- hydroplane, on 07/10/2009, -0/+10The economy must be bad if the dumbest idea ever in the history of Earth didn't make a profit.
- serif69, on 07/10/2009, -1/+9The only other way blogs can be successful in other media is if they are in sing-along format.
- bigteebo, on 07/10/2009, -0/+7Let me guess, most of the content was just links to other content?
- inactive, on 07/10/2009, -0/+6I have a better idea. Take the stuff that used to go out to print and instead put it on people's computers and call it the interwebs..
- kkiran, on 07/10/2009, -1/+6Print media - 2009 - really?!!! I am not surprised!
- Haplo, on 07/10/2009, -0/+4To extend your idea: how about special paper for the runs. I suggest we could print digg comments on them ;-)
- calvincooper66, on 07/10/2009, -1/+4What were they thinking?
- idiomorph, on 07/10/2009, -1/+3That's like trying to start a horse and buggy company in a world of flying cars. YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG.
- areyouserial, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1Centralized, printed news with top-down approved ideas and freedom of the press only for those who can afford the press is taking its last breath, thankfully. Newspaper nostalgia makes me want to vomit. Stop doing CPR on a rotting corpse.
- WraTH017, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1If he was successful, I was going to try and cash in on a similar idea. The only difference is, i would be publishing companion literature for this publication, which would consist of my comments to their blog entries, and selling them in smaller strips of paper with adhesive on the back so you could paste them on their corresponding articles.
*****! I was going to make billions! - travisatles, on 07/10/2009, -1/+2Thank God you put "(for manufacturing paper)" in parentheses, I might never have known why they were cutting down all those trees....
- inactive, on 07/10/2009, -3/+4not cool
- strictnein, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1What the...?
- Curlybob, on 07/21/2009, -0/+0brings a new meaning to failblog!
- my10cent, on 07/10/2009, -0/+0Okay I thought the idea of having blogs was to get information out faster and save trees, so why on earth would you go back, it would be like going from cars to horses again, I really don't hope this project got any of my tax money to launch.
- shamittomar, on 07/10/2009, -4/+3No one wants trees to be cut (for manufacturing paper).
- B1665r, on 07/10/2009, -6/+1wow, I was sort of trolling, didnt expect to be dug up. If any vc's are out there I already have an specialized inkjet printer sourced and an ink that is toilet paper safe. I expect we could be delivering these to news stands for trial markeing in 60 days.
drop an email and I will get back to you with my elevator pitch. - stevelectric, on 07/10/2009, -6/+1Actually- the "Printed Blog" is a good idea. The advertising environment for the broadcast and Cable Television networks is soft now too. Keeping in mind that Internet traffic goes down 30% in the summer didn't help either:

"Social Networking" Websites like facebook and twitter are looking for way to make money from advertising too and they have grown to hundreds-of-millions of users:

When the economy gets going again there will be a place for the "Printed Blog." - hurrayforschool, on 07/10/2009, -7/+1Really?
- Presbyterian, on 07/10/2009, -12/+4cool no comments.
