www.demoniod.com - barelyadraft, on 10/16/2008, -1/+2I would also reccommend http://www.slyck.com. There you can find out about everything p2p. It lites best sites for search bittorrent and ed2k etc.
- Heathen, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2The more the better with this particular protocol kfstick.
- wireplay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wartex: agreed. I thought TPB was good even before the redesign. One day when they were having server trouble -- they put up a picture of the pirate ship sinking. Amusing. It more than made up for the inconvenience.
- djspike, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1the correct Torrent Reactor URL is http://www.torrentreactor.to/index.php
- kfstickman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I like how they pointed out that the technology was legal. Good digg. What I meant was now everyone knows about the list of torrent sites. Not that I use them.
- MikeZila, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0No Defiant?
defiant.ws is a great search that's mad fast. It found things ISOhunt couldn't find for me more than a couple times. - diargasm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0how much longer before these sites go down?
- awwwmang, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0lol www.thepiratebay.org owns all of those.
- Wartex, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Huh? What's up with dat? The Pirate Bay isn't listed? I thought that was one of the (if not THE) BT-Search engine?
- chosenone-, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0LOL, funny how this is an About.com article.
- _jinx_, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0www.torrentspy.com is fairly new..within the last 6-8 months is was released and is really good. Now it sucks that you guys know about it though...becuase in a month it will be down! If you were on mIRC then you would know about www.ircspy.com which is also hosted and owned by the same group as torrentspy
- mkjones, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Pirate Bay all the way. The new interface just rocks. And it tends to have most of the stuff the others do.
- digggo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0what a heck is this... about.com decided to do a crazy story about bittorent? why only 5? where are the other ones? what they are so lazy that they decided to do only 5 or they only know 5 :) thats crazy... even more funny that they didnt even include better ones like piratebay mentioned above. this should be deleted from digg.
- Scuba, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1awwwmang: "lol www.thepiratebay.org owns all of those"
Pardon? How does one own oneself? Considering ISOhunt and Torrentspy index TBH among many other trackers, I'd have to say that they own your sorry ass. - anorris, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1http://netforbeginners.about.com/od/peersharing/a/torrent_search.htm is by the same guy with a top 30.
Its dated two weeks later, and lists isohunt.com and thepiratebay.org as 1 & 2. I love TPB, if you haven't checked out the "legal" section, check it out. I was entertained for about an hour reading that... - _jinx_, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"These are all lame... Public BitTorrent sites suck ass. They are slow as hell and nobody reseeds when they are done. So what if you can find something on some crappy torrent site if it takes 3 days to download it?
Try private trackers w/ enforced ratio and membership. I max out my downstream on 0day then reseed while I sleep. Works out very nicely...
The others are worthless"
For someone that only torrents like 5 times a month this is not useful information. In order to be considered "usefull" in these groups, you need to do a lot of downloading and uploading. For someone like myself that just torrents randomly.. these are good suggestions! Also the speeds are not that bad, Plus don't forget your getting this stuff for free, so the wait for products should not really be complained about. - redsrule2500, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0hmm i guess this is neat
- Permanent4, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Thank you, About.com, for providing the MPAA with a short list of new targets to sue out of existence. Dolts...
- pinc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"The Pirate Bay isn't listed?", yes, the pirate bay is the best, but it doesnt "search" every other bt tracker. but websites like torrentspy searches piratebay and other sites.
- lollerskates, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I don't know, the owner of IsoHunt managed to defend himself against a bunch of legal issues by stating that he DOES moderate the submissions. Basically, you'll find maybe one or two torrents that will be deleted for copyright reasons.
- poptarts, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I use flextorrent..
- Tweekster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1This "list" is useless for the MPAA so idle down about that.
The pirate bay is pretty horrible, no one there has ever heard of an nfo file describing what exactly the content is.
how many times do you see: "VIDEO_TS" on that site.
i hope the RIAA goes after those companies that are making installers to the files that result in MASSIVE spyware infections since technically and legally they are providing copyrighted material for profit - bytorbytor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://bytorrent.no-ip.org/ a collective torrent search
- g00n, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1These are all lame... Public BitTorrent sites suck ass. They are slow as hell and nobody reseeds when they are done. So what if you can find something on some crappy torrent site if it takes 3 days to download it?

The others are worthless - xamox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0T-Spy by far is the best, slick interface and ran by the crew that ran IRCspy, which was the way to go before torrents were ever around.
- Cerberus047, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0mininova is by far the best but isohunt is close behind they got me into torrents and im ordering their tshirts on jinx.com too
- dropoutwannabe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0try http://fubar.com.ar/jabberwalker
- MadOwyn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0There has been a lot of changes over the last few months. Worth bookmarking the link and checking back periodically.
Another site worth checking is http://tvrss.net/
This is a great way to be automatically notified by RSS of new BT episodes for your favourite shows.
"When I first started tvRSS, I wanted to have the ability to search for TV shows, unlike any other site out there. The search mechansim that was in place is somewhat limited. Mininova and most torrent-related sites that use a simple "name" field are also limited in that respect. This is about to change.
For the last month or so, with the help of a friend, I've been developing a new method of searching for TV shows. It is finally public. It is now possible to search for more than just a simple "name."
The database structure has drastically changed. When torrents are added, the filename of the torrent (which is all that's available to parse) is processed into various "fields." These fields are: show name, filename, show title, season number, episode number, quality, release group, video format, audio format, date and "modifier."" - meaculpa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I appreciate that this author listens to his readers. My friends and I have sent him three suggestions in the last two months, and he has responded to and included all of our opinions in his writing.

- borget, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Another great site for ALL categories of torrents:
http://www.sumotorrent.com - qads, on 03/05/2008, -0/+0you forgot http://tv-torrent.net for TV Shows and Movies
- qads, on 03/05/2008, -0/+0http://tv-torrent.net
Great for TV Shows and Movies - kfstickman, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Great now everyone knows about them.
- vertigoblue, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0ha i like how they say TPB is new...
it was one of the first sites i ever used - M4tt3r, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0O yeah, I'm sure letting the MPAA know exactly what sites are the most popular, can't possibly come back to haunt them. D-oiy.
Pirate Bay ain't up there cuz NO ONE can take it down, so I can only assume that About.com decided not to post it, cuz the traffic would increase and no one would go to sites that are targeted by the MPAA and RIAA.
BTW ...VTV torrents are tracked by AP2P, government, and spy-ware companies, so when you DL them on mininova, (if you have Peer Guardian) watch how many blocked connections you get. And not to mention you won't even be able to connect to the tracker, unless you disable PG to allow a connection to the tracker and others before you reactivate PG.
I can make a list a 50 plus sites that have came and went, and larger amount went do to the fact that the MPAA found out about them, duh!
Wow, you want our government to go after companies and tell them they can't add something to their own software, or allowed by the creator of the software. Talk about fascists, WOW!. Who cares about spy-ware, if your intelligent enough, you should never have to worry about spy-ware in the 1st place.
What are you smoking, can you pass it here?
