- IceCube, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12Because the ED2K retention is a lot longer then BitTorrent along with the fact that ED2K doesn't soak up all your bandwidth like BitTorrent does.
Not to be mean, but BitTorrent isn't the fastest alternative either ;) - phro, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9I'd say generally BT is better for current releases and ED2K has more variety. Right tool for the right job and all that. Welcome back SR!
- MJXII, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6A shame Simon Moon didn't want to continue SR himself, but glad it's back :)
- outofspace, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5What a blast from the past :)
- JiMiThInG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I am amazed to see this site back after all the legal trouble it had.
- SRJanit0r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Now maybe ppl will stop asking me wtf the SR in SRJanit0r is all about.....

- itanshi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3read that post more, might be false info, but thanks for the heads up
- losboccacc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2the MPAA?
*wears tinfoil hat* - Dalif, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It's back in the hands of old admins on there. I know them, and they are rebuilding SR as we knew and loved it. They do need the help of all the old fans, so don't hesitate :) And don't believe all the rumors you hear out there (including this one, if you chose).
But Maxaiqa, Piratsvin, Xtrician and most of the crew is back in black :) Simon Moon is still under scrutiny in his home country, and the police still have the old servers, which is why he chose to pass the torch. - st3vo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i have been waiting forever for this day :)
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I second the "hell yes" this site makes ed2k :)
http://tvunderground.org.ru/ is a good site but no movies. - lordgreg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1sweet!!!
- MJXII, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well it seems like the domain is american but the server is located in the Netherlands. No one seems quite sure who owns the server at the moment :P
- shaolinpunks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1sadly the forums don't go up to 2004 (when it got shut down) but only 2002
- Raptor007, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Awesome! I always had better luck finding obscure things on eDonkey than trying to find a Torrent, and ShareReactor was THE place to look.
- UpTheToon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Been a while, good to see it back.
- starkistuna, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1yeah! nothing beat it for getting x year old files , of obscure books , manuals , videos or fakes filtered out.
welcome back! - pangea, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1glad to see it back up. Sharereactor used to be my homepage.
- TheleO, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Awesome, this was an amazing surprise!
Really glad to see this page back. - devilzslide, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1glad to see you back, this is really one of the best things that happened this year
- lordrel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You Might want to read http://respectp2p.org/news/727/ and see what the previous owner of sharereactor has to say
- dbug, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Don't get too excited about it:

Looks like the new site is under Hollywood control. - Dazzling, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I still had this site in my bookmarks, hoping that it would come back one day. It was my favorite website. Great that it is back !
- Abadia, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Great!
- BlackPearl72, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sorted
- flippy31337, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1This takes you back
- GTMcGrail, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very nice after all these years to see the site back online again from a nostalgic point of view. It would have been nice to have seen Simon Moon return back with the site as others have already mentioned (I bit like a ship sinking without it's captain on-board).
However, as nice as it is to see the site back. Already I've been reading threads were the staff seem pretty disappointed with the amount of posts being made from members after only two weeks back online. Unfortunately SR was around at the right time before to cash in, now it's come back when ed2k sites are at an all time low. Part of that is because people use Torrents and can't be bothered to wait for slow ed2k download speeds anymore.
There going to struggle, and there are other ed2k sites around now to compete with SR. - dansko, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Thats great news. Good to see you back :)
http://www.born-shoes.org - OBcecado, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0SR is again alive and kicking :D
- ypsilon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Oh my god, that takes me back to my broadband childhood! It's just really sad, that a year of the forum is lost...
- DCstewieG, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Torrents suck up all your bandwidth? Maybe you should set a limit. I limit my upload (no limit download) in uTorrent to 40 of my 48 KB/sec and it happily runs unnoticeably. eMule on the other hand, even if I set it as low as 25 it seems to slow down my basic web browsing.
- szelij, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1I get redirected to respect....wtf?
- spaemo, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1Ok, why ed2k if there are torrents now?
