Russian astronaut will hit ball into orbit

mirror.co.uk — A cosmonaut is to tee off in space and send a ball on a four-year orbit of the earth. It will travel 12.5 million miles after Russian Pavel Vinogradov whacks it from the International Space Station.

  • CrazyNic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0okay NASA is worried that he might 'slice' the shot and hit the space station, taking out a solar pannel...or while this ball travles in orbit it might take out a satalite...these all seem to be VERY resonable concerns...but alas the 'cosmonaut' claims that he's very confident he'll be able to hit the ball into a safe orbit. Well unless he's playing on the PGA I find that hard to believe. What's even better is that this is another stunt brought to you by Canada...a golf company is using this as a marketing tool
