- shahrum, on 07/15/2008, -2/+131THANK YOU FOR USING ALL CAPS...
Seriously now... - melonhedd, on 07/15/2008, -6/+103What the ***** is Summize?
- xParker, on 09/12/2008, -1/+73Hopefully Summize doesn't start to crash as much as Twitter.
- ElBeh, on 07/15/2008, -0/+58I, TOO, SUFFER FROM CALLIOPEAN VOCAL SYNDROME
- m3mn0n, on 07/15/2008, -2/+51DIGG HEADLINE ACQUIRES CAPS LOCK
- MSCopeland, on 07/15/2008, -3/+42I think this will definitely increase the usability of Twitter. This is a good move!
- Colindean, on 07/15/2008, -2/+37WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING?
It's Twitter, not Digg. - a3r0, on 07/15/2008, -3/+36What the hell is Summize? Thanks for informing me of this breaking news with all caps.
- TwoDotOh, on 07/15/2008, -1/+26Maybe next they can acquire a marginally fault-tolerant network infrastructure.
- str1fe, on 07/15/2008, -4/+24WHY ARE WE YELLING?
- randomguy132, on 07/15/2008, -1/+20I remember something about them having only four employees. If that is the case, this acquisition more than doubles their staff; that's big.
- rrunboy12, on 07/15/2008, -6/+24has anyone figured out the need for Twitter yet in society? I don't see the purpose.....
- mrthebunny, on 07/15/2008, -2/+17STOP CHOUTING!
(get off my lawn!) - Gumby_Mac, on 07/15/2008, -3/+17It searches for keywords in the Twitter stream. The only thing I use it for? Movie credits. I hate sitting through all the credits in a movie theater in the off chance there is a secret ending. Now I can just check Summize and usually there's at least a dozen people who've already sat through 'em and will let me know if I need to waste my time.
Try it. Visit Summize and enter in any current movie title and the word "credits".
Oh yeah, it's no longer summize.com, it takes you to http://search.twitter.com/ - inactive, on 07/15/2008, -3/+15They can hardly keep twitter up, how are they gonna keep both up now?
- b0rna, on 07/15/2008, -0/+12How about acquiring some new servers?
- dafragsta, on 07/15/2008, -3/+15Where the ***** does the money come from?
- bunnyman1, on 07/15/2008, -1/+1110 PRINT TWITTER ACQUIRES SUMMIZE
20 GOTO 10 - melonhedd, on 07/16/2008, -2/+12Why would you buy a company that doesn't even have a Wikipedia entry?
- cards, on 07/15/2008, -1/+11For those having trouble, this is a helpful tool for turning off your caps lock: http://grownupgeek.com/capslock.jpg
- neosublime, on 07/15/2008, -3/+12***** it...
- yayster, on 07/15/2008, -2/+10Personally, I think it is cool that he is using an Apple ][ to submit his digg articles.
- inactive, on 07/15/2008, -3/+11it's for people that have a stalker fetish
- dullnation, on 07/15/2008, -0/+8zing!
- radioactive21, on 07/15/2008, -3/+11How about acquiring more servers. Twitter that!
- revrev, on 07/15/2008, -5/+13EPIC FAIL x2
- mediaspree, on 07/15/2008, -2/+10Dude its not only based on number of diggs but other factors like speed on being dugg and variety of diggers digging. If someone who only diggs sports stories diggs this along with 10 other random people in a short amount time, the heat of the story is increased. Or something like that.
- inactive, on 07/15/2008, -1/+8I SUMMIZE THIS IS A GOOD THING?
- Anakashar, on 07/16/2008, -0/+7LOUD NOISES!
- inotocracy, on 07/15/2008, -0/+7Failwhales, ahoy!
- mikesly, on 07/15/2008, -0/+7What the hell is Twitter? At first I assumed with the drink or the board game...
- m3mn0n, on 07/15/2008, -1/+7Diet Facebook
- mcprogrammer, on 07/15/2008, -4/+10When did Twitter become important?
- MavRevMatt, on 07/15/2008, -1/+6That's actually a really good use of it.
- sh4rkb1t3, on 07/16/2008, -0/+5Twitter is a piece of *****.
- brainnovate, on 07/25/2008, -1/+5Twitter definetly has more than that, not sure about Summize.
- shutaro, on 07/15/2008, -1/+5What is this Twitterhol you speak of?
- keshavkhera, on 07/16/2008, -0/+4now i love that lol
- KirbyMorph, on 07/15/2008, -1/+5I summize that all of this searching will only lead to Twitter downtime every 6 hours instead of every 12. Perhaps they should buy some servers before putting more load on the already bogged down system.
- rusticdog, on 07/16/2008, -2/+6Too hard to read the blog post was it ?
- Klowner, on 07/15/2008, -1/+4Welcome to the internet
- inactive, on 07/16/2008, -1/+4please tell me the point of twitter.
- JeremyK684, on 07/16/2008, -0/+3CARE POLICE
- nemobushido, on 07/15/2008, -0/+3besides in an emergency situation, there's little need for twitter. it's basically a fancier facebook status update, for those who like to pretend they're important enough to broadcast the mundane tasks of their everyday life.
- FredFredrickson, on 07/15/2008, -0/+3Of course there's a callousness in GTFO. I think it's ridiculous that people waste their time writing about all the stupid, trivial things they do on Twitter, and is only trumped in uselessness by other people spending time reading it.
Take a look through the standard Twitter account - 99% of it is complete rubbish.
"I'm eating Cheetos"
"I'm waiting for the bus"
Etc, etc.
This isn't a chronicle of something big. It's a list of stupid ***** people do all day, and as I said before, a complete waste of time. Spend your life doing something important, and not tapping away at your cell phone every five minutes to tell people you just got a coffee. - dmcbride6, on 07/16/2008, -0/+3Nice! One pointless and crappy service acquires another!
- dn11, on 07/16/2008, -0/+3Twitter is a web app that helps internet famous people inflate their egos and enables everyone to stalk them at all times.
- IEatHamburgers, on 07/15/2008, -1/+4If its a form of alcohol, judging by the crash rate of Twitter it must be 200-proof.
- wideawakewesley, on 07/15/2008, -0/+3Global SMS
- Zoglog, on 07/16/2008, -0/+3ok, so small speculative company buys out another small speculative company?!?!? WTF?!?!
