In this instance, a product & service that is not only a household name, but one in which "Joe Public" already holds confidence.
Faced with the choice of developing, marketing and hoping over several years that the resultant "G-VoIP-App" might be successful, versus immediate access to that revenue stream, buying Skype makes far more sense if you have the cash...as well as removing the primary competition. - cubicrystal, on 01/27/2009, -0/+11Enjoy:
