- se7en11, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15I'm sure people who blog think the same thing about people who leave comments...
- psilanthropist, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14Thats a really good article with a lot of truthin it.
No wonder it got so few Diggs. - WillSpencer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6This was funny as hell; it's sad to see that it has been buried.
- ithomasm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6jefbob I think that's his point. The system isn't designed well enough to make sure that the good posts get through and the crap stays out. He's trying to bring the issue to light so it gets fixed, not so that others abuse the system.
- BoneyB, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5The fact that this story was buried makes Diggers look very, very stupid.
- EmperorAnton, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Are those who make false spam reports not spammers themselves, and therefore should also be banned? But then DIGG might end up banning themselves right out of business.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thats the part I cannot figure out, in 1997 I had a website and I did the same thing people are doing now by 'blogging', so it was old news to me 10 years ago, then all of a sudden is the biggest thing in the universe?
I realized after a couple years that I had nothing interesting to say, so I stopped doing it. When will the rest of the world wake up and realize they are just as uninteresting as everyone else? - pamil, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well, it's good digg shows "how to big a dirty digger" but it doesn't let legitimate SEO blogs thru! Please note my sarcasm! To say that Lee Odden’s blog is a splog is too much! I think digg has some issues and with this I will stop using this fake and unethical social bookmarking crap till they fix their problems and ban the users that make false spam reports. Oh, yes, you are welcome to burry or delete my comment. Do it here, because you’ll never be able to make the rest of us shut up! The blogosphere is already burning with news about digg’s injustice.
- jefbob, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1That may be true, but at the time it wasn't very obvious to me. I am usually pretty good at picking up the sarcasm and jokes of stories and comments here, but I guess I was wrong on this one. After looking at the story again, the poster put an update at the end that makes it clearer that that was his intent. Sorry to have buried it, but I did not pick up on the sarcasm and the point behind this one.
- HawaiiSEO, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4Digg bowling.
- PAULANEALMOONEY, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0I was banned from Digg and it's turning out to be the best thing that's ever happened to my blog!
http://paulamooney.blogspot.com/2006/12/i-was-banned-from-diggcom.html - Jammerdelray, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1From his blog
"Everyone who’s ever submitted a story to digg knows a snappy title can mean the difference between making the homepage and getting half a dozen votes and fading into oblivion."
No just a Accurate title would do well. - jefbob, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2This is just another way of gaming digg in my opinion. It takes away from the purpose of it being user-driven. Isn't the point of having a blog to write interesting and original thoughts and stories that people might want to read? Why don't you try doing that to get to the front page?
