- kjd84, on 09/19/2008, -11/+123And to get pinched for uploading such a ***** movie!
- Morghin, on 09/19/2008, -0/+108Uploading a movie: 10 years.
Rape: 3 years.
...wtf? - Fhwqhgads, on 09/19/2008, -7/+97I can think of many actual crimes that actually cause harm that are given less penalties. How dare he cost a multinational corporation a few dollars. Corporates are in charge everywhere. No doubt about it.
- inactive, on 09/19/2008, -2/+5810 years in jail for an extremely non-violent crime. Yeah, that makes sense.
I hate the world in which we live in. - RizenBB, on 09/19/2008, -4/+5510 years in prison for that?
Is this a joke? - RMoore08, on 09/19/2008, -9/+54DO WHAT YOU WANT CAUSE A PIRATE IS FREE!
- inactive, on 09/19/2008, -1/+44I came here to post the same thing.
Getting arrested for this movie is like taking a bullet that was meant for Paris Hilton. - Sillywombat, on 09/19/2008, -9/+41Yeah, but all he did was a FANSUB!
It wasnt even pirating the movie... - inactive, on 09/19/2008, -2/+34Wait..they find a guy within days of uploading a file and we still can't find Osama Bin Ladin???
WHAT WHAT THE ***** *****????? SERIOUSLY - WHAT THE ***** IS GOING ON??? *****! - JustinNoland, on 09/19/2008, -1/+2910 years? Are you ***** joking? These kinds of non-violent crimes shouldn't be met with prison sentences at all. A stiff fine, probation, community service, et cetera would all suffice. Stealing 10 years of someone's life, and enslaving them to a life of negative stigma forever is not the answer for such a petty offense.
- RMoore08, on 09/19/2008, -0/+25Governments need to get their priorities straight...
- Kohaxx, on 09/19/2008, -1/+25YOU ARE A PIRATE!
- JackDoyle, on 09/19/2008, -1/+21Here's what he could have done... He could have shot and killed the officer that came to arrest him. Then, turned himself in. He could plead to the murder charge if they'll drop the video uploading charge. He'd be out in half the time.
- inactive, on 09/19/2008, -2/+22Don't copy that floppy!
- BoneheadFarker, on 09/19/2008, -1/+20I feel the same way about people who think that relatively minor misdeamenors deserve felony prison terms...
- homesickalien, on 09/19/2008, -5/+23Sad...translating a movie for the good of your countrymen lands you 10 years in jail. A tad harsh methinks.
- pintomp3, on 09/19/2008, -0/+15maybe if we catch a blackwater or halliburton employee downloading music we can finally get some justice. funny how jurisdiction isn't a problem when corporations want people punished but not the other way around.
- pintomp3, on 09/19/2008, -1/+16they should have called the move "Unwanted"
- inactive, on 09/19/2008, -5/+20FREE KAZUSHI!
- inactive, on 09/19/2008, -1/+15What what, in the *****, I said what what, in the *****.
- artfiend77, on 09/19/2008, -3/+15The difference is Osama is being hidden by the same people looking for him.
- inactive, on 09/19/2008, -6/+17Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. Ten years is a bit extreme though since we let murderers and rapists go after just months.
I know a guy who killed a girl DUI...he got a measly 24 months for taking a girls life and they wanna give this guy ten years.
Public beatings would be so, so cool. - Spire3660, on 09/19/2008, -1/+11The fact is, 'up to 10 years' is far beyond a reasonable sentence for crime of this nature. 10 years shouldnt even be on the table.
- inactive, on 09/19/2008, -3/+13When they asked him why he did it, he replied:
"In an honest service, there is thin victuals, low wages and hard labour. In this, plenty and satiety, pleasure and ease, liberty and power...
"No, a merry life and a short one shall be my motto." - dejanigma, on 09/19/2008, -2/+11Whew, i thought this was gonna be about me....
- lordmetroid, on 09/19/2008, -1/+9Lets get on with the raping! After all we all on internet is such advanced criminals already, pirating and stuff.
Pirating movies is the gate crime... - Albear89, on 09/19/2008, -2/+10Hey! don't go throwing drug dealers in the same boat as killers and rapists. I happen to know a drug dealer. He' s a really nice guy and he has the bomb *****.
- inactive, on 09/19/2008, -3/+11Kill yourself.
- rolandvvv, on 09/19/2008, -0/+8sadly, this is probably true.
- SpeedSteamBoat, on 09/19/2008, -3/+11Naw, that's sharing.
- artfiend77, on 09/19/2008, -3/+11I for one am happy with this decision. We have to do what we can to keep our streets safe for rapists, killers and drug dealers.
- aereaus, on 09/19/2008, -3/+10Jerk!
- xsecretfiles, on 09/19/2008, -0/+7Angelina Jolie was hot, that's all

- AndersenWatcher, on 09/19/2008, -0/+7In jail, "Jurassic Park" will be shown in the rec room on Sunday.
- vfreak2, on 09/19/2008, -6/+13Silly man. He ought to know by now how harshly authorities deal with pre-release material.
- pintomp3, on 09/19/2008, -4/+11calling piracy "stealing" is newspeak.
- transeth, on 09/19/2008, -0/+6"Hey what are you in here for? Im in here for 25 to life..."
"Oh I'm in for pirating movies online... 10 years..."
"Ooo. Wow. That's harsh." - inactive, on 09/19/2008, -0/+6A bad movie.
- RMoore08, on 09/19/2008, -3/+9You guys are doing it all wrong.
- inactive, on 09/19/2008, -5/+11>Don't do the crime if you can't do the time
Stop using old broken and flawed quotes. You're assuming your justice system knows whats best for you. gay - speel, on 09/19/2008, -0/+5Where is Anon when you need them.
- Kohaxx, on 09/19/2008, -1/+6Laws are different here though, this was Japan. Even still intellectual property laws even here are a bit out of proportion compared to violent crime laws. There is no "common sense" in the legal system unfortunately.
- RMoore08, on 09/19/2008, -1/+6Seriously.... to lose your life over a movie...
- weeFred, on 09/19/2008, -2/+7Hey!! I know a pedo.....
- Testiculese, on 09/19/2008, -0/+5But today is Talk Like A Pirate Day.
(I don't know where this came from, someone posted it on a forum) - Jiffylush, on 09/19/2008, -2/+7Glad they finally got this menace off the streets, I will finally be able to sleep at night!
- lostczech, on 09/19/2008, -1/+6In that case, lets have the Japanese look for Osama
- toyrifle1, on 09/19/2008, -2/+7Arresting a pirate on such a day, what blasphemy.
- pcrazy, on 09/19/2008, -6/+11It doesn't matter what you do! Another will pop up in his place! You can't stop it, you can't fight it. We will be sharing, uploading, downloading as long as we want, whenever we want for as long as we want. The more you tighten your grip, the more pirates and file sharers will slip through your fingers!!!!!
