- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I like pie, how about you guys?
- sentry21, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2yeah Zenithan this ranting is dumb. I hereby stop flaming and spamming this thread, therefore ending this argument in a draw.
- RussianSurfer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2maybe this article should have been called "Zenithan vs sentry21" instead of "Star Wars vs Star Trek"
P.S. The Ori, would kick both of their asses
"Hallowed are the ORI" - Zenithan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Thank you. I agree to your terms and declare this insanity over and done with.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Man, I hate player-haters.
- sentry21, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@Zenithan
Wow why don't you go ***** yourself you digg noob. You joined up 2 days ago and dis a member that's been here since 2005. And the opinion thing? Nobody cares...this comment system is meant for comments, not rants. - sentry21, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@Zenithan
Digg is also not a place to rant on about non-sense which you are doing. - sentry21, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@ Zenithan
You can stop being a douchebag now but I geuss you won't. Thanks for wasting everones time including your own. - sentry21, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Your're a ***** hypocrite because you call Matt "Covalent" or gay but in fact he has gotten more action then you will ever get in your life so if I were you I wouldn't talk about people behind their back.
- RussianSurfer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I dunno about that. I mean look at the episode "Beachhead" once the prior gave the ultimatum to the Jaffa to worship the Ori or else.....he used the "force" to hurl them out of sight.
I know the Jedi and Sith can force throw things, but the most they've done so, at least on the films, has been a few dozen meters or so. - sentry21, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You do that Zenithan the Hypocrite. Zenithan the Arrogant, Zenithan the "Too damn cocky for his own damn good."
- sentry21, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Dude you don't even know what your dealing with here. I have gotten way more action than you so just stfu. I won't discuss any of it here as this is not exactly private and I wouldn't want a 12 year old asking his parents about stuff.
And "You believe you're going to get any "action"?" "argumentative, arrogant fool" Geoff step away from the computer and go have some real life expierences. - Icmoigigan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, that would be a better title.
Although the Oroi do not really execise direct power and the Priers(sp?) seem comparable to Jedi or Sith in power. - Zenithan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Well, since you're obviously out of things to say, and I've already countered this argument by saying that I've been browsing digg for a long time, I'll just let you burn yourself out. Enjoy the cycle.
- Icmoigigan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I consider "beachhead" a special case, it seemed to me like extra energy was being channeled from the other galaxy from that location and on top of that they also drew on the very power of the weapons the Jaffa used.
Incidentally certain Sith have been known to direct solar flares to destroy fleets with the force. I find that the Ori minion powers are usually equivalent to Jedi or Sith but both sides do display cases of extreme power. - sentry21, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1***** you Zenithan I'm never backing down to you ever again.
- Zenithan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Yeah, sorry about that. As Ascended, though, I think the Ori would have a pretty good chance. Ah, the joy of Stargate SG-1.
- Zenithan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Wow, way to troll and not contribute to the discussion. Long rants are to be dugg down now for no reason when I am simply stating my opinion? Alright, then.
- Zenithan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0And now hypocrisy joins your side, hmm? You believe you're going to get any "action"? I find that hilarious, especially with an attitude like you have. You may appear "shy" in real life, but your true colours show online as an argumentative, arrogant fool. It becomes all the more apparent with each comment that you make, especially since you started this entire argument yourself. I don't even understand why you feel the need to fight, and then complain whenever I reply.
Oh, and the thing about talking about Matt is that it's a joke. I don't mean anything that I say, and everyone knows that. Matt is a very sane person except for his "lapses" which can be either amusing or just foolish. It's just who Matt is. He takes a lot of crap for it, and I respect him for that. - Zenithan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0And yet you seem to have problems pressing the "reply" button next to my own posts. There's a reason digg uses a threaded system, you know. I've been RSSing digg for a very, very long time - I only recently joined because I only recently had a desire to start commenting. I did this mainly because of the new, threaded comment system which vastly improved the system.
Also, if you didn't notice, I did 'comment' on the article: I stated why articles like that were never truly subjective and gave my own opinion on it. Oh, and unless I'm mistaken, you just gave your opinion. Aww, a hypocrite.
You're pretty sad, digging down your friends deliberately. Have a good day. - Zenithan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Generally when you call someone a hypocrite, you explain why. Unfounded insults usually don't tend to do too much, last time I checked. Hey, I could be wrong. Maybe spewing insults could save the world.
And I've never seen my arrogance do anything against me, so I guess I'm not too cocky for my "own damn good."
Feel free to stop whenever you'd like. - Zenithan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Yes, I'm sure it made you a better person because you're willing to lower yourself to that level. I hope you enjoyed it. Frankly, I'm going to hold out for someone who will actually be faithful to me and actually has some kind of mind. The thing about what you call "action" is that I am not looking for any. To use that against someone is what you would expect from a 13 year-old FPS player, not a 16 or 17 year-old student. It's hard to believe the levels of childishness that you reach.
You're arguing with me on Digg about real-life experiences? This amuses me. I experience the world every day through my friends. I'm really glad they exist, despite the times we fight. I intend to experience life to the fullest just as soon as I have finished my education.
Yes, I am arrogant. I'll admit to that. Yes, I am argumentative, but only because I seek to defend myself. As for fool, well, I guess that's subjective. I'd like to think that I'm not. I guess I am kind of foolish for arguing with someone who listens only to what they want to and insists on using pathetic insults that have nothing to do with character. - sentry21, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Get the ***** out of here you digg noob Mr. Zenithan.
- sentry21, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Dude you have no comebacks
- Icmoigigan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I am not a "player-hater", I just think that this has nothing to do with tech or science news, which clearly it does not.
"What is digg?
Digg is a technology news website that combines social bookmarking, blogging, RSS, and non-hierarchical editorial control."
In short this is not really a site to post about you fanboy fantasies. Now I notice that you have made many articles and they all seem good, unlike this one. - Zenithan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0No problem. I guess I'll just let people flame my comments in future and do nothing about it.
- Zenithan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0The problem with stories like this is that they are likely to attract two polar opposite sides: the Trekkies and the Star Warsers. While certainly an interesting comparison, the site does not really seem to present both sides equally; in short, it is a propaganda tool, much like most modern media.
Additionally, this is an argument that can never truly be solved. No site that I have ever seen on this subject has ever given both sides equal consideration. I've seen quite a few well-reasoned arguments, but I always conclude the same thing: why argue about two fictional universes and what would happen if they collided? Take the two for what they are: entertainment. Entering the world of the imaginary technologies contained inside each franchise seems both pointless and foolish, although very amusing in the long run.
Personally, I believe, based on what I have seen, that Star Trek would win in a COMPLETE battle in which all Trek races were aligned and all Star Wars forces were aligned. This has nothing to do with technology, however. This has to do with the sheer number of utterly invincible beings Star Trek has, such as the Q and Gary-Stus such as Wesley Crusher. Then again, there is a lot I don't know about Star Wars, such as the power of those who have "become one with the Force."
In a purely technological battle, however, I do believe Star Wars would dominate, at least based on the theories presented to me by both Trekkies and Star Warsers (I have friends on both sides of the spectrum.) The sheer size of their fleets could easily dominate most, if not all, of the mortal races in Star Trek.
In any case, that's my two cents. I just don't see the point. - Icmoigigan, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Wow, you have reached the pinnacle of lame by bringing something like this up on digg, furthermore that site is utter ***** as is its author.
A less ***** site(although still not suitable for digg) is http://www.stardestroyer.net/Empire/
