***** the MPAA! - Khast, on 09/27/2008, -0/+22I can almost bet it will be passed eventually. There is plenty of money in the part of the RIAA being invested into our senate and congress....this revision may be struck down...but they will keep trying until it does eventually pass.
The RIAA will stop at nothing to get such ***** into law....as it can only benefit them.
Obligatory ***** the RIAA and RIAA. I really hope they fail...there is new technology...and they are behind the times.
edit--- I stand corrected...it did pass.... add in for good measure ***** CONGRESS for falling for ***** lies and only caring about what money they get from this. FOR SHAME. - PopcornDave, on 09/27/2008, -0/+19Given the average age of congress, do you really think that any of these people understand what the bill actually does beyond putting more money in their pocket from it's passage?
- EXTER, on 09/27/2008, -0/+17BPI, RIAA, IFPI = Sony, Universal, Warner Group, EMI
MPAA = FOX, Disney, Sony, Universal, Warner Group, Paramount - baldboy7, on 09/27/2008, -1/+16Just say it dammit! ***** THE RIAA AND MPAA!
- Saitekc, on 09/27/2008, -0/+13Fight for your freedoms, and to strike down all those who wish to violate them. ***** THE MPAA, RIAA, and all those other shadow organizations.
- Draicone, on 09/27/2008, -3/+13This is ridiculous.
- blackanode, on 09/27/2008, -1/+10The U.S. government is ***** hopeless.
- duke, on 09/27/2008, -0/+9Now they're trying to go after the NY lawyers that blog about them and link to court documents.
http://digg.com/music/RIAA_Seeks_Sanctions_for_N_Y ... - deepleet, on 09/27/2008, -1/+9This is getting boring but
***** THE RIAA! - scythe33, on 09/27/2008, -0/+8Awesome, always good to see another hole dug in their hyperlitigious armor. ***** the MPAA, ***** the RIAA.
- inactive, on 09/27/2008, -0/+8Money is king.
Money comes before people in the US government.
Even if the effect is massive poverty the dumb ***** still put the bill through without consideration to its effects on people, business and other peoples opportunities.. - digitally5, on 09/27/2008, -0/+8Freedom is nature of an individual. This should not be the decision of any government or corporation.
- johnsu01, on 09/27/2008, -0/+8Guess we better change our target to the House now... And let the senators know that they screwed up.
- Manther, on 09/27/2008, -1/+8Finally... a place where this hasn't been overused yet:
***** the RIAA!
***** the MPAA! - Meocross, on 09/27/2008, -0/+7GTFO OUT OF OUR INTERNET MAFIAA.
- uterpendragon1, on 09/27/2008, -0/+6PIERDOLIĆ RIAA!... you hear from Poland.
- yizuman, on 09/27/2008, -0/+5It's not a theory, it's a fact. Try it when you have billions in your disposal and change the laws to your way instead of the people's way. Money has a very powerful influence to people from within government. So if you wanna ***** up the people, just have lots of money to do it.
- nytel, on 09/27/2008, -0/+5I REFUSE TO PURCHASE RIAA SUPPORTED MUSIC.
- abajaj2280, on 09/27/2008, -0/+5Psh, the MPAA and the RIAA will never have anything on the internet. We always find ways around their unfair justifications.
- digitally5, on 09/27/2008, -0/+5The underhanded RIAA and MPAA should just lobby to ban the internet. The internet is bad for their business and cannot be controlled by these greedy corporations who do not function as a benefit for any community or society. The nature of music as we know is/ was to share and spread the voices of talented individuals. Greed is what destroyed the financial system. I would suggest a new path, the right path and cater to the listener's needs and wants. There is a barrier in which intellectual property rights are protected and it has already gone too far.
- inactive, on 09/27/2008, -0/+5Open your eyes! The US government is for sale, you pay the money they do the paper work and vote yes on taking away your right to equal rights under the law. They don't care about you!
- pablo0713, on 09/27/2008, -1/+6***** THE RIAA?
- cgbspender, on 09/27/2008, -0/+4With Biden as VP the RIAA and MPAA rule will get much stronger. This guy is one of their strongest supporters in Washington. You can be sure that he will not disappoint his lobbyist friends and benefactors and use any influence he gets to pursue their (and his) crazy plans.
Even if Obama is better than McCain, keep in mind that you will also get an insane control-freak into the White house who prides himself on inventing the patriot act before the bush administration and who wants to outlaw encryption and make recording online radio a felony. - greevar, on 09/27/2008, -1/+5That's actually a pretty catchy tune. We have an anthem!
***** the M-P-double-A! - inactive, on 09/27/2008, -1/+5Hello

***** BUGS BUNNY! - sdigroup, on 09/27/2008, -0/+3***** the RIAA
- abbathdoom, on 09/27/2008, -0/+3dig haz ads?! adblock plus FTW
- yizuman, on 09/27/2008, -0/+3As long we're not infringing the freedom of others. Greed, on the other hand, is infringing the freedom of others. RIAA and MPAA should not have the freedom to dig into the pockets of civilians, whether we like it or not.
- Endrian, on 09/27/2008, -0/+3Gub'mint came and took mah babeh!
. . .
Also my MP3s. - lmf49, on 09/27/2008, -0/+3you wanna lock down the web and throw away the key,
well you better not touch my ***** technology.
so back the ***** off or your ***** dead,
yelling 1337 on a *****' fed...... - NicholasBentley, on 09/27/2008, -0/+3I think the damning letter the DoJ sent to the Senate Committee is the best part. Says it all in two pages (pdf) - http://www.eff.org/files/DoJ%20letter%20re%20s3325 ...
- pond70, on 09/27/2008, -2/+4no one cares...
this maybe a shock to the RIAA and MPAA ..guess what there is a world beyond the USA borders
oh ya .. ***** the RIAA but in the 'hate' ***** kinda way - inactive, on 09/27/2008, -0/+2These stories RIAA so ridiculous!
- hymneforthedead, on 09/27/2008, -1/+3Barack Obama 2008!
- Vich, on 09/27/2008, -0/+2Yeah, I know this is US-centric, but I dugg it out of principle knowing that other countries that look to the US may follow suit.
- blipblopblip, on 09/27/2008, -1/+3Never mind the MPAA, go for the CFR, the ACTUAL shadow government.
- buttheadward, on 09/27/2008, -1/+3Biden is one of the biggest supporters of the RIAA in the Senate.
- OmegaWolf, on 09/27/2008, -0/+2Death to Big Content! Burn in Hell! We will not have our digital rights "managed"!
- dsmx, on 09/27/2008, -0/+2All you have to say to them is that it would make the DoJ duty bound to investigate every US citizen for copyright infringement, yes that includes all the representatives and senators in congress.
- earthforce1, on 09/27/2008, -0/+2Bob Barr 2008!
- conversekid, on 09/27/2008, -0/+2It's over, bitches.
***** the **AA - Metasquares, on 09/27/2008, -0/+2This is how every such bill ends up. From the moment it was introduced, I knew that every "nay" vote merely delayed its eventual passage.
- minmaten, on 09/27/2008, -0/+2yeah, ***** 'em
- CarzorStelatis, on 09/27/2008, -0/+1They got their shadows mixed up. Mickey Mouse should be the one wearing the iPod.
- hydroplane, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1The real crime is calling the works of the likes of Soulja Boy "intellectual property".
