- franklymister, on 07/06/2008, -1/+44The author says "There are so many websites out their that serve the same purpose as Digg, Twitter, and Myspace," then proceeds to include both Digg and Twitter in the list, and not include any sites that compete with MySpace.
Article Summary:
Digg, Reddit and Mixx are similar. (and you probably know all of them)
There's this site called Sphinn you might not have heard of.
Twitter, Pownce and Plurk are similar. (and you probably know all of them)
The end. - inactive, on 07/07/2008, -2/+17Vagina.
- IanRReardon, on 07/07/2008, -0/+9How did this make the front page. It reads like a book report on social media websites.
- inactive, on 07/07/2008, -0/+9What could possibly make me hurl more?
- inactive, on 07/07/2008, -0/+5"Instead of researching, I’m going to guess that Reditt came out before Digg."
Ouch. When the author cannot be bothered to search on the topic he's writing about and he says it, it doesn't look good to me. - inactive, on 07/07/2008, -0/+5The only apparent requirement for making the front page, is inclusion of the word social, in the title.
- inactive, on 07/07/2008, -1/+6"Since time is one of the most valuable resources that us humans try to utilize"...
So why then are you suggesting that any of us read your drivel? - kyledeb, on 07/07/2008, -0/+5This is a pretty low quality blog post.
- duckyinc, on 07/07/2008, -0/+5"which of these websites are actually worth your time?"
Not many if you ask me - Slacker1031, on 07/07/2008, -0/+4None of them!
- tonyDigger, on 07/07/2008, -0/+4I don't know how this got to the front page. Nothing new was said. No New sites were mentioned. And He said he loves Digg. Of course we do.. Why else would we be here.
- mayhemchaos, on 07/07/2008, -0/+4I dugg this before reading the article. I have learned the error of my ways.
- jackusage, on 07/07/2008, -0/+4I think some of these bloggers are getting bored.
- popflop, on 07/07/2008, -0/+3This guy is an idiot if he thinks digg is "the most popular social networking site on the Internet", umm I think facebook might beat digg out for that title, as much as I love digg.
- techmonkey4u, on 07/07/2008, -0/+3I think the article lost all credibility for me when I encountered the second (of eight) misspelling of Reddit, indicating it was probably not a typo.
- Anteros, on 07/07/2008, -0/+3Poorly researched article, I just wonder how it made the front page. Since it's a blog on internet marketing I am guessing some shady tactics were involved.
- jazzviolin, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2I think this slipped through the cracks via the Digg Recommendation Engine. This (blog spam) post does not attain the basic level of worthiness that usually accompanies front-page items.
- ohhoe, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2"serve the same purpose"
Then why would I need it? - moonasha, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2thank you very much. Saved me from reading that garbage.
- artstanton, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2Check out the site that this appears on... it's an Internet Marketing site. The audience for this is internet marketeers, not end-users. People who are looking for places to market their products and annoy the rest of us.
He's proving the worth of his article just by being dugg and getting this much attention. Plus a little snideness at the end just to get people's goat up that much more. - Genma, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2thanks for summing that up, I knew it was going to suck.
- aserer511, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2"...serve the same purpose as myspace"
To serve as breeding grounds of emo kids and fat 20 year olds making kissy faces? god knows we need moreof those... - jsd8cc, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1Precisely.
- redwallhp, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1Reddit rocks!
- moondowner, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1Haha, and you are Digging :)
- inactive, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1Not sure how or why that got in there! I guess it's a clear case of excessive punctuality! :)
- facelesscoward, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1Superfluous commas are superfluous.
- chadwalters23, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1What about Propeller? It's pretty good.
- stevenimmons, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1I find MySpace pretty much unlovable. I described the user experience earlier today as like driving through a complex contraflow system at night. If you look straight ahead and ignore the flashing lights you'll get through, but at the risk of a blinding headache! And why must it make group searches to difficult?
- Bloodboiler, on 07/07/2008, -1/+1This is about web sites. Physical forms of social media do not count, no matter how popular they are.
- nohero, on 07/07/2008, -2/+2don't understand that :)
- VitaminH, on 07/07/2008, -1/+1Don't get me wrong I like Digg and al but this guy has a massive boner for Digg and it's obvious. Everything is compared to Digg and just not quite as good as Digg...
- paulwalker71, on 07/07/2008, -2/+2Last line sort of sums it up :
"Remember, just before I publish this article… If I didn’t list the social bookmarking site you use, it sucks"
Nice to have objectivity, eh? - scottzeitz, on 07/07/2008, -0/+0If this article is intended to help marketers decide how to use social media, it failed miserably. Besides factual errors, obvious site omissions, it does not actually impart any insight on marketing on said sites. UnDigg this please.
- jsd8cc, on 07/07/2008, -1/+1What the hell is Reditt?
- dannywhite, on 12/02/2008, -0/+0twitter is the way forward... and will be the search engine of the future... find info on things that people have talked about...

http://www.uwpays.com - bcrich999, on 07/07/2008, -1/+0... these social networking sites remind me of reality TV shows... enough already...
- soheilkh, on 07/07/2008, -1/+0None of them!
- tedrock, on 07/07/2008, -5/+3People still use myspace? I honestly wasn't aware it was still popular.
- Bloodboiler, on 07/07/2008, -2/+0"Since time is one of the most valuable resources that us humans try to utilize,"
Social media, if anything, proves that our time is absolutely worthless to us and everybody else. Now, go do something useful like improve that Wikipedia page about your favorite Pokemon. It's only 26 pages long and doesn't even mention that thing that happened in that one episode. You know what I mean. I know you do. - CherrySmith123, on 07/07/2008, -3/+0""People Still You Myspace...I honestly wasn't aware it was still popular""..................did you REALLY just say that....................doom-masssssssss lol
- inactive, on 07/07/2008, -7/+3Penis!..
Yes..i win!! - rajk0909, on 07/07/2008, -7/+0Facebook & Digg rock. MySpace is too much hype I believe
- buckchoris, on 07/07/2008, -9/+1Myspace is the best.
