- kopiwrite, on 07/01/2009, -0/+34Unsurprising. RIP TPB.
The (r)evolution goes on without them. - inactive, on 07/01/2009, -1/+22This whole story stinks.
GGF seems like a shell company. - HerrWolf, on 07/01/2009, -0/+18Seems legit to me.
They had a profit margin of -115.30% on the first quarter, their stock isn't worth *****, have 5 employees and a website with a 2007 copyright notice and a bunch of Halo images. What else do you want? - inactive, on 07/01/2009, -2/+16Can I short that company now? Because TPB isn't worth ***** as a legit business.
- zbeast, on 07/01/2009, -0/+9you can't short the stock its like 33 to 25 cents..
Global Gaming Factory stock is so bad that it's not even investable.
Q1 number is Net profit margin -115.30%

- inactive, on 07/01/2009, -0/+5At least now we know how they are gonna make the money to buy the piratebay. sigh, but maybe this means they ARE the right company to buy TPB. Even when going legit, they break the rules. ^_^
- Dochirin, on 07/01/2009, -1/+6Honestly, they always were there for the money. Did you believe that their ad revenue just covered their server expenses ? their site was really simple and lightweight and each page was covered with at least 5 ads (and btw, tracking torrents isn't precisely that computational or network intensive).
- Chrysalii, on 07/01/2009, -0/+4The ***** thickens.
- sexybobo, on 07/01/2009, -2/+6TPB never logged anything if they did they would have gotten is a hell of a lot more trouble then they did.
- mandarin, on 07/01/2009, -0/+4Look for Cui Bono "Who Benefits"
- 42Vindictive, on 07/02/2009, -0/+4When I first saw the story, I announced "Who the ***** IS Global Gaming Factory?" With such a generic name and virtually no 'global' products or services attached to their brand, I think its a question that all TPB users find themselves asking.
- HerrWolf, on 07/01/2009, -1/+4No, the article says there are suspicions of illegal activity on the part of the company that will buy The Pirate Bay.
- ayeroxor, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3GGF almost makes me not want to OGC
- WorldGroove, on 07/01/2009, -2/+4If a legit company(with all the rules & regulations that entail being a legit company) blatently refuse copyright-owners demands to remove non-paid-for software, music and movies/TVshows off their website like the TPB use to do... they will get ripped to shreds.
Unless this whole GGF company is, indeed, not legit and it's some kinda crazy front created by the TPB people and somehow after a year in jail... TPB is back in the hands of the people who created it. But that's crazy to believe that's what's going to happen. - sexybobo, on 07/01/2009, -0/+2that is why they wont be hosting the torrents or tracking them each will happen on a seperate site and the torrent host won't know what the torrent is of and the tracker wont know what they are tracking.
- HerrWolf, on 07/01/2009, -0/+2"Employees: 5"
- veloscaper, on 07/01/2009, -1/+3...Girls a fakin' ... goodness sakin'
They want a man who brings home the bacon
Got no money and you got no car
Then you got no woman and there you are... - Travelsonic, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1"...remove non-paid-for software, music and movies/TVshows "
Dangerously broad parameters for what content should/shouldn't be up. - hellbent187, on 07/03/2009, -0/+1Who is Global Gaming Factory you ask? It's the RIAA in sheeps clothing. Duh... The RIAA found a crooked judge that they could bribe. Actually, they bribed 2 judges if you count the appeals judge. They convicted TPB founders of some BS charges and fined them 8 million dollars. Now the RIAA is offering the founders 8 million dollars to buy the indexer and, more importantly the tracker, to shut the TPB down for good. It's so easy a cave man could figure it out. =)
- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1Wow, the new dupe detection is awesome!
- inactive, on 07/01/2009, -0/+1has anyone though that maybe, just maybe the big media associations might try to buy TPB out?
edit: never mind, i forgot they would be too greedy to do so. - inactive, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1Tax Haven
- Sethbacca, on 07/02/2009, -1/+1They also lost a hell of a lot of money from the lawsuit. If they can recoup that, I say good for them, there are other torrent sites out there.
- Presbyterian, on 07/01/2009, -2/+2Of who?.
- trashymac, on 07/01/2009, -4/+3So they're saying suspicious activities were involved concerning a website called The Pirate Bay? I don't believe it.
