Skype 3.0 BETA: a Reviewer's Guide
zeropaid.com — Skype 3.0 BETA has so many new features that you can tell somebody's been burning the midnight oil to bring Skype squarely into the world of Web 2.0. Believe it or not it now has everything from "skypecasts" to chinese checkers to a shared "whiteboard." It truly has progressed by leaps and bounds.

- Bronstone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Indeed, it is improving by leaps and bounds. Considering all the features, and that its compatible with both Macs, PC what's stop this from taking over from IM clients like AOL, MSN, ICQ and the rest? The quality of the video and audio is second to none. Dugg.
- MercedRocks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4AND the Universal Translator! I mean are u kidding me? It will verbalize text chat messages and convert into almost any language you choose, so theoretically, depending on the quality of the translation you could actually have a conversation with somebody who speaks or writes no English at all, or simply convert the text into a known language for record keeping.
- zpchrish, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4love it!!! the whiteboard feature ROCKS.. when can I get this on my sidekick???? helooooooo
- stoni, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2In Linux we still are using version 1.3 with no sms, no videconference, etc. It seems nobody at Skype is working on Linux version.
- nasium, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The new features are rocking. Skype is like a heavy weight fighter that just knocked out AIM as the best chat software. AIM is 04, Skype is so now!
