Oh man, I thought someone figured out how to make the world live as one, living life in peace. - jojofreak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1These are old news.. but cool tech ..and not so good sound
- itsbonczek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I acutally got a chance to hear these at this year's CEDIA conference in Indianapolis. They had a booth with a home theater system set up, and to be honest, they sounded pretty great. I wouldn't use them for a home theater, but they would be perfect for places like the dining room or kitchen where great sound is not required.
- joelp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Great Idea....
I would probably put a nail through my speaker trying to hang a picture. - n3tfury, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"The demonstration we heard with a multi-channel movie track sounded fabulous." - not much of a review from Audioholics. More of an advertisement.
- Pooley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I don't get the Lennon reference. Can someone enlighten me?
- Zeush8su, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Even though they *vanish* their sound quality isn't that great I'd much rather go with Boston acoustics or Niles and just have the grills painted to match.

- digital.dreamer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Oh damn we blew another speaker :)
- ehmjay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The story goes:
John Lennon had this inventor guy who he paid a crap load of money to to make him cool things. One of the things was wallpaper that was a speaker, however he could never actually build the stuff. That's what i was making reference too. - lafingputz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I wouldn't buy 'em, but it's a neat idea.
- speakerdude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Have you tried these speakers? I have them in my home and they sound very good. OK, not like a Genelec or a Wilson, but very decent sound. I also have the subwoofers installed. Way cool..invisible subs. Not the tightest sound but acceptable and very surprising in dynamic output.Hey they are invisible after all.
- chickenrob, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I agree I wouldn't use these for a home theater or the maim audio system in a living room, however, these would be great for a bathroom, hallway or bedroom in a whole house audio system. The cool factor of your guests searching the bathroom for the speakers while they are on the pot are worth the slight degrade of quality.;)
- Seaton, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think these speakers are a great idea on paper, but true audiophiles will never buy them. The beauty of a surround speaker mounted on the wall is that you can change the soundstage simply by moving the speaker a little.
Also, when the tweeter blows, you have to literally cut a hole in the wall to replace them.
No thank you! - Seaton, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"if you can "change the soundstage" simply by moving a SURROUND speaker, then you never set it up correctly to begin with."
I assume when you installed your speakers, you also nailed your sofa to the floor.
I sometimes feel the need to fine tune the placement of surround sound speakers depending on where I am sitting or where guests are sitting. Also, if I do move my sofa, I will need to adjust my speakers accordingly. - TheRepublic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I agree with markperia. In less than 2 weeks my speakers would have punctures in them.
- XorSystem, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0One of my favorite things about my home theatre system is the look of the speakers. It adds to the ambience and hiding them isn't something I want, per-say. But as others said, having it around the house and such is pretty cool.... especially in hallways....

hahahahahahahaha - hadees, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Anyone have a review of this product?
- paulsabey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Judging by the pictures on the website, this seems to be a traditional speaker that someone has just embedded in the wall. Hardly ground breaking (unless I'm missing something). By comparison, NXT have been making paper thin speakers for years. They even do transparent ones that can be bonded onto things such as displays. If you want discreet speakers these would seem to be a better option and wouldn't require hacking your walls to bits.
- ehmjay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0heh, DjOverEZ, well put!

if you can "change the soundstage" simply by moving a SURROUND speaker, then you never set it up correctly to begin with. - DjOverEZ, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You could also say that Phil Spector's ideas are coming to life ie. the "Wall of Sound."
- cjurczak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm impressed with the "stealth-i-ness" but hell for all we know they could sound as flat as they look...Great idea, just hope they sound good enough to be worth all the extra trouble...
- ehmjay, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0BTW. My first article and it made it to the main page! This is so cool! thanks diggers!
