- borez, on 11/14/2009, -0/+12We need a new protocol that completely hides your identity, but functions like bittorrent.
/yes I know there are bolt-on methods of doing this already, but let's face it... they're tedious. - Junkyarddawg, on 11/14/2009, -0/+12That drop in traffic was just my download finishing.
- Nitroxide, on 11/14/2009, -0/+8That's RRDTool, it can be used with tons of different graphing programs (mrtg, cacti, pfsense) it's not "pfsense traffic graph"
- Zidz, on 11/14/2009, -1/+5gräv.com (kind of)
- TacomaStud, on 11/14/2009, -0/+4So that is what a metric ***** of traffic looks like.
- pandawa, on 11/15/2009, -0/+2congratulations RIAA. you didn't do anything. *goes and pirates another song in protest*
- FlyingSquidwolf, on 11/14/2009, -0/+2LONG LIVE PIRATE BAY!!!!! YARRRRRRR
- Ninh, on 11/14/2009, -0/+2No thanks, I wouldn't want to catch a rainbow coalition of STDs.
- matthekc, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1I think it might be time to make a list of thing the average person should be able to reasonably expect, then organize a boycott the media industry for the 3rd and 4th fiscal quarters to get their attention. Finally bring them to the table to get an agreement on the rights of the media consumer. You know the same media consumer that gives them all their money.
3rd Quarter: April 1, 2010 – June 30, 2010
4th Quarter: July 1, 2010 – September 30, 2010
Some of my complaints would be...
I don't get why copyright now lasts a century. Copyright was originally 14 years with a one time extension to foster a creative industry but limited in time to allow a public domain.
This internet shutoff thing is jacked so if I watch 3 wrong youtube videos could I loose my internet? I'm in school for IT I would not be able to finish school or do research for my job; effectively that would render me unemployable. How do I know what is safe to watch or not? - katana0182, on 11/14/2009, -0/+1It's called I2P, and it's legally invulnerable, because it's just a network, and it can be used, for example, to protect people's identities who want to speak anonymously, such as dissidents or dissenters, as well as for secure bulk data transfer between peers. The source is available and it's in the public domain.
As pipes get bigger, pseudonymous overlay networks will grow more and more powerful. I2P already has several peer-to-peer applications, including an integrated BT client, for torrenting Linux distros, of course, for which there are several trackers within the I2P network.
http://www.i2p2.de - Junkyarddawg, on 11/14/2009, -0/+1Just out of curiosity, have the RIAA or whatever local lobby organization is behind the IPRED law, been sending out lawsuits by the truckload during this time like they do in the US, or did they back off after the PR disaster with Pirate Bay?
- Suricou, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1F*** THE IFPI might have been more appropriate, but the sentiment is apparent.
I'm not sure what the swedish one is called. - Cryoniq, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1Seriously.. This is *****! I worked at Swedens 2 first ISP's back in the days and this drop the media blown up to be about IPRED is nonsense! Why? Because I happen to be certain period in a year where the traffic drop this way due to a number of reasons.
Have a look at each year 13 years back and you will see it. Have a look next year and it will be there as well.
