that we actually measure a beast of a PC in its processing power too - as in - can it actually PLAY Crysis! Of course that'll then descend into a rant about AI and Chess and Go and all that, until someone hooks Crysis up to a Spam filter, and all the digg board messages suddenly vanish in a cunning Queen's Gambit....and the internet is left for about 30 seconds in a moment of blissful peace...which will then have the by-product of producing the most definining "First Post!" in history, although none of us will get to see it....
- marksmayo, on 11/05/2007, -0/+1(humbly apologises for use of the word "definining")
- f3l1x, on 11/05/2007, -1/+1NO no no no no! you have it all wrong. "will it play doom" was a challenge to get doom to run on any device at the time... not a power rating.
Your better off saying "thats over crysis specs!" than "...over 9000!". which is still gay so don't.
It all comes down to you coming off as an ill-informed idiot really.Just like all the kids calling the "slashdot effect" the "digg effect". way to show your limited internets experience. (or maybe you grew up in another gibson!?) - vroom101, on 11/05/2007, -0/+1As His Majesty of the Tubes' personal ambassador to Digg, I have been sent to say, "I Approve".
