- dracostimpy, on 08/15/2008, -0/+3Makes sense given that RFIDs are already in most car tires, so pedestrian travel is the only way to get around incognito anymore.
- vincebodie, on 08/16/2008, -0/+2Oh great, they're in tires too? Ok, somebody needs to come up with a cheap and easy to use device that will alert you to any RFID chips in anything you own and then disable them for you.
- queenoftoshiba, on 08/20/2008, -0/+2By the way, thank you to Katherine Albrecht and Liz McIntyre for SPYCHIPS. Folks that I meet in bookstores and libraries are always intrigued by the RFID subject matter.
- queenoftoshiba, on 08/20/2008, -0/+2Clothing makers should make the public aware of RFID chips in the consummables that that they buy. I LOVE clothes from the GAP, Old Navy, and Banana Republic clotheslines but I am hesitant to buy them because I might be tracked when I wear them to convenience store, the gym, or the offfice. There should be an extra tagging as they do with nutrition lables. It is IMPERATIVE!
- tkubic46, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1No More Tracking People! Down with the Surveillance state!!!! Down with RFID!!! Down with the Department of Homeland Stupidity!!
- tkubic46, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1Are they going to chip our babies next!!! ***** You Gov't Fascists!!!
- Bizzie, on 08/18/2008, -0/+0I hear you can put your chipped passport in the microwave for 30 seconds & that fries it enough to disable it.
I've never tried it but that's what I heard. Of course, a tire??? Hmmmm... - Bizzie, on 08/18/2008, -0/+0Please go to DownsizeDC.org ( or .com ?) for some great actions to take involving restoring our Freedoms ( petitions to sign, etc). DownsizeDC has been active in the fight against the REAL I.D. Card. Today on gcnlive.com Downsize DC aired their weekly Sunday show & during the 2nd half, they talked about the new & troubling TWIC ( Transportation Workers Identity Credential) card. This card is being forced on transportation workers as a back door REAL I.D. card. A gentleman who is a brown-water tug boat operator in W VA ( for 23 yrs & LOVES his job), was today's guest. He is refusing to take this new card w/ its gold RFID chip. He is willing to lose his job to stand up for Freedom, & is well aware of the Orwellian implications of this card. This show can still be heard on podcast at gcn.com
( Genesis Communications Network) until next Sunday's show ( 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. eastern) which BTW will be this host's last show after 3 years. Dr RON PAUL is next Sunday's guest during the show's 1st hour (3:00 p.m. eastern).
Back to today's show, which did an excellent job covering the RFID issue, & might be a great thing to pass on to ppl you know, the 1st hour had a topic which is not the show's usual fare. But the host wanted to feature the topic: about a book on organized religion. I'm interested in that subject so I listened, & actually just thought the coverage was ok. I much prefer Jordan Maxwell's take on that topic. SO.... if for whatever reason that is not your cup of tea, & you're new to downsizeDC, please don't let that turn you away. The 2nd hour of today's show was great! And actually, the general info/intro in the first half was good.
Thanx to Dr Albrecht for all the work she does to fight fascism via her actions & research RE: RFID.
Peace & Freedom!

Shekinah - DavidMacko, on 08/16/2008, -0/+0How do we disable them? I hear that hammers work. Is that true? Can it be done with tires?

http://blogs.ebay.com/merrellfootwear/ - KarlaElisa, on 08/18/2008, -0/+0Careful frying your passport. They are on to the tricks we use and I believe that's a felony.
Wrapping it in a towel and beating the hell out of it is the only way I've heard to disable it without leaving direct evidence. They still must accept passports with disabled chips as some simply are defective.
These chips are in our money too, if that gives you any idea how tiny they are. - Guder, on 08/15/2008, -2/+2seriously... might as well track where we shop IRL also... :
