250mbs for Pro file sizes... nice, but I now wonder that one of the major incentives to upgrade your account are now gone - 100mb is pretty good for most people.

As a pro user, I worry that he performance issues preventing me from reliably being able to post even simple updates from the web interface weren't addressed before committing more bandwidth to increased file size allowances.
That said, I have many good things to say about Pownce. Pro membership is inexpensive and helps support a wonderful team of people there - so consider it a donation to a good cause if you can't justify it as a need.

Humm i will have to log in to my pownce account. I like the themes and idea of it, but haven't honestly used it much. Maybe if i could link from it like photobucket or something, how about mp3bucket! lol

I love using Pownce to share mp3s with my friends. I also love that I can publish my best Flickr/Zooomr photos there.

I still see no reason to ever use Pownce.

Does this mean pownce will actually work when I go to it now?

This is nothing...there are sites out there where you can upload gigs and even ones that allow you unlimited upload amounts.

WTF is Pownce?

i was going to use this for work as an alternative to FTP to transmit items to our clients. but until we can transmit GBs of data, it's kind of pointless.

I signed up for pownce but I as well see little use for it.

I've signed up but never used it. No one I know is interested in joining :( . .They are happy with facebook, hi5, etc.

Sorry Kevin, Pownce is still completely useless. Adium is lightyears ahead. So are about 1000 other social/file sharing protocols. Just because you're Kevin Rose doesn't mean you get to convince everyone that your silly little program is better than the others. Maybe you should drink less beer and spend more time analyzing markets before entering them. Come up with something innovative next time.

Bigger file sizes will be great, but what the non-Powncers should understand is that is only one component of Pownce. Filesharing, links with larger than thumbnail preview for images and video, event posting etc. are all features that add to the core of the main Pownce experience: conversation.
