- Beanlover, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Submitter was too busy trying to bash Bush in the attempt to get the same diggs.
The media is the lapdog of this administration? Since when? You mean how they constantly are trying to paint his as a moron and such? Yeah..he REALLY has the media in his pocket! Way to sniff that out! - PurgueFlantar, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4[QUOTE} Colbert...urged Bush to ignore his low approval ratings, saying they were based on reality, 'and reality has a well-known liberal bias.' [/QUOTE] That my friends is funny.
- Sirocco, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4>> and the media's status as lapdogs to the administration.
You're ***** in the head, right? The media has been ripping Bush a new one since 2000. - RubberbandLN6, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I think many people are digging too much into his speech. It was not some huge political attack, it was just Colbert in his character telling jokes. I also don't think making a few very funny jokes can be considered "one of the most significant events in the past years"
- emil1212, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I just find it hilarious that even though Colbert is there in jest, you can tell his intentions. I wonder how the Bush felt during the whole roasting. Colbert is a genious.
- Rio517, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I doubt a lot of people are familiar with this speech. I think it would have probably helped you to get more diggs if you had talked a little about what might be worth thanking Mr. Colbert for.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Sorry to break it to you pal, but Clinton won with a minority vote.
- matrox212, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Clinton got a majority vote in 1996 thank you very much. You don't like Colbert much but you certainly like "truthiness."
- AeonTorpor, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1And I'm not very sorry to break it to you, but this countries voting system is ***** up. Colbert is right, Gore had the popular vote. You may say that's the "other election" and that it doesn't matter. Well guess what, had America gotten its wish for Gore to be president, we wouldn't be bitching about whether Colberts statement was right. OMFG *stunned* wow, here's your ass.
- PurgueFlantar, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2@DukeofSpades Could you please substantiate your statement: "Just goes to demonstrate the dream world Colbert's living in". What exactly are you responding to? FYI: the statement comes across as canned spam. Dream world?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I digg, but know that all 11 stories that mentioned colbert in the past 12 hours were buried.....
- AeonTorpor, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2The hell? What i consider the most significant thing about this speech is that as his balls grew larger and the jokes more personal, the crowd got quieter. They knew what he was doing, and god bless him for doing it. He put them in their places. And now the nanny ass media isn't reporting a damned thing, whether it be from their shame or support for this administration. The media is composed of a bunch of cowards.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4Just goes to demonstrate the dream world Colbert's living in. Don't get me wrong, he's a pretty funny guy (not much of an actor, though, he's always making himself laugh) but I find lots of democrats trick themselves into believing they're in the majority despite the fact that it's been several decades since any democratic candidate has gotten a majority vote.
