Then your HTML probably isn't valid . . . right? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1well i know mine isnt.....it renders, that's all that matters
- skwid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well, this site is so much better for me, you can make your own button just how you want it:
http://kalsey.com/tools/buttonmaker/ - rompom7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1some cool ones.. but don't say your html is valid if it isn't.
- nightfly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1>i've yet to see any widespread benefit to having valid code. sure it might help like 2 or 3 >people but that's about it. not sure it's even worth the extra overhead.
Exactly what "extra overhead" are you referring to? Valid html will render faster and will look correct in all browsers instead of just the one you are using. Just because you don't know how to write valid html doesn't mean that there is no benefit to it or that there is "extra overhead" associated with it. - eastshores, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Good god.. the synopsis and title are rediculous.. this wouldn't have made it to the front page if people didn't surface-digg (yea that's the term we should use!) =D

- kolop1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0 Buttons=front page?
- Bogtha, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0> Ohh.. some people still think HTML is "code"
It is code. It isn't a program, and writing HTML isn't programming, but it is code.
> i've yet to see any widespread benefit to having valid code.
Every time a major browser has a new version released, there have been problems where invalid code has broken but the equivalent valid code has not. You can trace this common occurance all the way back to at least Netscape 1.2. I don't know about you, but I'd rather write good code once instead of bad code that has to be fixed every so often. - Klowner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice selection of buttons, but I hope the poster is joking about using buttons with invalid code, that's just retarded and makes you look like an idiot that can't code, rather than just someone that can't code.

It might be fun to argue that all programming languages are markup languages until a compiler has turned them into machine language. Nahhh... ;P - allralph, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0How can a simple picture inserted with a link not be valid for any html standard? I think that has nothing to do with it. Nice collection nonetheless.
- 87rounds, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Soo old news... it even has the Mozilla Phoenix button.
- 0x2a, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0dugg just because of the "works for me" button. who needs w3c validation, anyway?
- serra, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is older than dirt, but I do like the little buttons.

seriously, markup language vs. programming language. errrr.
i've yet to see any widespread benefit to having valid code. sure it might help like 2 or 3 people but that's about it. not sure it's even worth the extra overhead. - ryanmeadows, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Dupe
