- dtele, on 06/18/2008, -0/+3...but no code for their anti-cheat algorithms (lol)
Anyway, it's a great move ! - kazzyD, on 06/18/2008, -1/+4But what does this really mean for new features being implemented for Reddit? So anyone can contribute to the site's development, but who decides which contributions are in or out:
http://www.techconsumer.com/2008/06/18/reddit-goes ... - TheMachine1, on 06/19/2008, -0/+3There is nothing secret about Diggs algorithm if you study it. Its a lot less sophisticated and insightfull than you may think. Its close to how high-school cliquish popularity contest dynamics works.

- 80hd, on 06/19/2008, -0/+1And by extension, digg's algorithm is open source as well
- lolinyerface, on 06/19/2008, -0/+1I love the recent blast of 'omg 60~ diggs and on the front page without comments' whines that people blow out lately.
Go Reddit! - dinobot, on 06/19/2008, -1/+1As in MrBabySpam?
- inactive, on 06/18/2008, -1/+1That's nice. Now everybody can study the new algorithm. The only problem is once you know the algorithm and apply it, you'll be in the realm of the anti-cheat algorithm, effectively canceling out your strategy.
- drewolanoff, on 06/18/2008, -1/+1woot!
