You do NOT know what you are talking about when comes to technical issues. Having read most of your lame-ass digg comments it is obvious, you do NOT have a clue about ___ and stop filling digg with your nonsense. - AndrewTechie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Pretty cool idea. If I had $20, I might spring for one...if I had $20
- Cannelle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's NOT powered by RFID. It's powered by INDUCTION. This story is directly from Slashdot -- read the comments there.
- ryan00davis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this is actually dont by induction, its not powered by rfid, it powered in the same way as rfid, its really not a new concept, just new to a mouse
- JazzSax, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification. In its simplest form, an integrated circuit on a small silicon chip is attached to a small, flexible antenna, creating a tag. The integrated circuit provides data storage to record and store information. A reader sends a signal to the tag. The tag absorbs some of the RF energy( i.e induced field) from the reader signal and then reflects the RF energy as a return radio signal containing information from its memory." "What else could be powered by RFID?" Everything from real-time inventory for big business, to the RFID chip that may be located in the proposed National ID. (dugg earlier)Although a neat idea, it also has potential for wrong doing. Real-time inventory would revolutionize business, while readers on the side of the road would not only be able to identify all with IDs who are in the car, but also all items that were purchased and/or still have the chip left on the from prior purchases. This mouse is neat technology, but seems like another indirect means of subtle conditioning to me.
- FunkyGuy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yeah these seem cool.
